Full Moon

"Guys? I need your attention. It's full moon today. We will split up as we are going to be very busy tonight." Cap said.

"There's isn't any scientific proof that full moon is related to abnormal acts on the Earth..."

======================================

- 911 what's your emergency?

- Erm...there is a bottle of soda inside me... just... send an ambulance, please.

======================================

I looked at the bottle, and the caller, and the bottle without the cap.

"Just... Get on the ...stretcher, please." I said.

Please, kill me.

Michelle was trying very hard not to burst out laughing.

[Jackie] As you guys know, it's Full Moon today.

[Jacky] Some people, including most of the 118, believes that the moon affects human, for example, doing crazy acts, increased fertility rate and so on.

"That means we'll be very busy tonight. Michelle and Jack, you'll be flying solo tonight. Chim, you will be partnered up with Hen." Cap said.

- 911 what's your emergency?

- I'm calling from a Parenting Class, one of our students injured themselves on the stove

Jackie

Accidents happen, unfortunately. That's normal.

A soon-to-be dad was injured by falling dishes. Someone seems to have forgotten to stack the plates properly.

"No major injuries, just a broken arm, and cuts," I said.

"Ok. Let's go...."

Jacky

I think I heard someone screaming. 21:30

We turned our heads back...

"I...think my water broke."

"Ms, excuse me, I am taking a look... I'm checking for crowning. " Michelle said.

"Michelle, OB Kit," I said. "Gloves, and goggles."

"Thanks. Baby has crowned. The baby is coming out now. Jack, establish IV and give her oxygen." Michelle said.

"Miss? I... Is this the first time? Anything we should know?" I asked.

"She is a week away from her estimated due date. No special medical condition." The husband said." Her name is Ava."

The author's narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.

"Ok. Ava, I want you to take a deep breath and..... push push push push!" I said.

"Stop Jack! Stop! Checking the cord!" Michelle said. "Jack, tell her to pant."

"Alright, Ava, take a deep breath and pant, like you had gone jogging."

"Ok..Ok...Ok..." Ava said and started panting.

"Ok. Continue to push Ava! Push!"

I think I heard someone screaming.

Wait. Ava isn't the one who screamed...

"I need help here! My wife is giving birth!"

"It's... my... second one...its....coming...."

"My baby.. is coming out....."

Shit. We have a Labor outbreak here.

"Dispatch... we...erm....got a situation here. Multiple pregnant women in active labor. Please send more ambulances." I said.

"Roger that, Rescue 118."

"Jack I need your help. You need to deliver Sophia's baby. I can't handle two at the same time." Michelle said.

"I...I never delivered a baby." I said.

"Jack, just follow me. It'll be fine. Trust me." Michelle said.

"ok...Ok.".

"Sophia? Alright. I'm helping you to deliver your baby. Is there anything that we should know? Like your medical history?"

"No...Baby's healthy."

"Ok. I'm...checking for crowning... Ok. Crowning confirmed."

"I'm pushing..."

"Oh... erm....oh... Hang on...Ok. Now push! Push, Sophie PUSH!"

"JACK? STOP AND CHECK THE INFANT'S NECK. If the cord is around the neck, untie it."

"Cord isn't around the neck...Push, Push, push!"

(Sophie Screams)

"It's out... It's..."

"Jack, Get the bulb syringe and suck any feces in the infant's mouth."

"Ok."

The baby started to cry!

"Clip the cord, and cut the cord. That's it!"

"Congratulations, it's a boy. It's my first one...."

ON THE RESCUE

"Alright. 1 hour until the end of the shift," I said.

"Yeah. Full Moon. It's intense right?" Michelle said.

"Yeah. I delivered my first baby!"

"Congrats, Jack. That's a great experience, holding a life in your hands."

======================================

This is probably the last one for today. If things had gone smoothly.

"LAFD Paramedic!" Michelle knocked on the door.

Someone opened the door.

"I...erm.... got into a fight."

"Oh. Where does it hurt?"

"My arms. I think they're broken."

"Ok. Get on the stretcher please."

We pushed the patient into the rescue. This is when things went south (of the border)

Before we can react, the patient jumped off the stretcher and closed the doors.

"What the fuck?" Michelle said and tapped my shoulders.

"Oh, shit SHIT HEY!" I shouted.

"Dispatch, Rescue 118. Our rescue got stolen by a patient, he is driving the rescue away!" Michelle said.

"Roger that."

A police car approached us.

"Oh, Athena!" Michelle said.

"Hello, Michelle and Jack." She said.

"Great timing Athena. Look - our rescue just got stolen by a patient." I said.

"Let me take you guys on a ride," Athena said.

"Thanks, Athena,"

======================================

"We are interrupting the normal news program to bring you a piece of breaking news. A man had taken LAPD Police cars on a wild chase on the streets of downtown on an LAFD Ambulance. Our reporter James Miller is now on our Helicopter for live footage..."

"We're on the news again. How lucky am I." I said.

"Nah it's the full moon. Anything can happen." Michelle said.

"I saw someone eating up someone before," Athena said.

"Oh my god," I said.

"This is a crazy world..." Michelle said.

A FEW MOMENTS LATER

"Your rescue should be nearby," Athena said.

"Yes! I saw it! It's right in front of us." Michelle said.

We heard multiple collisions. The suspect is ramming cars with our rescue.

"It's going to be a long night," I said.

Soon, we heard a loud crash. The rescue crashed into a tree.

"I hope he hadn't mess with the supplies..." I said.

"Whatever, if he had he will regret it," Michelle said.

We jumped off the police car and headed to the rescue.

======================================

Well, the man is not injured. But our rescue is...

"Yeah. It's beyond repair." The field mechanic said. "No worries, I will arrange a replacement."

"Thanks, Zach (The field mechanic)," Cap said.

"Full moon," I said.

"Full moon," Buck said.
