The moon, covering the sun has me captivated. The ring around the mother of the shadows. The goddess that gave us our powers. United with the god that brought the unchosen to touch the life of every living thing around us. The magic that they are blessing me with has an emerald glow. Faint but visible.
I lifted my hand up. The green danced in sparkles along my arms. The deamons messenger was here. He was going to bring me to the king. My summons was about to start on this very mountain.
The moons started it’s departing dance. Once the moon had left the sun completely I knew that times were to change. The deamons lord had come to top of this mountain. The very boarder of his territory. This was the only chance I could stop the true plague. His power could condense the dark of the immortal. The only problem I had left to solve was how to finally be rid of the rebirther.
“The moon has left us my enchantress. Or should I call you Ivy?” The deamons lord stepped closer. “You seek my powers I hear. This could benefit us both dear child.”
“E is good enough for my Drakor. I am known as the enchantress now.” I took a shuddered breath. “We have to stop the immortal sir.”
“E. I must say that’s good enough for me. I feel bad for all of your race. Battling with a power that even my ancient bones can’t comprehend. The power of endless time.” Drakor stepped towards me. “I have lived for well over 200 years but even I don’t have his power. Time corrupts. Some just have ample to learn how much so.”
“Sir he hasn’t had time. It’s more like he is time at this point. The legends say he wasn’t always this way.”
“No he wasn’t E. He used to be kind. Now he wants something that no race can give him. Absolute power. He has gotten greedy as he has been around.”
“Is that why he created him? The rebirther? Every time one of us is chosen that guy is here again.”
“The warrior that the immortal feels he needs. He is for the conflict and hate, and despises that the peace of the moon can stop it. Time always repeats with the loss of the past.”
“We need to quell the both of them Drakor. They will destroy all the lands if we don’t. They will enslave everyone they can with their lies on the way.”
“I know child. That’s why I’m here on such an important day. Your magic has been amplified and I can succeed. Only problem is the immortal’s powers will still require blood every seven years from the twelve wellsprings.”
“How will that succeed though? It would be a curse on the lands.” I rubbed my temples.
“E we will use the magic of the great sky meeting that only you can harness. The curse won’t attack anyone who is not born within the power of that spring. They bring protection but that one night ever seven years will claim a life. On that night it will be true darkness to attack not shadows. It’s my magic that will make this work.” Drakor started to pull a knife from his side.

“Yes but what do I really need to do to put this magic into effect one day?” I offered my hand to him.
“E the seed produced here you need to plant in Eden. At the very boarder. From there you will need to attach this string the forehead of the immortal. It will cost your life, but it will save the world later. Won’t it my dear grandson?” Drakon was staring at my eyes. Or were they the eyes of someone else.
“Why are you talking to someone who’s not even able to be born yet Drakor? I know you still have another hundred years if not two before that innocent young Drakon can have a child.”
“Don’t underestimate my power E. I’m an unchosen. Meant to guide you to save all the races. Only two other deamons have had that luxury. Someday you will meet the first daemon moon child.”
“How? A daemon has never been chosen.”
“Not yet. But someday your soul that is connected to the seed will guide this boy. I just wish Drakon knew how to pick an appropriate name. Now pass me your scroll.”
In a flash Drakor cut my palm and his own in one swift flash. He put our palms on my artifact. The scroll of eternity. I watched as the emerald sparks on my skin melted in. I noticed that Drakor’s shadow also melted with the scroll. In a blinding flash the scroll became a seed with a single thread wrapped around the outside.
“Now child take this and save the world that we love so well.”
I grabbed the seed.
“May fate bring you all those dreams you told me of Drakor. May you have a long life.” With my departing words I did the best thing in the world. I shimmered then faded.
I was at the river holding Padma captive. I reached down and greeted her. I felt her grab my hand gently and guide me to the shore of Eden.
“One day dearest friend a child born of the deamons will come to visit me. Please help guide them here and we will save you Padma.”
I trudged all the way to the back of Eden and placed the seed in the center of the a thorn bramble. Behind this very area was a path only a true tracker could find. A path to lead to destinies. What better way to help any moon child that should arrive. Sadly it was time to arrive in Quitar. That is where that beast would be. I closed my eyes and concentrated. I shimmered once more but the joy didn’t join me this time.
The dust and people made a racket in the short walk to Quitar. I wish this town was quieter. But since the golden king had buried his castle for that so called tomb it had become madness. If it was smaller I could just fade into the town but no. What spectacle was this anyways?
I went to the dirty cup. That was his favorite spot. The hooded gambler. Always cheating his way into riches. Sadly nobody knew that he actually had endless wealth by now. And the guard he always had would make this difficult. Then I hear it. His foot steps.
In came a man with a thick dark cloak. I jumped to my feet and started my decent on him. I flew at him with the string in my hand. I shoved my hand onto his forehead. Success.
I felt a pain in my stomach. That was when I noticed the man behind him. Joseph. The immortals warrior. His sword stuck in my stomach. I heard the laugh.
“You really thought you could kill me when I made the perfect guard. You foolish peasant.” The immortal whispered in my ear. “The best part is you failed. Now I will consume you completely.”
Blackness that drained all light started to creeped up to me. Then vanished.
“Looks like I succeeded. With this last breath I bind you and your power.” I let out my own laugh as I felt my soul depart to the seed that I had planted. Emerald all around just like the moon had graced upon my skin not so long ago.
I let myself drift into the endless glow until this very moment. The moment when the two of us should unite in the same plane. The deamon moonchild here along with me. The moment fore told so long ago.
