(NURIEL, LIBERNA)
“Sir Waisar?” The timid voice of Nuriel’s guard interrupted the rhythmic scratching of his pen.
“Yes?” He asked, not stopping nor looking up.
“I announce the Crown Princess Rosemund.” That got Nuriel’s attention. He looked up and put his pen down as the guard bowed and she walked into the room.
Nuriel placed his hands upon his desk and pushed himself to his feet, his chair scraping as it was pushed back. Folding his hands behind his back, he glided over to greet her. “Your Highness, how may I help you?”
The guard inclined his head before stepping back out to resume his post in front of the door.

Rosemund tucked a wayward tress of her golden hair behind her ear and graced Nuriel with her elegant smile. Then her lips twisted into a lovely sneer. ” My loving father-in-law makes sure I don’t know anything about events outside the palace.”
“Another family has fallen victim to Hurricane and Tsunami… The Gabel’s”
Her face relaxed to neutrality, “Where are the children staying?”
“They were killed as well…”
Her brow furrowed as she tried to keep the sadness out of her eyes, “I wish I could agree with them but their methods are simple too brutal.” Nuriel nodded in agreement. She sighed and stepped toward him, resting her head against his chest. “Is there anything I can do to help things, Nuriel?”
Nuriel put his arms around her thin shoulders. “Just keep whispering in His Highness’s ear. It’s the best either of us can do.”
