Hengsheng was quite satisfied with the result of his upgrade and unexpected enlightenment. He raised his right hand, and a flame appeared above it—a flame he summoned with his understanding of the Fire Law.
He played with the flame for a while, sometimes making it hot and sometimes just warm. Yunsu tried to slap the flame on his hand, but when she did, she became confused because she did not feel the heat that a flame should have.
The law was unlike the Dao, which divides its power largely by the Dao levels—such as Dao Seed, Dao Blossom, and Dao Fruit. The Dao also grants an unimagined spiritual power to the possessors.
The law on the other hand does not grant magically powerful strength to its possessor directly, nor is its power divided by level like the Dao; rather, its strength depends on one's understanding and how one utilizes it.
His understanding of the Law was still at the surface level; at the moment, he only comprehended the state aspect of fire. There were more aspects of the Fire Law waiting for him to discover. Once he mastered the Fire Law under his command, its power would grow even stronger. Satisfied with his experiments, he put the flame down.
"Meow?" Yunsu, still wondering about the flame, cried out. Hengsheng gazed at her pitiful kitten eyes; his expression softened as he summoned a solid fire marble and tossed it on the floor. Yunsu's feline instincts kicked in, and she quickly chased after the red, glowing marble.
He looked at the cat with happiness and then noticed the time on the system panel. It seemed that the whole upgrading process had taken him a full day. Hengsheng thought about how his sense of time had changed since he started cultivating; before, sitting alone in a dark room for a day was abnormal, but now it had become the norm for him.
In addition other than the new element in the attainments section, he also found that his physical power had increased slightly. He assumed this might be due to his upgraded Spirit Core or comprehension of the Law. However, the sudden boost in body strength disturbed his plan to upgrade his race, as he did not want to do so while his body was still unstable. Instead, he made a change to the plan: he would upgrade his race once his body stabilized within the next week.

That left him 5,000 system points to spend. He began checking each of his abilities and skills that could be upgraded with those points, but the results disappointed him. Most combat techniques were too expensive—the cheapest, the Qi Surge Cannon Technique, required 6,000 system points to upgrade into a pseudo-heaven-grade technique—and his two main abilities cost more than a hundred thousand system points each. The secondary skills were upgradeable, but he did not want them at the moment.
With nothing left to spend his system points on, he turned his focus to preparing himself for battle.
"Master?" Blue's voice rang in his head. Then Hengsheng recalled that there were other tasks he needed to attend to besides training—a check on his System World, which he had left Blue to manage for a while.
"I am here. How is it going there?" he asked with curiosity.
"The progress of the System World is good, but there are some structural issues. I need your personal intervention to resolve them, Master. Are you available?"
"Yeah, I will be going in. Wait a second then," he replied, turning to Yunsu, who was still playing with the fire marble.
"Yunsu, do you want to come with me?" he asked.
"Mew!" she quickly left the fire marble and jumped toward him.
Hengsheng caught Yunsu in his arms and sent his Divine Sense to envelop her body. In an instant, she disappeared from this world—she had now entered his System World. Without hesitation, he closed his eyes and sent his consciousness entered the System World.
He appeared on the mar—the last location he had stayed at before exiting the System World last time. He waved his hand, and a grey cat appeared in his arms.
"Meow?" Yunsu looked around with curiosity and struggled to free herself from his arms, but Hengsheng did not let her go, as he now understood why Blue needed his help.
He looked beyond the planet into the vast cosmos above his head. Unlike the first time when he created the system world and there was nothing, now it had become orderly and filled with habitable planets—though, unfortunately, no mortal life had been able born or could survive there.
The reason was the presence of 12 beings, a powerful Tier 10 beings at the source of the origin, and Blue was also there.
Hengsheng looked at the kitten in his arm, who still struggled to break free to explore the new place. He bestowed upon Yunsu the power of the origin to protect her from the harmful aura emitted by those 12 beings.
A white light aura enveloped her body for a second, causing her to pause her wriggling in surprise, before Hengsheng released her.
"Meow?" she asked. "What is that light?"
"It is just a protection. I will go meet my administrator for a while; you stay here and don't cause any trouble, alright?" he said. After he left, he did not notice that her cat eyes had suddenly turned sinister!
Hengsheng then appeared above an immeasurably massive white star—the source of the origin. On the star's surface, he saw 13 figures, including the Angelic Machina, Blue, the Supreme Administrator System.
The other 12 figures, with different shapes and auras, he assumed were the Primordial Gods Blue had mentioned to him not long ago. Shortly after his appearance, some of them began to notice his presence.
He slowly floated down onto the star's surface and observed the 12 figures. Each one emitted a different aura of the Law—some displayed one law, others two or more—but all seemed to possess power on par with each other as a Tier 10 being. Their auras were powerful, yet nothing compared to Blue, who processed the origin power.
Among these 12 figures, the most eye-catching was a massive giant dragon reminiscent of those in Western fiction. Its scales glowed with every color of all spectrums. The dragon emitted the aura of multiple laws, but every one of them was the elemental laws—fire, water, wind, earth, or even light and darkness. Hengsheng had to admit, the dragon looked truly amazing and cool.
Other figures had their unique features as well. Hengsheng observed a massive golden tree emanating the aura of Life and Nature Laws; a grim reaper, a humanoid skeleton holding a dark scythe, exuding the aura of Death and Soul Laws; The twin titans, human-like but they had massive bodies bigger than the solar system, one of the twins had a black hair with the aura of Space Law, and another one is a white hair with the aura of Time Law.
There was an angelic being with a light halo above his head and 12 pairs of white wings emitting the aura of Creation Law; a demon being bulk body, a large horn, and a massive pair of bat wings, exuding the aura of Destruction Law; a formless, ever-changing being that seemed to emit the aura of Chaos Law; and a cube-shaped Machine entity that rotated continuously at a consistent rate, emitting the aura of Order Law.
Then there was a massive spider whose upper torso was that of a female human and on her face, there were numerous eyes. standing on the invisible thread emitting the aura of Fate and Destiny Laws, and an impossibly long and massive large purple energy life form in the shape of a serpent emitting the aura of Infinity Law. The last figure puzzled him the most—a human figure, a tall and well-built man who emitted the Aura of Balance Law.
When he touched the ground, his human size was completely dwarfed by these 12 figures—even the smallest, the Human Primordial God with the Aura of Balance, stood at a height of five meters.
"What are you looking at? Quickly bow to your lord, the System Maker!" Blue, the Angelic Machina, shouted, displeased with the Primordial Gods who continued to observe her master like a rare animal. With her shout, each of them began to show some respect to Hengsheng.
However, he sensed that they did so only out of fear of his administrator’s power. Hengsheng shook his head; it seemed he had to assert his authority for once. With that thought, he emitted the aura of the supreme being toward the Primordial Gods.
