The Strigoi's Precious Venom!

The Strigoi's Precious Venom!

This is a story about five Teenagers seeking vengeance.

Five Hunters Lived in a Village cut away from civilization.

The Village was peaceful, but on nights where the moon was full a villager perishes under mysterious circumstances.

Four villagers were found with blood drained from their bodies and cuts on their throats.

After the discovery of the fourth victim the Villagers pleaded for the Hunters to find the Killer.

They soon realized that the Killer was no man, but a different being entirely with a love for human blood.

Don’t toy with things that can bite back.

- Dora Nielsen

“This is the place.” Celosia Barnes looked at multiple caves around the area along with three boys, brushing her brown hair with a hairclip of a bat in the process. There were numerous rocks around them, many were jagged and sharp; they tried their best not to go near them.

The cave entrances were of different shapes and sizes, but the largest one, that the four could see, was the one that they needed to explore. This area of the Twisted Core was known as the Cave Labyrinth, due to the area resembling a maze of giant caves.

Above them, they could see no sky, just more rock, moss, and vines that covered the cave ceiling.

Despite this, the rock above the group appeared to be glowing. It was large enough to provide light to the Twisted Core, giving off light like the sun on a bright summer’s day.

“Do you think there’s a trap?” Celosia asked Hisoka Ikeda who was to the left of her as they were unable to see into the dark cave.

Hisoka leaned down before closing his gray eyes, trying to listen to something in the cave. Hisoka’s eyes suddenly opened as they began to glow as he made sure no dirt got on his suit.

“Yes, there is. Those blood sucking freaks are waiting for us in the depths of the cave, so they can get the jump on us.” Hisoka grumbled, standing up again as the group looked over towards the cave entrance.

“Maybe there’s an alternative entrance that we can get the venom from.” Arata Minami suggested, his gray eyes blinked. He was ready to fight anything in that cave.

“I doubt it guys.” A voice called out to the four, from someone that wasn’t in the group. Masumi Nakanishi was communicating with the four through their minds. He was directing the group towards the Vampire’s venom, after finding the cave.

“I’ve checked the computer but there’s no other way inside this part of the cave. The vampires must have blocked them off so the light outside the caves can’t touch them.” Masumi told them. The only entrance that they couldn’t block off was the one that the four were now standing in front of.

“Celosia, unload one of your weapons. I got an idea.” Masumi ordered Celosia, who pulled out a gun. When Celosia opened it, a grenade fell out.

“What about it Masumi?” Celosia asked.

“They’re flash grenades instead of ordinary grenades. They can create light which we can use to stun the vampires.” Masumi answered. As Celosia gripped the grenade, she took out the launcher before smiling.

“So we’re giving them a little warning about what we’re about to do, huh?” Celosia stated quietly. As she and the boys were able to hear the Vampires move around.

However they looked, these vampires were the ghoulish strigoi type, so they were unlikely to be as professionally dressed or intelligent as the ones that the group often see back in their home city of Cassilda, back on Earth.

This oncoming battle will be like fighting feral cavemen. Stuffed feral cavemen, in this case, due to the blood from the animals as well as other creatures they must have eaten around the Cave Labyrinth.

The Cave itself was pitch black with the sound of dripping water nearby. Not even Hisoka’s heat detecting ability was able to let him see the inside of the cave, as his vision was mainly black.

All they could see was dozens of human sized figures leaning down and grabbing things at several corners of the cave. They could see something purple at the cave’s center, which was likely the venom that the strigoi often kept on guard whenever they found a place to call home.

For vampires from the regular fang bearers to the tragic Scottish faes the Baobhan Sith, the venom was ecstasy to them, but to Hisoka, liquids, like venom, come off as purple in his heat signature vision.

The group split into groups of two after realizing that the Strigoi were planning on something as they moved to both sides of the Cave’s entrance. Hisoka and Arata were standing to the right, they were waiting for Celosia to throw the grenade into the Cave to begin the assault for the venom.

“Anytime Celosia, let’s just get this fight over with.” Haruo Machida begrudgingly spoke as he bumped his two leathery gloved fists together as his piercings on both sides of his ears shined in the sun, as did his scarlet eyes.

Deep down, Haruo, as well as Celosia, Hisoka and Arata felt guilty that they were even fighting in the first place, but he knew that these strigoi would kill anyone that comes to their caves that they marked their territory in as they knew that all they care about now was anything with blood inside as well as the venom that they’re able to produce.

Unlike the vampires down on Earth that at least try to find blood without hurting innocent people. Most of them at least.

