“You seem to have gone too far back,” said the Steadfast Knight. “My armaments are beginning to tax my shoulders.: make this story swift before my sword meets that scale-clad neck of yours.”
“I reassure you that my head is fixed onto my neck rather well, and it would take quite the skilled warrior to behead me,” mocked the Lizard.
“Running your sharp tongue in front of your executioner is very foolish, especially when mercy is an avenue which you seem to be renouncing.”
“Mercy is for those that dream and those who greed; I do neither.”

“This digression has led us off the running subject. Return to the story - a concise one at that.”
“So impatient: just like the first swine I had ever devoured.” the Lizard remarked in a snubby tone…
“The story, Lizard,” the Steadfast Knight shifted irritably.
“This is still relevant, I assure you: it was several decades after my conception when my wings had first started to sprout. In all honesty, my memories are quite vivid but the primary events should still be somewhat intact, even after all this time.”
“I would prefer a more accurate depiction of said events, Lizard.”
“Harsh demands from a harsher speaker,” muttered the scaly creature. “Your requests are quite bold to be asking of a Lizard as old as I.”
“Your kind are renowned for your ability to retain memories for a long time-”
“Thank you-”
“-but it seems as if words of deception have entered my ears.”
“Another harsh and scathing remark of yours,”
“The story, Lizard.”
