People have different idea about magic. But they believes that magical power or mana comes from nature. And the wasted mana after the magic was dispelled will go back to nature. That is why people always uses magic everyday without problem with lack of magical power as long as they have the right size of mana chamber inside their body and the right control of their magic attribute. They can also reduce the mana used by chanting, depending on how precise the words is. But for all non human, they don't have to chant magic because they came from nature itself. They have already an attribute when they are born depending on what nature they belong to. Just like monsters.

[ Reduce to ashes. Fireball!! ]

*grrrrrrr*

[ he's enraged. Everybody quickly get away from him! ]

The group of hunters immediately increased their distance from the angered beast. Their face lacks confidence as they desperately run. From the moment they saw this monster, they know that fighting it could lead to them being wiped out. It has the same appearance of a bear. But a big difference is noticeable, the water surrounding its body and the blue-like gem eyes as well as the horn in its head makes it looks formidable. The monster raises its two hands. The hunters were late to react as the spherical water was formed above its head.

[ He's casting the water explosion! Run away as far as you can!! ]

The leader of the group immediately gave an order. They can't afford to block the magic.

[ Damn! Damn! Damn! ]

[ Retreat!! ]

< Boooom >

The magic has been activated. Seconds has passed and no one seems successful in retreating as the explosion was so great that all of the trees surrounding the monster are nowhere to be seen along with the hunters. Almost half of the forest has been destroyed. The only survivor is the leader of the group. While grasping for breath, he collapsed to the ground.

[ We should have *hah* abandoned the hunt from the moment I saw that damn Aquarior! ]

Aquarior, Ursafire, Orsolander, Thunderbear. This is the names of different monster with different attribute. They are the variant of the bear and they live in different places. A normal monster of this kind has atleast a strenght of E - class. Hunters with no reason to hunt will try to avoid it if possible. Their group also attempted to avoid the Aquarior while continuing their hunt but they underestimated the perception of an E - class monster. The face of the leader is full of regrets.

* Rawwwrrr! *

A fierce sound echoes around the forest.

( what?! Is someone still fighting it? )

While the Leader tries to think who was the other person that survived. A young man is currently facing the monster with a grin in his face.

[ Are you the one who did this? ]

A complete silence.

[ ...... ]

Realizing that majority of the monster does not have the ability to talk. Or maybe they do but only for monsters that have higher intelligence. He took out a book in his bag. 

[ Aquarior. A low rank monster. Hmm. Magic attribute is water. Weakness is lightning and thunder magic. This picture in my book look stronger than in real- ]

* roaarrrrrrrrr *

He no longer able to continue reading when the monster suddenly runs towards him. But the young man did not even move an inch. Only when the bear was 5 meters away from him did he stretched his left hand.

< Bang >

It happened so fast. The ground cracked due to the impact. But the young man is still in his previous position. Using his left hand, he keeps the horn from advancing.

[ Heeh. As expected of an aquarior. Always has the bad temper ]

Everyone that saw this will think that it was absurd. Then his next action was more absurd. He only side kicked the monster without warning. It was so simple yet the kick was so quick that the Aquarior did not have the time to react. He hit it accurately in the face. Dust comes flying as well as the water bear. When his left foot touched the ground the poor monster was already gone. Then the next scene was a a moment of silence. If someone saw this event they would clap their hands in amazement. 

* puchi * puchi *

Suddenly, there was a strange sound coming from somewhere near him. He rotated his body in hope of finding the location of the sound.

[ ?! ]

He reflexively jumped backward as he stepped a soft thing in his left foot. Then he saw a ball covered with dark scales slowly opening its two glowing orange eyes.

[ Huh? A wild dragon? ]

Using monster as a pet is common in this world. This is the best companion of an adventurer wherever he goes. Finding some monster to be a pet is not hard. First, it must be a newly born monster or an egg. It can be bought in the pet shop and from other merchant whoever has one. The other way is luck. Adventurers seeks their pet in a forest or dungeon. Sometimes they go to a far away place and steals the eggs from a monster. And if luck was in their side, they could meet a wild monster on their way. But they can't possibly meet a top tier race on the road.

[ A dragon?!! No way!! Am I dreaming? ]

The creature has the same size as the infant. Two round eyes with the color of orange. Pair of small black wings in the back and a tiny horn fixed in its forehead. The small dragon-like just stares at him. His eyes are suddenly beaming with interest.

[ When did you got here little one? ]

[ .... ]

[ Oh you can't talk? ]

( I thought dragons are the most wise above all races )

The small black creature begins to return to its former form as it sense threat from him.

[ Hey small guy. I mean no harm ]

He tries to step closer to the small black creature when suddenly.

[ I wouldn't touch it If I were you ]

A beautiful voice of someone was emitted behind him interrupting his actions. Izgor looked behind him where the voice originated from. An unworldly beauty is what he saw standing beside a tree. The beauty has black long hair reaching her knee. She's wearing white skirt and black clothing with buttons down the front and long sleeves covering her admirable snowy white skin. Izgor surveys the woman gaining the look of  displeasure from her.

