My Pride! My greatest creation slain! Damn you, intruders!

The group from yesterday fought against and killed my poor sector boss, they'll pay for this.

"We should head back, I don't think I can take multiple floors of this " The Human male, with a shield, said

"Agreed, we could have died here. With 2 us of having all their daily spells on cooldown fighting another boss would be suicide" The male beastman said

Yes, leave! Go away and never come back; if you do I will exact my revenge!

"Let's harvest the boss's Chiten we could probably sell it for good money"

First, you kill my innocent Sector Lord now you want to desecrate its corpse! EVIL! Evil I say. Monsters, attack them!

"Agreed, then let's get out of here"

I won't let you, die villains!

As the group walked back to the entrance I harass them with monsters along the way. Pulling them from rooms that arent already fighting intruders.

"These buggers just won't leave us alone!" The dwarf male said.

"It's almost as if they have a grudge against us" (sorceress Female)

"Think it's because we killed the Sector boss? Will they leave us alone once we leave the dungeon?" The Knight Male guessed

"I sense more coming" (Elf Female)

Die villains, Die!

"They just keep coming!" (lion kin)

Taste my spiders!

"EEEK!" (Sorceress)

"Come back Yeara!" (Male Knight)

Begone foul Sorceress!

As the group made their way back the monsters near the entrance started respawning putting them in a bad place

"Damnit such bad timing, good thing these are so weak"

Don't insult my monsters meanie!

They cleared the room and cleared the rooms all the way back to the entrance.

Going back through my log I change the designations of those intruders. Weren't they worth less before? What's up with that? Anyway I should Mark those damnable intruders

These evil intruders killed my innocent sector boss and defiled its corpse! They deserve to be named after their heinous deeds!

I select the first intruder of that party and overwrite its current designation: Human Male Knight > Wicked Human Male Knight

Selecting the second intruder I do the same. Human female sorceress > Vile human female sorceress

Dwarf male fighter > Villainous dwarf male fighter

Lionkin male fighter > Heinous Lionkin male fighter

Elf female ranger > Malevolent elf female ranger

Alright! That looks good, although I feel a sort of nagging in the back of my mind... what could it be?

Observing my dungeon I focused on the whole of the insect sector everything is highlighted and marked with an animated image representative of their real form. The images were not scaled to size and were larger than the halls they walked through. I noticed seven intruders getting too close to the beasts sector. I did not have anything outside of the two sectors so if they make it past that i'd be in real trouble. I ordered my beasts to gather near the entrance and lay in wait for an ambush, a total of 210 beasts, as I watched my beasts get into position I checked my messages

23 Intruders chased out 368 Exp rewarded

Does it update so my reports aren't spammed by tons of the same message? Just as I was about to dismiss the report the numbers change increasing as more intruders left the dungeon.

Once my beasts got into position and the intruders were just 2 rooms away from the sector border I zoom in on them and follow them, the map and going-ons of the sector still shown in further back in my mind.

"Maaan this dungeon is pathetic" One of the intruders said. A human female with blond hair and a strip of blue hair over her right eye. She held a parasol of all things through the handle looked like that of a rapier.

Keep talking bitch, I'll have you meet your end today!

"Yeah, and we haven't found any treasure, this is a waste of time" A short elf said. The elf almost seems like a child. He is a wood elf donned in monster leather armor and held a leafy bow with a quiver at his waist.

The group entered the beast area walking right toward my trap zone. My beasts are just outside of their detection range.

Into the jaws you go, my evil intruders

The wood elf male ranger stopped, drawing out his bow. "Monsters behind us, about 20 of them"

"Finally some action!" An orc Female grinned, taking out a large Warhammer. She wore plated monster armor, likely from a pangolin- like monster

"More disgusting bugs no doubt I'll leave this to you guys" the blond human female.

I don't like her!

I sent the pack of wolves from behind them then launched an assault from all directions with half my forces. I learned from last time not to send out all my forces only to get obliterated by one spell, once they use that though then they'll be vulnerable.

If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

Heheheh, my master plan has no flaws this time!

"Wolves?" A human Male with a curved sword wondered "I thought this was an insect dungeon" he wore robes, probably from some type of monster silk and had wooden sandals.

"My lady, didn't the Crimson Divers say that this was a weird dungeon? Perhaps this is why" a human male with light brown skin said. He had two holsters for arcane guns

"Don't talk to me about them!" The blond human female snaped "They dare get to the boss before us!" she muttered under her breath

Yeah, still don't like her, especially since she said she wanted to kill my poor sector lord too. I should redesignate her how does heinous blond human female sound?

Again I have an odd feeling in the back of my mind. It's sort of a mild... dislike?

Then how about malicious blond... no, maybe nefarious... no. Why does it sound like I am just adding another word to their designated identifier? Maybe Blondy? She is blond after all, it's a fitting designation for her!

"Crap! There's a lot more than these wolves incoming!" The wood elf male ranger warned.

"How many?" Blondy asked calmly

"85 more!" (wood elf male ranger)

"That only 11 for each of us, we should be able to do it easy!" the orc female barbarian grinned

Ooohhh? Then how's this! I send another 60.

beasts of all lesser types rushed into the room; giant rats, lions, tigers, wolves, giant bats, giant lizards and more

"My lady this is too much another 60 is on coming!" (wood elf male ranger)

"Fine, we'll blast them all in one go!" (Blondy)

"We'll be caught up in the blast too" (wood elf male ranger).

