Just as Holly was about to slam the steel baton into the boy's face, she felt something slam into the back of her neck, saving the boy just in the nick of time. Holly slowly turned, noticing the small pebble lying on the wooden floor, likely the object that had been thrown at her. "What?" She asked Bart.
"I didn't throw that; it came from over there." Bart turned his head, gazing down the further end of the hallway, which was dimly lit, making it difficult to see anyone who might have been there.
"Whatever." She whipped around and raised the baton again, about to slam it into the boy's face, only for another pebble to strike her neck. And then another, and then another, and then another, and then two more for good measure
"ALRIGHT, whoever the fuck is doing that, come out. I'm not in the mood for any games right now." Holly stared into the darkness, and after a few seconds, footsteps could be heard, as a man slowly moved out of the darkness and towards the two guards.
"I'll stop when you stop." The voice came from a man with a calm gaze and long, unruly black hair that stopped at his neck. In his right hand, he tossed a pile of pebbles up and down.
"Who's he?" Bart asked, and Holly sighed and rubbed her head.
"Only the most annoying guy in this whole institution. I have to beat him every other week for insubordination. Chiro, piss off." Holly took a step forward towards the man, who had no intention of stepping any further, nor retreating. "And stop with the god damn pebbles."
"I won't." Chiro replied, letting the pebbles resting on his palm drop to the ground. "He's about as durable as an old man, if you hit him with that thing, he'll keel over."
"Just get to your cell already, I don't feel like beating the shit out of you for the fourth time this week." Holly began to lightly pound the baton into her open palm as she spoke.
"Look, Holly, we're just wasting our time at this point, and I really want lunch. How about you beat that kid, and I-" Bart whipped around to drag forward the kid only to find the boy had vanished within the blink of an eye. "WAIT, KID?"
"Pfft. Did you think he'd sit around and wait for you to beat him?" Chiro slid his hands into the pockets of his tattered jump suit, and then spun around. "Course, I won't just stand here and let you beat me either. So just try and catch me." He grinned, and then walked off into the darkness, leaving the two guards standing by themselves in the hallway.
"Fuuuck. If Dr. Stain finds out about this, we could get into some deep shit. Let's split up and look for him, and if he tries anything funny, just kill him. Of course, alive would be better, but dead is fine too." Holly then hastily sped off after Chiro, leaving Bart to take the other path.

While the two guards had their attention completely focused on the mysterious man with the long black hair, Igil stood where he was, the idea of fleeing not even present in his mind. All he could think of was what he had just done, how he had threatened the guards, and the repercussions which could have almost resulted in the loss of his life. He couldn't understand. Why? Why did he say what he had said, and done what he had done? Why did he feel like his pathetic life was worth fighting for?
As Igil stood there in shock, he felt a cold hand grasp his shoulder quietly.
"Come with me, as quietly as you can." The stranger whispered.
Igil slowly turned his head and found that the boy grasping his shoulder was about the same height as he, with short brown hair, and a gaze that was just as calm as Chiro's. "...Who are you?"

The mysterious boy did not respond and began to make his way down the opposite end of the hallway, away from the two distracted guards silently, and Igil, reluctantly followed. Instinct. He thought to himself. What I did back there, and what I'm doing now is just instinct. There's nothing more to it.
As the boy moved down the hallway, he brushed his hand against the wall, and just before they made it to the very end of the hallway, the boy stopped in his tracks, his hand brushed up against the wall. He gently applied pressure, and what seemed to be a well disguised door swung open quietly.
As the two stepped into the secret hallway, the boy closed the door behind him, and then let out a sigh. "Sheesh, that was the most ballsy thing I've ever done. That was kinda badass, huh?"
"..." Igil eyed the boy with caution and took a step further down the dark hallway to put some distance between the two, much to the boy's amusement.
"Oh, that's right, I guess I do look sorta shady. My name's Bayani, and I'm just like you. We're in the same situation, so you dont' need to be scared of me, you know." He held out his hand, and Igil stared at it.
"My name is Igil. Was the man back there a friend of yours? He's probably getting beaten as we speak, you know." Igil replied.
"A 'thank you' would be cool too." Bayani grinned, and then patted Igil's shoulder, before making his way further down the hallway.
"...Right...thank you." Igil followed Bayani, who opened up yet another door, leading to a cramped room which seemed like it had been in the midst of construction before it was abruptly stopped. There were bricks, nails, and buckets of paint lying across the room, and in the middle was a strange chair.
"What is this place?" Igil asked.
"A few years ago they wanted to expand the lab, but cause this place basically gets no funding, they stopped building it! So now it's like my little hangout place for my crew. One day, we'll get a nice little couch up in here."
"Your crew? Are you not a subject of this laboratory? I don't believe that's allowed." Igil replied.
"Well, I don't think threatening an officer with death is allowed either, but that didn't stop you, you pussy." Bayani bent down, pulling out a loose brick from the wall, and peering through the hole left in the wall. "Hey, sit down in that chair for me."
"...Why?"
"I wanna test something out. You see, you're kind of interesting." Bayani stood up. "You act like a mindless idiot, but I feel like there could be more too it."
"Mindless idiot?" Igil slowly sat himself down in the chair, and then realized exactly what Bayani was talking about...he had literally just done exactly what Bayani had told him to do without even thinking about it.
"Mindless idiot, dumbass, fool, bricks for brains, honestly, choose whichever one you like." Bayani grinned again and then walked over to the chair and started to strap Igil into the chair.
"...I don't care what you call me." Igil's eyes narrowed down at Bayani, who stepped back after setting up the chair. "What exactly is the nature of this test?"
"Oh, it's to see how much pain you can withstand. It's an electric chair, you know." Bayani smiled again, and pulled out a remote looking device from his pocket, fiddling with the controls. "I'm not really sure how it works, so I'm just gonna press all the buttons, kay?"
"An..electric chair?" Igil peered down at the straps binding him to the chair, and began to feel drops of sweat rolling down his head profusely. It was just one thing after another today, except, it didn't seem like he'd be able to get out of this one, not with this maniac keeping him strapped to the chair.
"Stop fucking with me." Igil squirmed slightly against the tight straps, trying desperately to get the attention of Bayani, who was busy trying to figure out the controls on the remote. "Let me out of here, or I'll kill you!"
"Good luck with that! Oh, I think I figured it out...how about we start off with a light shock, and then work our way u-"
"Stop fucking with me, you psycho." It's happening again. I always feel like it wouldn't matter if I ended up dying, but whenever push comes to shove...I contradict myself. Igil summoned all of his might, but unfortunately, there wasn't much of that. Not even a single strap came off. "If you don't let me go I'll make you pay."
"How can you make me pay when you're dead though? As a ghost, maybe?" Bayani couldn't help but snicker watching Igil desperately squirm and twitch as he tried to escape the chair...and then walked over to Bayani. "Alright, how about we finish th-"
Igil pulled back his forehead and then slammed it into the boy's forehead with all of the force he could muster, sending the boy stumbling back, and causing the remote to fly right out of his hands from the shock. Igil opened up his mouth and then bit onto the end of the remote, holding it firmly in his mouth.
"If you want this fucking remote, you're going to have to beat the life out of me to get it, you bitch."
