The Solar System

So, children, we have discussed Chaos and the origins of our Universe. However, we still have much to discuss. When last we spoke, I told you how, when Chaos began changing and spreading, some of the energy and matter that was released began to coalesce into new beings. Well, children, while these new beings contained only a small fraction of Chaos's power and knowledge, this fraction was still more than we could possibly comprehend. The first of these new beings were gods of primal forces. These beings were Light, Energy, Matter, and Form, and they closely resembled the force that had created them. Like Chaos, they are ambiguous and ever-present. And, like Chaos, they gave birth to more beings that we would consider gods.

From Light and Energy came Ra. From Matter and Form came Ymir. Unlike their predecessors, Ra and Ymir had shape and structure. They possessed what we might consider bodies. Ra was a being of light and fire. He brought warmth and energy with him wherever he went. Ymir was a being of stone and metal, sand and dirt. He brought structure and stability with him wherever he went. For millions of years, these two gods contented themselves with wandering the fledgling Universe, exploring and discovering all that there was to see. But this did not last. Eventually, events transpired that created our Solar System. They created the Earth, the Sun, and the Moon.
