The Skill Sage
Chapter 1: Prologue
In the world of Astria, everyone is born with access to the system through which they can gain power by leveling up. They have access to the system from when they are young but only on their 16th birthday do they unlock their Innate Ability and their level-up privileges. Currently, our protagonist is 15, turning 16 in a month, and is in the middle of a history class.
Focusing on a classroom, a middle-aged teacher with graying hair is in the middle of giving his students a history lesson.
"The Great Planes War from 35 years ago happened a few years after the system's initialization due to the increasing conflict and high tension between different states. As you would imagine, if a few worlds suddenly fused into one there would be large amounts of conflict and distrust between the citizens of different planets. Luckily or unluckily depending on who you asked that was when the demons decided to invade." That was when a girl decided to interrupt and ask a question that was going through most of the students' minds at the time.
"Wait. Are you talking about THE demons, the very same monsters our parents told us stories about when we were kids to scare us into being good?" She asked a bit in disbelief because imagine how scared you would be if you found out that the fictional monsters you were terrified of as a child turned out to be real.
The teacher sighed sadly before answering her. "Yes, but I'm sad to inform all of you that no matter how bad the stories make them out to be, they're much worse. As you know the universe is much bigger than our small world. We're not at the peak, we're not even qualified to be ranked in the middle among the worlds. Now, at the true apex of the universe are the Original Gods and the two Template Races. The Original Gods are the first 15 people in the universe to go above the S grade, which is a grade our planet has yet to have anyone even reach. There are 15 Original Gods which have existed for much longer than even our galaxy and each one of them are beings we cannot even begin to fathom."
He paused for a few seconds to give his students some time to digest that shocking piece of information before he continued.
"Then there are the two Template Races, the Angels and the Demons. Unlike in Earth myths from before the system initialization, angels don't represent good and light while demons don't represent evil and darkness. They both have their own methods of expansion, but that is something for a different session. For now, let's talk about what we mean when we say template races as. When we say templ…"
Sadly for those who were actually interested in knowing, the teacher was cut in the middle of his sentence by an abrupt scream from a kid who was taking a nap.
"WHO THE FUCKING HELL THREW A WHITE ROCK AT MY HEAD! I was in the middle of a great nap so you better" was all he managed to get out before the teacher shut him up using magic.
"SIGH, Mr. Stephens as nice as it is to have you actually awake for a lesson, I'm afraid that your disruption is not as welcome. Now I've been monitoring the class from the beginning, and I haven't seen anyone throw a white rock at you nor can I see the aforementioned rock anywhere. So, unless you mean to suggest that there is someone in this class with the ability to evade a D grade's perception, did so to throw something at you, and then silently retrieved it without me noticing it to leave no evidence behind I'd suggest you go back to sleep."
"What the hell are you talking about I'm holding it right here." He waved his hand before stopping mid-swing because he realized his hand was empty. "But it was right here. I swear it was... it was right here." He said a bit shakily before fainting, afterwards the teacher grabbed him and took him to the school nurse immediately. But, what the teacher and students for some reason failed to notice was that right above where the student was originally sitting an eerie swirling purple portal was floating before it disappeared as though it never existed.
[3 HOURS LATER]
In the school infirmary, lying on the bed was a teenager who was just waking up from sleeping.
"Ughhh, where am I?" he asked a bit dazed.
"You're in the school infirmary." Answered a voice to the side. When he looked in its direction, he saw a young blonde woman with blue eyes in a white robe that reached the knees and, on the left shoulder was an emblem with a green plus sign on it, the signature healer's guild uniform. She continued "Your teacher immediately took you here after you fainted. I've scanned you with all my skills and although I don't know what exactly happened all my diagnostic skills indicated that there isn't anything wrong with you. If you need any more information, then I recommend checking your system notifications or going to a hospital for a deeper diagnostic. Now if you'll excuse me, I have other patients."
After she left, he finally opened his unread notifications.

To say he was surprised when he saw his notifications would be an extreme understatement. He was shocked due to two things.
First are the class notifications, usually you'd choose a class from a variety of options generated by the system based on your skills and history at level 10. Then at level 25, you'd evolve your class, and then at 50, you'd gain a subclass. So, to say he was worried when he read about the lack of subclasses would be putting it lightly, but considering the class was unique it was probably worth it. Anything in the unique grade as you can tell from the name is one of a kind and not only that they are always powerful in their abilities. Currently, on the planet, only one person has a unique class, and it is a spectral assassin class.
Second, are the skill notifications, usually, skills are things you gain and level through hard work. Although it is not unheard of for geniuses in a given field to gain skills quickly, that is still after hours of hard work and years of preparation. After that are the grades, he'd never heard of the inferior grade. The only grades he knows from lowest to highest are Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Sovereign, Mythic, and Transcendent. He'd never heard of someone gaining skills without doing anything let alone gaining skills before even unlocking level up privileges. Then there are the actual skills themselves which are weird. How unclimactic their names are may be the most normal part of the whole experience. He finally decided instead of wasting any more time thinking about it he should just check his status window.
'Status' He called out mentally.

And after he was done reading.
Congratulations! You gained {Reading Lvl.1 [Inferior]}
Now he was more confused than before. So, he looked at his class for some answers.
Skill Sage
Description: You are a master of all trades and a jack of none. You aspire to gain every skill and raise them to their peak.
Effects: 300% boost in skill learning, and you have no natural stat gain per level.
"No…Oh god no…" Now usually outside of the 10 stat points you're given a bonus to a stat per level depending on your class. For example, somebody with a mage class would get +3 intelligence every level, and usually, these stat bonuses are what compose a large portion of everybody's strength so not having them essentially means that you're never going to be strong. "SYSTEM!?!? What the fuck is this? How is this fair." And just as he was ready to go on an entire rant the system decided to answer.
You will gain stat bonuses depending on your skills. Skills will give stat bonuses starting at the Uncommon grade.
Now he was both relieved and confused. Although he was screaming at the system he didn't actually expect it to respond to his questions. It was a well-established fact that the system doesn't respond to specified questions outside of special events and just as he was pondering over the matter his train of thought was interrupted by a notification.
Congratulations! The Skill { System Interfacing Lvl.1 [Inferior]} has leveled up.
Congratulations! You gained {Deduction Lvl.1[Inferior]}
Now he thinks he was getting the hang of it. So, if what he's been led to believe so far is true this might be very overpowered. Now he just needs to check. 'Open Skills'

Now normally after finding out that they had gotten such a broken ability a normal person would celebrate, but Joey couldn't be defined in any sense as normal. So unlike a normal person he….
"Nurse! I need some help! I think I got a concussion from having a rock thrown at my head. I need immediate treatment, PRONTO!!!" He shouted, startling the nurse who was just talking to someone.