“Right.” Celosia, without hesitation, removed the top of the grenade before throwing it into the Cave to unleash a large flash explosion, which stunned several strigoi in the process.

The four soon went in, with Celosia starting the battle for the venom by firing several more flash grenades towards several strigoi who hissed before they charged towards the group.

From the brief flashes from the grenade. The four quickly saw the strigoi appearances, they looked exactly as they were in several pictures and books that they read or seen. From the gross dried pale skin and missing hair, their goblin like ears and nails that were red like blood, but were sharp enough to cut flesh and cloth.

Nails that they wish to use on Celosia, Haruo, Arata and Hisoka, something of which the four weren’t going to let them do as they quickly found themselves backed into a corner by the horde.

“You know what we need to do.” Hisoka yelled, with Haruo and Arata quickly looking at him, as they were briefly busy punching and kicking several strigoi that went near them. Celosia too did the same thing with the grenade launcher when a strigoi got near her.

“No shit, let’s do it already.” Arata snapped back to Hisoka.

Hisoka, Arata and Haruo’s eyes began to glow bright, as did several vampires eyes too. Celosia stood back to let the boys transform.

Scales quickly covered the boys bodies as they began to change in shape and size.

They grew several feet to the point that their heads almost reached the top of the Cave.

Their eyes soon reopened as they quickly finished their transformations. Arata resembles a large bear with black scales. Hisoka was similar, with black scales covering his form, which was a large hare.

Haruo however, was different. His scales were scarlet and his form was a large lizard with white and brown coloured hybrid spikes coming out from his back and one smaller one from his forehead. His claws were sharp, as were Hisoka and Arata’s.

They were ready to cut into the vampires like what Haruo did just now when one snuck up to Celosia. He slashed the strigoi downwards onto the ground, creating a small impact in the Cave, but causing the face of the strigoi to break into several pieces like glass.

Arata and Hisoka jumped forward in their forms too, before they slashed at several vampires, breaking them up as well as causing a puff of smoke to appear from their bodies as they broke into pieces.

Celosia continued to fight, impressed with Haruo, Hisoka and Arata’s forms as she blew up several of the strigoi that jumped near her.

“Masumi, we’re getting close to the venom.” Celosia turned over towards the path further down the Cave now that the fight was attracting more light to the Cave. She saw something in the back of the Cave.

“I think I can see it too.” Celosia pointed over towards the venom so the boys could see. All three of them turned over towards where Celosia was pointing.

At the center of the cave, surrounded by black water, was a small vial of purple liquid, with a bit of smoke coming out of it on a small rocky hill.

“I’m going for the venom!” Celosia told the boys, with Haruo giving a thumbs up with his scarlet claw, as Celosia pushed by several large rocks to make her way over towards the vial.

Only for several vampires to land in front of her, to which Celosia aimed her launcher at them.

But, when she pressed the trigger, no grenades shot out. “Shit!” Celosia looked at her ammo as she realized that it was empty.

As the Vampires jumped forward, Hisoka launched himself over towards Celosia before he grabbed two of the three strigoi that jumped over to her, while the third one jumped onto Celosia as he tried to dig his claw into her stomach.

Hisoka bit and ripped into the two vampires that tried to claw at him, killing them and breaking them into several pieces. Celosia meanwhile pushed her legs upwards towards the vampire's crusty stomach.

“Get off of me!” Celosia yelled, her voice echoing through the cave as she kicked hard enough for the vampire to be launched towards the top of the cave, causing him to be impaled by one of the rocks hanging above him and Celosia, before breaking into several pieces.

His cracked body parts rained down onto Celosia as she got up, as Hisoka ran over towards her.

“Let’s go.” Celosia ordered. While Haruo and Arata were busy finishing off the remaining strigoi group, Celosia and Hisoka ran over towards the venom, with Celosia grabbing it.

But as the two were about to leave to rejoin Haruo and Arata, who finished off the clan, the four heard a scream from the back of the cave. Haruo and Arata couldn’t see who was screaming.

But Celosia and Hisoka did. There was one lone strigoi left. The Strigoi used a supersonic scream loud enough to cause the cave to shake.

“Shit, we have to stop him before this cave collapses!” Celosia shouted. Hisoka nodded and, in an instant, he leaned down before jumping off from the small rocky hill that Celosia and himself were on, throwing himself over towards the strigoi.

The vampire didn’t have time to dodge as Hisoka quickly smashed into the vampire, breaking him apart in the process.

