Synopsis
Jackson Valentine, known as "The Silent Killer," is a feared contract assassin who lives by a strict moral code, keeping his dark profession hidden from his beloved daughter, Emily. His final mission shakes him to his core when he's ordered to kill a nine-year-old boy, Devon Harper, who witnessed a crime. Unable to murder an innocent child, Jackson arranges for him to be hidden safely. He then retires from the underworld, dedicating himself to raising Emily in a quiet suburb, always fearing his past might catch up with them.
Years later, Emily, now a detective, grows estranged from her father due to his secrecy. She is suddenly thrust into a world of betrayal and violence when she finds Jackson murdered in their home. Investigating his death, Emily uncovers her father's hidden past as a contract killer and learns that his murder is linked to his decision to spare Devon's life.
As Emily tracks down the killers, she discovers that Jackson died protecting Devon, who remains in hiding. Faced with a choice between justice and her father’s legacy, Emily decides to honor Jackson by saving Devon, ensuring that the boy Jackson once spared remains safe. The story ends with Emily leaving the police force, determined to live by her father’s code while carrying the weight of his secrets.
