London, England, 1802
“Get your paws away from my wares this instant you filthy urchin! Come around here again and see if I don’t call the constable!” Was all Allaster heard as he was thrown out of yet another shop while trying to stuff bread down his pants.
“Cough~ Cough~ damn stockist I wouldn't have to steal if any of the people round here had any care left in em’.” Allaster mumbled to himself as he brushed the dirt off of his already worn and torn black pants.
Looking up he noticed the sun was beginning to set meaning all the stores would be closing. “Damn another night in the sewers.” he grudged making his way towards an all too familiar eroding iron gate which separates the streets and the underbelly of the city.
Forcing it open he made his way down while hunting for rats he could potentially cook over one of the barrel fires down the alleys filled with other beggars. After an unknown time had passed Allaster had yet to bag a single kill and was about to leave and find somewhere semi-safe to sleep hungry.
Deciding to give it one last try he stumbles upon a rather sizable crack in the wall just large enough for a boy his age to fit through. Hoping to find some form of sustenance he reaches trying to find the end of this crevice. Deciding to move his body partially into the crack he didn’t realize that the darkness in the bottom of the crack isn’t rock or soil but in fact a large hole to the unknown. Losing his footing he struggles to hold onto anything bit of jagged rock he can. “Help please anyone I need help! I’m going to fall please hel...” His last word cut off as he plummets through the abyss below. His poor life flashes before his eyes. His easy early life filled with fun and games all the food he could eat and loving parents. The day his parents were killed by two men in all-white suits as he hid in a cupboard and the fact not a single person would believe him. His last two years eating and living off the streets as a beggar now 15 years old and about to die a gruesome death. The second his body made contact with the ground below he lost consciousness.
When Allaster came to he was astounded he was still alive. In fact, he couldn't feel a single injury on his body but as he looked down he clearly had landed on solid rock. “Wait, is this marble?”
When he panned his vision up he saw he was sitting about a meter away from a huge wall made of marble with a massive door in the center. Delicate and highly detailed sculptures and pillars lined the wall engraved into the pure white stone.
“Is this Roman? It looks distinctly roman especially when you add the fact I’m sure that is Latin writing on the arch.” Allaster has always had a habit of mumbling to himself especially when he was working out a problem.
“I sadly don't remember much from my 13 years of schooling but this is extremely familiar.” Allaster brushed himself off having forgotten the fall he just took and walked up to the gate and surprisingly when he pushed it opened right up.

While walking in he panned his head around taking it all in. The floor was marble but the walls were made out of normal stone. Statues lined the walls presumably of Roman Legionaries holding large shields and spears. When he moved his eyes to the center of the room in the far back he noticed a much large statue than the rest.
“Atlas the Titan” he mumbled to himself. Knowing that Atlas always carried a globe he looked up. “AARRRRRRRRGHHH!” He collapsed onto the ground with a raging pain in his head. Strange symbols he had never seen before entered his mind tearing up his psyche. After an unknown amount of time, the pain slowly drifted away leaving an exhausted Allaster lying there on the ground.
Collecting his thoughts he couldn't recall any of the symbols he had seen but he didn't dare to look up again. He cautiously approached the base of the statue and noticed a bowl also made out of marble attached to the base of the statue. Inside the bowl could be seen a knife and to the right a few words in Latin and a picture. The words bizarrely morphed from Latin to English ‘Prove your ancestry’ the picture displayed someone cutting their finger and dripping the blood into the bowl.
Already beyond freaked out Allaster made a beeline for the door only to find it wouldn't budge. “AHH!” he screamed as two of the legionary statues started to move towards the door. Scrambling back he watched as the two simply stood guard and crossed their spears in front of the door. “Bloody hell what is this damned place.”
Thinking it over he comes to the conclusion that the best option really must be to use the knife and bowl. Picking up the knife he grimaced as he cut open his middle finger. After the blood made it to the bottom of the bowl nothing happened for a few moments. Losing his patience Allaster was about to start looking for a way out again till there was a blinding light coming from above the statue.
Looking up he instantly inverted his head again knowing his mistake. To his surprise, however, no pain came. Gently lifting up his head again he could look at the shining runes with no pain. The light began to die down and as it did he noticed something floating in the middle.
It was hard to make out its shape as the entirety of its body just looked like an extremely starry night sky. No matter which way Allaster looked at it from he saw a different section of the night sky. He could vaguely make out its shape it looked like two pyramids stuck together at their bases. While he was admiring it a mechanical voice sounded out in the room that made him jump.
“Vena Diem XIV Februarius MMXX…. currens locus 51.505457, -0.075359….. language detected: modern English, System integrity: Optimal, Structural integrity: Optimal, Network ping: Operational: 12, UN-Operational: 1, current altitude: 11m above current sea level, surface life: confirmed. Initialization completed, parsing ancestry results.”
Silence reigned for a few moments and just as Allaster was about to exclaim his astonishment in a loud voice the mechanical one continued.
“Ancestry results confirmed: descendant of Aegir Giant of the Sea, Norse Titan, bloodline purity: 2%, minimum conditions met, commencing fusion.”
Before Allaster had a chance to react the space like gem came flying out of the runic lines plunging straight into his heart. Without even knowing what happened Allaster passed out once again.