[ Isn't it rude to just stare on someone? ]

[ And who might you be? ]

The cool wind blows passed them causing the trees and plants to dance. Smokes slowly disappears around them. The sun is currently bathing them warm and the sound of birds chirping is like a song making the atmosphere of an epic scene. It was only for a short time and the beauty begins to walk towards the small creature as she did not answer him. After she's infront of it she bends her body and picked it up. The small creature did no resist. Instead, it returned its form to normal to allow the beauty to hold it.

[ Hunters do have an intolerable behaviour like a beast ready to steal anything even life, just to satisfy their hunger ]

[ They are a crazy individual that I despise alot. Base on your actions just now, are you a hunter perhaps? ]

While talking, she caresses the head of the small creature causing it to emmits happy sounds.

[ Hey lady. Stop accusing me. I did not have the attention of stealing someone's property ]

[ Anyway, just answer my question. Who are you and when did you get here? ]

After hearing Izgor, the beauty turned around. The small creature begins to shine black lights and suddenly transformed into a ball of light. It circles around the beauty and entered her body through her back and disappeared complety. She looked at his face for the first time. Izgor feels like the beauty was looking down on him.

[ Is that a proper way to ask for somone's name? Shouldn't you state your name first? ]

She said that while crossing her arms.

[ You're mistaken me for a hunter. Im just a solo adventurer and my name is- ]

[ Anyway, I don't wish to hear your name and you don't need to hear mine ]

Just as he almost stated his name, the beauty interrupted him.

[ Im already here when that group of stupid hunters provoked the Aquarior. As for what Im doing here, you don't have to know that ]

Izgor doesn't have the tolerance to deal with her arrogance anymore and immediately turned around to leave.

[ Wait, you're not injured? That explosion magic surely could kill a veteran hunter. ]

He feels that the beauty doubts him as a normal passerby but he only smiled.

Magic was discovered when humans tried to emitates the actions of a monster. That monster has the attribute of fire that resulted in them frequently usage of fire magic. From that moment on they believe that fire was the only attribute. Until they realized that using fire magic against sea creatures they encountered during there hunts was not effective. Instead of avoiding this kind of monsters, they risked their lives seeking knowledge and led them to the discovery of magic compatibility and resistance. Fire is weak against water and water is strong against fire. And other liquid form attributes is able to oppose water magics.

To the question of the woman, The young man looked at his left hand that doesn't have a single scratch and he proceeds from walking.

It was 9 years after Izgor left Malfeur town. He tried to enter the restricted zone but met with an obstacle. A white boar suddenly charged at him making him realized that leaving was not an easy task. So he trained his body in order to fight the white boar. After some hardwork he finally defeated it and advanced to his journey but he met an obstacle again. This time, the monster he faced was a skeleton with a rusted bastard sword. He knew that the enemy was strong and he doesn't have a weapon that could fight the skeleton so he changed his tactics and trained until he succesfully defeated it. Just when he had thought that the skeleton was the strongest he faught, a horde of green humanoid monsters attacked him. He struggled greatly against them and almost faced death several times before he was able to escape. To pay back at them, he trained and trained everyday without stop and later resulted in a massacre of green monsters. After that, everytime he went farther away from the town he always met monsters stronger than him. He doesn't have a choice so he trained again and again. His true purpose was adventuring but all he really did was only training. That's why it took him 9 whole years to reached this place. Sadly, he did not encounter humans along the way until he heard a monster roar. He immediatly went to the location of the sound and discovered the fight between a group of hunters and the Aquarior. After that, it was him saving the hunters from the monster. He used his extremely sharp senses to locate the hunters but failed to know that a lady was watching the fight from the branch of a tree. From the lady's perspective, she only saw a blur of a man and all the hunters escaping disappeard one by one. She thought that the man is an expert in using body enhancing magic or perhaps he came from a clan that excels in annihilating the target single-handedly matched with their speed. One of this clans is the assassin clan. But the more she thought about it confuses her. Why would an assassin bothered to save a bunch of normal hunters? And he looks like the same age as her.

The woman patiently waited and used her magic to concealed herself. 

She wanted to test her presumptions so she summoned her familiar. She discovered that the young man was calm despite facing the monster alone. She thought that even if his not a member of the assassin clan, just like her, he could easily deal with the monster in this forest. So what was this kind of person doing here? The battle came to an end resulted in the total annihilation of the monster. She found out that the young man was not able to sense her familiar so she commanded it to emit a sound. He carefully observed when the young boy stepped on her familiar. After the young boy discovered the features of her familiar, she thought that he desired to own it and that was the time she revealed herself. After the exchange of words, the young man left immediately without caring why she's here. 

( A person who does not worry about a strange person is a strange person himself )