Hisoka growled, it was too late. The vampire screamed loud enough for the cave to start collapsing onto the group.

With Hisoka being the first victim.

The rocks came for him fast before it smashed the kaijin multiple times as they and dust surrounded him until Celosia was unable to see him anymore, but a bright flash followed by white particles floating upwards into the air confirmed to her that Hisoka was killed by the collapse.

Celosia was going to join him if she wasn’t quick enough.

“Crap!” She shouted as she ran down the small hill and towards Haruo and Arata, only for dozens of rocks to land in between the two, creating a pile that Haruo and Arata weren’t going to be able to get through fast enough to rescue Celosia.

However, there was a gap above the pile large enough for Celosia’s launcher and the vial of venom to reach the other side, which Celosia noticed.

“Haruo, Arata. Look up and catch!” Celosia shouted from the other side of the pile, as Haruo and Arata looked upwards.

To see the vial and grenade launcher thrown over towards them. They managed to catch the vial and launcher, before they were forced to run out of the large cave, as more rocks started to fall above them.

As for Celosia, she gasped as a boulder fell on top of her,

It crushed her before she had a chance to dodge. Similar to Hisoka, Celosia exploded, before white particles floating upwards as they vanished.

Celosia and Hisoka seemingly died, however, they were brought back down below the cave, through the rock and out into Space, where the group were in a large crater for something that can help them back on the planet below, where they lived.

The planet Earth.

Back on Earth, Masumi was sitting in a small house that was a mess, with papers as well as other objects lying around. He was sitting in front of a small old computer, which had four status reports on the screen.

Each represented Celosia, Haruo, Hisoka and Arata. The only thing that was on the computer was green text with a black background, a map of a place called the Cave Labyrinth in green and a body scan of the four members of the group on their status screens. In the case of Haruo, Arata and Hisoka, it was their human forms and not their kaijin forms.

On Celosia and Hisoka’s status screen they were reported as DEAD with a number next to their body scans that read zero percent when it was originally a hundred.

Near Masumi was a big red teleporter with wires connected to the computer he was using. He looked up as the red teleporter began to glow.

Suddenly, after a flash, Celosia and Hisoka would land in the teleporter, still alive, but looking somewhat sick from what happened in the Cave Labyrinth.

“You’re back. I guess getting smashed by rocks wasn’t fun?” Masumi moved away from the computer and ran over to Celosia and Hisoka, pushing back his red glasses as well as his already pushed back hair.

“I’m never going to get used to being crushed in the Core. It’s the worst way to die there.” Celosia coughed as she got out of the teleporter, before her and Masumi looked over towards Hisoka.

“How are you doing Hisoka?” Celosia asked.

Hisoka was still a large scaled hare, one that was almost out of breath as he soon turned back into his human form, as he and the rest of the boys were still supernatural even on Earth. He was also wearing the suit that he had on him again, due to the use of magic that allowed him to regenerate his clothes whenever he turned back into a human.

“I’m still out of breath from that jump, but we wouldn’t have to try and run out of that damn cave if we managed to kill every last vampire.” Hisoka tried to remain focused as he got out of the teleporter before he walked over towards the computer with Celosia and Masumi.

“I thought we managed to kill them all.” Hisoka rasped.

“You know vampires, they’re sneaky when it comes to attacks. I guess that applies to those dry strigoi too. What that strigoi did almost broke the venom vial.” Celosia revealed, which caused Hisoka to gasp.

“Shit the vial it’s---In Haruo’s hands. He and Arata told me that they escaped the cave in one piece. They’re heading back to the teleporter in the Cave Labyrinth and should be back right about---” But before Masumi could finish, the teleporter glowed again.

After a flash, Haruo and Arata were now standing in the teleporter.

“Now.” Masumi finished as Haruo smirked before holding up the vial Celosia threw at him earlier, having come back from the trip to the Twisted Core, which was what the group called the strange crater like planet that’s above earth.

The Twisted Core appeared before Earth a few decades ago. People at first passed it off as a meteor, until they realized that it stood in place and wasn’t going to move near or away from Earth anytime soon.

When this was noticed, astronauts and scientists got interested in the Twisted Core’s mysterious nature and were sent to Space to try to find a way inside of it, only for some mysterious force to push them away whenever they got close to it. No matter how much they tried, they were unable to land on the planet.

