Volume 1: Chapter 3 - Deal
In the moment, the elven lady and I are sitting down in the tent as well face one another. She called me here to 'talk' about something in private which most likely don't need to be heard by the three goons.
"Well so what do you want to talk about?" I sighed. Originally I wanted her start the conversation because she's the one suggested to talk in 'private' but after 3 minutes of silence I kinda of lost my patients(100% did).
"Are you an Otherworlder?" The elven lady face wore a solemn look.
"How do you know this?" I ask in a rather calm voice.
However under my calm facade, I was truly shock! How do she know that I wasn't from this world? Was it a skill? Intuition? I'll have to silence her, even though I don't won't to be a murderer, I'll kill for my survival. This isn't earth anymore so earth laws doesn't apply here, this is a dog eat dog world!
"It was a skill that I use called 'Analyze' on you and it allow me to see your basic stats and titles, "
'Oh Analyze, how can I learn that skill?'
Inwardly I shook my head ' I'll worry about that later, first I need to see what this elven lady up too.
"Did you like what you see?" I ask with a amusing smile.
"All I saw was question marks and a title. First off, I know what you are thinking. I also know that you considering to rather or not to kill me. However I have no strength to defy you, compared to you I'm like a fish swimming out in ocean waters"
"If you knew all this would happen and your life would be endanger then why reveal this information to me?"
"It's all for the sake of my Empire!"
I see a flash of resolution in her eyes that cause my spine to shiver. Not in a way of me being frighten but in a way of excitement because I can tell that the future between the both of us is destine to be interesting.
"Well before we get down to business lets introduce ourselves," I made a gesture for her to go first which she caught on to.
"My name is Alyndra Umephyra, the first princess of the Nazira Empire. I'm 117 years old, one year away from becoming adult. And in the adventure guild I'm known as Hestia, S-rank adventure."
Alyndra concluded her 'detail' self-introduction and thus it was my turn.
"My name is Arthur Lewis, orphan. I'm eighteen years old and in my old world people called me Art." I concluded my quick self-introduction.
"Before we get down to business I want to ask you question, if you don't mind" I look straight into her eyes with a glare.
Not even flinching from my glare she replied "Yea, sure," with a fake dazzling smile.
"You don't like men correct?"
It was a rhetorical question but she answered anyway.
" I don't like despicable men, I also don't like the men that are two soft and is easy to bully."
"If you don't like despicable men then why are these three goons in your party?" I ask with a meaningful smile.
"There are two reasons why they are in my party: one, they were supposed to be my sacrificial pawns for the mission. Second, they are assassins sent by my big brother to kill me with poison." She spoke truthfully.

"Brother? Assassins? It seem like the elven royalty is getting corrupted."
"It's not elven royalty that is being corrupted but instead my big brother," Her eyes grew colder and she gave off a soft 'Hmph'.
"Well, what deal are you willing to make with" I asked. I knew she didn't call me out here just to talk about our lives, but about something that she wish to accomplish, therefore she needed my help.
In response Alyndra raised an eyebrow "So you knew, well not that it matters anyways.-"
She paused and then continued.
"As you said earlier I want to make a deal with you, a deal that I know that you can't refuse." She gave off a confident aura.
"Ohhhh~, this got to be interesting. Tell me the deal you have in mind."
"The deal is if you follow and protect me until my upcoming age ceremony when I turn into a adult. If you do this, then during the time you protect me I'll give you all the information you want from this world, I'll teach how to fight, and I'll teach you how to control sense and control mana."
I pretended to think for s bit, "No."
My words immediately made Alyndra look dumfounded, was it really that surprising? I don't like to be chained down and I hell don't like to be a follower, I'm a freeman.
Alyndra didn't think before replying " Why refuse. This benefits the both of us, you follow and protect me and I'll give you everything I know,"
"That's right there, the word 'follow' is not in my vocabulary, I don't like following behind people. I don't mind protecting but that protection does not include me following you," I replied with a aggravated voice.
"Ok then how about this, instead of you following me, I'll follow you instead!" Alyndra blurred out in rage. Her face was red like a tomato and it seems as if steam was floating of her face.
"Why go this far?" I ask with curiosity.
"All for the sake for my Empire,"
I shook my head and sighed "Since you're this desperate of need of protection then I'll compromise. You got yourself a deal," And with that a smile landed on my lips.
I then shift my eyes towards the opening of the tent and notice it was dark. Alyndra to notice right away after her eyes followed mines. She got off the ground and slightly bowed, "Thank you very much."
Before her body past all the way through the tent opening, I spoke "You going to kill the three goons?"
Without turning around, she softly spoke but it was in a rather very cold tone, "Of course." And with that she silently left.
I knew that she would do that. Now that she got me for protection she can now move freely. The reason why she didn't kill them earlier is because she knew her brother was going to send more assassins after her but this time next they'll be much stronger.
I lay down in the futon beside me and switch of the lamp. I think about today's past event that was all too absurd: Me transporting into a world of magic, gaining skills, and meeting Alyndra. My eyes slowly close shut as I think about these things, and I silently entered in the dreamworld.
