Chapter 7: Aboard the Howling Wolf

Nolaka took the time to bank his fire. Not wanting to burn down the rain forest, he called home. It had been three days since his vision of the woman and the spirits. He didn't see how the two visions correlated with one another, but he would hopefully find out tonight. Nolaka had prepared for a dream ritual once the remedy was ready to drink. He fell into a deep sleep. His body was safe on the fourth plane where the spirits lived. His talismans protected it from harm, admitting only his tribe's guardian spirits. The vision of the future would then pull him back, allowing him to explore the web's knots more deeply than he had in his father's hut.

Upon awakening, Nolaka found himself in the first vision, free from the ship's wheel. The surrounding area was no longer the raging storm, but the dark clouds remained overhead, filled with lightning spirits that shot back and forth, striking the top of the mast and coursed through the ship like a pulsing heartbeat. Before condensing into human shape. A voice startled Nolaka when it addressed him.

"You're not yet supposed to be on this ship young wolf.", spinning around Nolaka found an old man dressed in the traditional hawk tribe garb reaching for a blade he didn't have Nolaka shifted his footing preparing for a brawl as was common when those of the different tribes met.