They eventually gave up on trying to find a way into the core and moved onto other things. People’s interests about the core died down too after it was first discovered, although if you look hard enough, you’ll eventually still find people with wild theories about how the core has some sort of giant creature inside of it that will rip open the core one day and land on Earth to attack it, or that the core houses some undiscovered minerals that can improve Earth’s resources.

It came to the surprise of Celosia and the Hoshino group that they found this teleporter that lets them go inside it. They saw for themselves just what the core had inside of it, mainly supernatural creatures that were more dangerous than the ones in Cassilda and abandoned landscapes from an unknown time.

“Mission accomplished; we got the venom.” Haruo looked relieved.

“Welcome back. I’m glad that you two got out alright.” Celosia was also relieved as Haruo and Arata walked over towards the group.

“Thanks, hopefully we don’t have to go back there for a while. The Cave Labyrinth is always so hard to navigate and most of the missions we do there go chaotic. Like what happened tonight.” Haruo tossed Masumi the vial before he looked over at it.

“It’s in perfect condition, but don’t celebrate just yet guys. The part of the mission up in the Core might be over, but we still have a lot to do down on Earth.” Masumi lowered the venom after looking at it.

“Such as why we needed the venom in the first place.” Masumi stated, as the group quickly remembered what they needed to do next.

“Oh right, if I’m right, the Morgue should be closed by now, but Arabella’s body should have been brought there now.” Celosia spoke. Her and the rest of the boys quickly checked the time on their watches and phones, which had just turned eight. An hour had passed since the Morgue closed.

“It will give us a lot of time to go in, apply the venom before finding the bastard that killed her so we can simulate what he put her and the other girls through.” Celosia lowered her phone, having checked the time using that before mimicking her thumb going over her throat.

“We should be quick, we’re basically breaking in to do this. We’re fucked if we get caught by any guards that could be there.” Haruo warned, not liking the breaking in parts when it came to missions.

Something of which Celosia, Arata, Masumi and Hisoka shared similar thoughts of.

They left the small house they were in soon after, which was worn down and a bit of the roof was damaged, but not damaged enough to expose the inside of the house and ruin anything inside it. It also looked like it was formerly painted red too.

Around the group was a small Park with overgrown plants, weeds as well as trees that almost covered the abandoned house.

Near them were two paths, one leading out into the streets of Cassilda and another towards the boy's home which was a tall white building, along with other boys that lived with them. They were called the Hoshino group and they considered themselves a family of kaijin that stuck together and had been for a long time now.

Especially since there wasn’t much kaijin left in the world and those that they remembered, were hunted down due to their organs as well as body parts being considered valuable to hunters that grant them powers. So they keep their status a secret from people, including supernatural citizens that live in Cassilda, with the only person that knows who they really are being Celosia.

Who was the only person in the group that was human.

Haruo is the most important member of the Hoshino's as he cannot be captured by these hunters or anyone for that matter. As his heart, known as a God Heart was a special kind of organ that hunters seek from certain kaijin born with them which grants them more power as well as strength then regular kaijin have.

Unfortunately, as of right now, Haruo only has the strength part.

“No guards around, unlike what you think Haruo.” Hisoka joked to Haruo who glared at him.

“Hey, you can’t be too prepared for who we might run into in a building that’s closed for the night.” Haruo pointed out.

“Yeah, they could still be inside. This isn’t exactly a fortress.” Celosia warned the boys. It was only a small building, so small in fact that it only had two floors, with the second floor being the basement where corpses were kept before they were buried in graveyards.

One of them was Arabella’s body.

Arabella Moore was a nice woman who worked at a supermarket near the group’s houses. Celosia had seen her a few times when going to the store to run errands for her family, but the two barely talked.

But it still shocked Celosia when Arabella was found dead just a few days ago. She apparently heard something while working during a shift and went outside to investigate it, that was when whoever killed her jumped out and put two punctures in her throat.

Arabella wasn’t the only woman in Cassilda that died with her throat ripped out. Three students at Horizon High, the school Celosia, Haruo and the rest of the Hoshino boy’s attend died around Cassilda under similar circumstances.

Teachers were even considering closing the school down for a few weeks until the murders stopped, but the group realized that the deaths were similar to how a vampire drinks blood from a victim, they realized that a rogue vampire might have been behind Arabella as well as the other three girl’s death.

Which is why they needed the venom. They wanted to avenge Arabella’s death by finding her killer by using the venom to track him or her down.

“Are you sure this window will even open?” Masumi asked Celosia, as just now the group had spotted a window leading into the Basement.

However it was locked when the group tried to open it.

