Chapter I: You are brought here by Chance

Chapter I: You are brought here by Chance

Lucius instinctively shielded his eyes, overwhelmed by the overbearing and radiant godly aura emanating from the unknown entity.

“Cease your fear, for you are in my abode, Emperor of Silver.”

The entity approached Lucius and his aura shines brighter and brighter as the distance between them closes in. Curious, he then lowered his trembling hands, and found himself standing in the presence of the legendary deity, its body brimming of pure light as its eyes like amber hover over the vulnerable Lucius. The air is filled with an unpredictable energy as space distorts around the area, and Lucius could sense the wane and flow of luck surrounding and swirling around the god like an eternal ephemeral dance.

With an enigmatic smile, the god, whose visage appeared in motion with the arbitrary behavior of chance, The god spoke, as it realized that Lucius lowered his guard while still being cautious.

"Lucius, Emperor of the once mighty Silver Empire, you now stand in the realm of Tsantse, Mediator of Destined Fates and the Weaver of Cosmic Probability. Your fate has been mediated and has taken a sudden twist, the primordial forces have removed you from the threads of fate in this world in order to serve a greater purpose.”

Lucius stood in the venerated presence, an amalgam of marvel, astonishment and curiosity dominating him as his senses felt chilled. He was overcome with breathless awe as the brilliant radiance of Tsantse's otherworldly form surfaced to reach right into the depths of his soul. He was dubious of all that occurred as he permeated before the celestial being, a series of questions arose within his mind, a typhoon of doubt and skepticism was brought from the encounter with the deity.

The once-bright aura of Tsantse dwindled with a speck of sadness, its brightness waned. A cosmic sigh echoes and reverberates through the abode of cosmic infinity, and Lucius, with a keen silver eye, notices the shift in the god's demeanor.

Fueled by a curiosity-driven empathy, Lucius revised his query.

"What tales of anguish carve over your divine form, Tsantse? What tragic cosmic stories have drawn you into this subtle state of fall with your aura?"

Tsantse, respecting Lucius's cognitive ability, unraveled his tale.

"The brilliance you see once reflected the delight of my devotees. Tragically, mortal afflictions such as wars and calamities have cast darkness upon them. As their numbers wane, so does the radiance of my existence, an ethereal dance quite interconnected with the destiny of each follower."

Throughout this conversation, Lucius became immersed in the intertwined fates of the celestial and the mortal, a cosmological symphony in which mortal challenges and the ethereal essence integrated together like the pages of a story from another plane of existence. Lucius caught Tsantse's gaze in the cosmic solitude with a sincere question.

"Tsantse," he called as he walked closer to the deity.

"What path should I traverse after this? Why did you select me, and what duty do I play in this life?"

The luminescent aura of Tsantse faltered, and before he spoke, an interval of silence crept between them.

"Lucius, your selection wasn't meaningless nor unprecedented. In the harmony of chance, your spirit strongly connects with the threads of fate. I foresee a future in you, a capability to influence cosmic threads, to shape a fate transcending the ordinary."

"However, that doesn’t exactly answer the question, why me? What really makes my spirit essential in this cosmic play?" Lucius inquired, feeling the burden of fate pressing down on him.

Tsantse's ancient, amber-colored eyes were brimming with insight as he replied,

"Your gifts, your leadership abilities, and the core of who you are coincides with the rhythm of fate and chance. You're an agent of transformation, a mortal whose influence extends through the cosmological fabric of existence, altering destinies that were unforeseeable."

“So, in simpler terms.. you’re just saying that I am.. Special?” Lucius replied with a monotone voice.

Their surroundings started to crack and quake in the cosmic abode started in the middle of their conversation. Without wasting time, with a firm glare, Tsantse revealed Lucius's predetermined course of fate as the cosmic solitude of the deity’s abode began to collapse around them.

"Lucius" the voice of the deity speaks in a serious tone,

"I designate to you a reincarnation in a world known as Draven, it is a world once bustling with life, magic, and vigorous existence. A home of different races, with abundant traditions and culture. Yet, it fell to the Nyctorns, which were undead beings whose overwhelming numbers led by a powerful figure who was said to be the incarnation of death, ultimately resulted in the annihilation of all life on the continent."

Lucius took in Tsantse's words, feeling the pressure and visualizing a world decimated by the Nyctorns' darkness. Tsantse proceeded on to declare,

"I will overrule time itself to turn back this devastation. You will be born again, your previous existence as Lucius Kaiser Alastair Salvacion Silver will vanish. Instead, you will find yourself in a barony estate, the initial location of my loyal devotees.”

Tsantse looks at Lucius with a reassuring gaze, as he speaks. “Silver Emperor, in this reincarnation, you may lose your name, but your core essence will remain. Save Draven, and my people."

Nevertheless, cosmic dwelling was collapsing swiftly, as Tsantse's influence weakened.

"Time is of the essence, it has caught up to us" the deity responded immediately. "You'll figure it out soon. Remember, Lucius, your essence persists beyond memory."

Tsantse left Lucius with those fateful words, leaving a captivating light in the cosmic space as his essence was imprinted onto Lucius's eyes.

In the midst of a baron's mansion, Lucius was awakened to the faces of his new parents, and to the sound of him crying like a baby. He started a new life in Draven, a world on the verge of restoration, unaware of his former identity, Tsantse's cosmic intervention has set an order, a tale of rebirth and redemption to this world.

Lucius’ parents reached out to him, soothing his cry and calming his demeanor. He stopped crying and looked directly to his parents. He met a gaze with his mother, a calm and peaceful motherly look that warms his heart. With her mother’s subtle and melodic voice, he was granted a new name, a new identity to strive in this world.

“Our life’s most brilliant light, your name will be known as..”

“Lukas.”