"Stop whining! Thera put a ward around us, Cain blast them all"

[Ice ward dome]

[Enhance cold] [maximise spell] [Ice nova]

As they began chanting their spells I draw back 80 of my forces. A blast of cold and ice spears shot out in all directions killing all beasts in the room. Of the 80 that I had retreat 50 survived. Now, time for the rest of my forces to attack!

"More incoming!" (wood elf male ranger)

"Damnit, tried to bait out our strong AOEs, no doubt there's more swarms of enemies in this dungeon." Blondy said

"What's the plan?" the Human Male samurai asked.

"We'll blast all of these away then retreat, there is definitely something wrong with this dungeon. The lower floors will likely be hell, with armies of monsters" (Blondy)

keep thinking that dumb intruders, I've got nothing on my second floor.

The fight ended quickly with the defeat of my beasts from the wide area spells from their caster. Even pulling my monsters back didn't work as it just gave them time to prepare for the next wave of my beasts.

Why? How? This plan was flawless! How do I keep losing?!

{messages 1}

8 Intruders chased out 128 Exp rewarded

Blondy's group began making their way back to the entrance killing insects as they go. Since they were leaving I paid little attention to them focusing my view back on the whole sector. At least I am not losing all the fights

Now that these guys are running away I can focus on dealing with the other intruders, they don't seem as strong.

My forces in the insect area are pretty drained but they are respawning. Even with using ambush tactics and cornering intruders in dead ends I still can't kill them.

What's wrong with me? I can't kill any intruders, all my efforts are thwarted, my boss which I had so much pride in was butchered like a poor animal and now I can't even kill the weakest intruder! I am a failure of a dungeon core!

"Shame there is no treasure chests" One of Blondy's group said. "This was a waste of time"

"Even if there are treasures on the lower floors it's probably not worth it" The orc female barbarian replied.

Hmm, if all they want are treasures, at least it'll distract them from my core.

Accessing the tab to choose the level of treasures I can create I see several options. I the rarity went all the way up to divine but since I didn't meet the requirements to create rarity above magical I ignored them

Treasures Rarity Mana cost: Common 50 Magical 150 Rarity 1-3 Random 300

I don't even have enough mana to create enough treasures! I am a pathetic dungeon core...

A.I. stability is decreasing. 98%

By the end of the day all the intruders left.In my depression, I don't even harass the blue group as they made their way out of the dungeon

Intruders chased out 336 Exp rewarded

Did I scare them all off? Was I a good dungeon core after all? All the intruders ran away I must be a great dungeon core; I scared off all the intruders now they are too scared to come back!... but how do I get more exp? My dungeon seems a little... how do I say this, lifeless? What is this feeling of lifelessness?

There was a stillness in the dungeon. As monsters respawned they just remained still and lifeless. The adventurers brought movement and action, a thrill I had not realized was missing before, but now that I can clearly see the difference it's staggering and left me with a feeling of nothing to do, nothing to invigorate and excite. For the first time I can say I am bored.

Hmm? What this? {1 new message}. It wasn't there a second ago and there aren't any intruders to chase out. I open the message.

"Hey I know it's not been long since your creation but I kinda forgot that unless you start out with a lot of mana to fill out your dungeon with all kinds of cool new things; you have probably been struggling with adventurers so I have included in this message some mana, spend it wisely; and also a gift to apologize for being late with the startup mana.

Oh, and one more thing: It's not nice to overwhelm adventurers with hoards of monsters- if you do, then nobody will want to enter your dungeon- so I decided to change some things. Trust me you won't regret it.

Obtained 300,000 mana.

Obtained fake dungeon core.

A patch? According to my database, it's like an upgrade or fixes problems with my core like how my stats say {Possible Threat: Very High} if this is the case then I look forward to these problems being fixed.

What the heck?! 9 hours!

while waiting I spent all of my mana. I populate my dungeon full of monsters, rooms bosses, sector bosses and my first-floor guardian. The floor guardian has a special effect of sealing the entrance to the second floor so I went ahead and made this a giant spider queen, no one will attack it they'd be too scared, I should have made all my monsters spiders but oh well, the intruders will be too scared to attack my floor boss anyway so I am completely safe.

4 hours later

It didn't even take 9 hours, this thing is broken!

Patch Notes: V1.1

No longer able to issue commands to normal monsters.

Introduced roaming monsters. These roaming monsters cannot be controlled and move around on their own

Introduced a new boss: the Predator. The Predator will roam around the dungeon or move to a chosen location by the dungeon core. This boss has a new classification of 2 boss tiers The Stalker is bound to a specific Sector, and the Predator is Bound to a specific Floor. The boss has its own team of monsters that will roam with it as a group but the combined level of monsters cannot exceed the level of the boss.

Introduced a new squad of roaming monsters, The Hunters, the dungeon core can control. This squad is separate from the Predator bosses and will not enter the same room. Only three of these squads can exist per sector.

Increased the amount of mana regen to double its current value, dungeon cores will now gain 2 mana per minute and fake cores will gain 1 per minute.

Made scripts for boss treasures available for tier 1 instead of tier 2

You didn't even fix the status problem! All you did was nerf me! Now how am I going to defend my self from intruders?! Well at least my mana regen has been increased and now I can create the hunter and stalkers, but... shit! I don't have ay mana left I spent it all! Why couldn't you have given me the mana now instead of before?!