“No, they’ll obviously lock it to keep trespassers like us from entering, and we can’t break it open, or it will eventually trace back to us.” Celosia pointed out as the group leaned down to look at the window some more.

It was large enough for everyone in the group to go through and it was the less risky way of going into the Morgue without having to go in through the front or back doors and sneaking past people who were likely patrolling the inside of the Morgue.

“Hang on, let me try something.” Haruo leaned down. He slowly removed his leather glove, exposing his hand to the group.

Which was entirely covered in scarlet scales. His fingers were even sharper and almost resembled the claws in his kaijin form. He used his index finger which went into the lock, surprising the group.

“Will that even work?” Arata asked. Even an aloof person like him was stunned that Haruo was trying to unlock the door with his finger.

“Does it hurt?” Celosia asked.

“Not when I tried it on other doors as test practice. It does work on the doors at home, so it will likely work on the window.” Haruo revealed, as he twisted and turned his index finger, but Arata snorted.

“I doubt it.” Arata grinned, only for the group to hear a click coming from the keyhole. When Haruo moved his index finger away before pushing on the window, it opened, allowing the group entry to the Morgue. Haruo turned back to Arata as he put his glove back on.

“Did it now?” Haruo teased Arata who blushed in embarrassment, but the two boys soon climbed in through the window, once Celosia, Masumi and Hisoka did so first.

The Morgue was dark thanks to the lights being turned off, but due to the moonlight they managed to see bits of dirty water on the wall as they noticed the white palette floor they were standing on. It was cold too, due to the fact that there were freezers near them that contained corpses.

Some of them were on tables near the five, including Arabella Moore. The group approached her before looking down at her neck.

At the side were two large holes that tore the side of her throat, the fatal wound that killed her. Having seen a lot of bodies already, the group still looked uneasy upon seeing a few more.

They wanted to get out of here as soon as possible.

“Let’s use the venom already before we get caught.” Celosia urged. She wasn’t even looking at Arabella’s corpse anymore, and neither were the rest of the boys, except for Masumi, who proceeded to take out the venom.

But, before he could apply it to Arabella’s wound, a sense of uneasiness made him hesitate, something of which the group picked up on.

“You alright Masumi?” Haruo asked, noticing how uneasy his friend looked. His voice was quieter than it was earlier that night.

Masumi however still kept his composure.

“Sorry, I just realized that I was never this close to a body before.” Masumi stammered, noticing the uneasiness with the hand that was holding the venom.

“You don’t have to do this, you know. One of us can do it.” Celosia suggested, with the group giving assuring looks to Masumi to let him know that he can give the venom to someone else.

“Can you? I’m sorry, I.” Masumi stuttered as Haruo took the vial off of him.

“It’s fine, this scares us too. We just need to try to get this shit over with.” Haruo reassured. Carefully he opened the vial before placing as much of the venom onto Arabella’s wound as he could, which glowed purple as it soaked into her throat.

“It’s glowing, that means it really was a vampire that killed her.” Celosia pointed out, turning over to Masumi, remembering him talking about how the venom works before the group left for the Cave Labyrinth.

“If we stand around a few seconds then it should send us a---” But before Masumi could finish, the group felt a quick migraine run through their heads as they rubbed them in pain.

But in doing so, an image of a person appeared in their minds, someone who they quickly recognised from Horizon High.

“Shit, that means.” Hisoka stopped himself. It seems the group were thinking the same thing too.

“I need a proper image of him now. With my ability, we can track him down and finish this mission.” Masumi told the group as they nodded before running back towards the wall leading up to the window that they got into the Morgue from.

Helping each other, they all got through the window again and were back outside the Morgue, with Haruo locking the window when he was the last one to get out, after Celosia helped him out.

“The Mortician's won’t notice the venom, right?” Hisoka asked as the group watched Haruo lock up the window again. Masumi smiled a little.

“Don’t worry, the venom tends to dissolve upon use so it won’t appear on autopsies, we shouldn't attract suspicion.” Masumi revealed, after Haruo locked the window.

The group ran back to the Hoshino’s home where they used a yearbook so Masumi could use his ability to track down the girl’s killer.

It appeared to be a boy that was also a student at Horizon High.

His name was Jonathan Graham and he was busy drinking something In an Alleyway somewhere in Cassilda, until the group found him.

“Jonathan!” Celosia called out to get the boy’s attention.

He slowly turned towards the group in the damp and large Alleyway filled with rain water a few hours ago as well as a closed dumpster nearby.

He had exposed fangs with blood dripping down them, he was holding a bag containing blood, where he was drinking from. He grinned, realizing that they wanted to see him at this hour of night for a certain reason.

“You guys are out this late. I didn’t think you guys would want to talk to me, given how we barely talk at school.” John watched, as the group walked into the Alleyway.

“Yeah, well after murdering a bunch of girls, you got our attention dick shit.” Haruo fumed, which caused John to laugh.

“Heh, so you’re here because of that?” John let out a laugh in response, gripping the blood bag before properly facing the group.

“You think I killed Arabella and those girls?” He blustered, gritting his fangs in anger.

“Well, I didn’t!” He snapped at the group.

“We didn’t say that we were accusing you of Arabella’s murder, but since you mentioned her then you must have known who did huh?” Celosia raised her dual pistols to Jonathan, who realized his mistake. He grits his fangs again before jumping over towards the group in order to try and silence them from knowing the truth.

Each member of the group however moved out of the way, with Masumi jumping high in the air, before transforming into his kaijin form, which was a dwarf flying squirrel with light purple scales and in an instant. Jonathan was smashed into the ground by Masumi’s large form, creating a small crater in the process as bits of blood hit the walls of the Alleyway, while Celosia, Haruo, Hisoka and Arata stood by the end of it.

Johnathan’s blood bag, containing Arabella’s blood, fell to the side. It splashed onto the ground, before the vampire quickly got up. He was injured with half of his head smashed in. He threw Masumi to the side before charging towards the rest of the group.

Celosia however slowed him down by shooting John several times with the pistols, but the vampire only laughed at the girl, before he began crying out in pain due to the bullets, burning through his skin.

In fact, the bullets didn’t even hit him, but splashed onto him like water.

They were kind of gray too, they smelled like...

“What the hell is this? What the hell was in those bullets!?” John screamed as the liquid burned through as it sizzled into his skin, exposing the dead muscle that failed to work a long time ago. Only his vampiric essence was the only thing that was keeping John alive.

“They were garlic based; I quickly made some before we left to find you. Given the fact that we were going to beat up some rogue vampires tonight.” Celosia revealed as the group, including Masumi whose shoulder was broken from being thrown into the wall by Johnathan, walked over to the wounded vampire.

With Celosia aiming her pistols at his face if he tried to do anything.

“This wouldn’t have happened if you didn’t hunt down and rip open those girl’s throats. Vampires can get blood anywhere without killing someone, so why the hell did you do it Jonathan?” Haruo asked John, who simply laughed at the group.

“Heh, it was fun, toying with the lives of people, especially pathetic humans like you Celosia.” John laughed.

Before Haruo, in a fit of anger, avenged the girl’s deaths by throwing one fist through John’s face, killing him once and for all as well as ending the battle in the group’s favor.

Their mission was completed, with Haruo delivering the finishing blow towards the killer.

With the little help of a magic potion that sends things such as blood bags and corpses like Jonathan to a storage void, the Alleyway looked almost the way it did before the group fought Jonathan.

They soon went home for the night.

A few days later, at Horizon High, Celosia, Haruo and Masumi stood at a memorial of the three girls that John murdered at school.

John was reported missing following his death, but students were beginning to talk about how he was likely dead like the girls. Either way, the murders had stopped as well.

“I’m glad Jonathan isn’t around anymore and that we managed to find closure to Arabella and that girl’s death thanks to that venom.” Haruo smiled, before he started to walk away, with Celosia and Masumi following beside him.

The three began to head to their class with Professor Cottontail.

“Speaking of the venom, I think it’s best if we get more from the Twisted Core soon. The vial we had was the only supply and we used it all on Arabella. You know how expensive it is to get some at the Magic Market then up at the Core.” Masumi revealed. Haruo and Celosia smiled over the oncoming trip to the Twisted Core and hunt for more venom.

“Of course, we should take a few days before going back up there. That mission did a number on us.” Masumi suggested.

“Well Masumi when we’re ready then I’m up for fighting more vampires or whatever we’ll face next at the Twisted Core.” Haruo quipped, always bracing himself for any battle that gets in the way of his goals.

He wasn’t the only one, Celosia too, was happy to fight alongside him and the boys in order to help protect Cassilda as well as the Hoshino group from anyone willing to expose who they are to the world.

“Count me in too. The more venom we get, the quicker we are when finding vampire’s that decide to target others weaker than them.” Celosia smiled. Entering class with Haruo and Masumi, the three prepared themselves for an eventual trip back to the Twisted Core for another mission.
