Kai stepped out of the building and into streets filled with people running around. As people got too close to him they began to panic, Kai ignored them.
Arthaya and Seth appeared next to him. Kai raised his hand and began drawing out lines of light blue mana. Kai wrote out lines after lines of runic script forming a complex and intricate circle. In the center was what looked like a stylised pair of wings surrounding it was multiple circles of runic script.
The circle floated off towards Arthaya as Kai began creating another circle. In front of her was a massive web of runic script and runic circle. Seth was off to the other side muttering to himself as he created his own circle and cast his own spells.
Kai’s finger moved yet again creating concentric circles of runic script and in the center of which was a stylized crown. Kai continued creating more and more lines of runic script that circled around the crown.
As he worked people ran around as they abandoned the town. The people were nearly in a panic yet all of them avoided him. All of them except for one man. The man who had arrived to evacuate the town ran over to him.
“What are you doing kid. Get out of here now.” The man said.
Kai turned cold eyes towards the man and spoke one word. “Leave.” Kai’s words were filled with the weight of his aura causing the man to stagger backwards. Kai ignored him and turned his attention back to the spells.
Kai finished drawing up the second runic circle and gestured for it to float off towards Arthaya.
Seth gestured and the two runic circles he had created floated towards Kai. One of them merged with the medallion hanging around Kai’s neck. The second one merged with Kai. Kai nodded to Seth and he disappeared into the medallion.
“I am the jagged shield both blocking and returning the blows of titans. I call upon the cold black river. I summon the harbinger of final commings. The endless cold that embraces all. The third artifact of the stygian depths. End clad.” A river of black stygian death water crashed down and around Kai. It flowed around and through him drowning him in the waters of death. Kai plunged his hand into the water and ripped out a mass of writhing liquid metal.
The metal started crawling up Kai’s arm, armoring his body. His hands were covered in tight fitting gloves. The metal shifted and flowed creating a sort of solid metal cloth. The metal coated Kai’s body creating a set of loose comfortable robes. The cloth draped over him causing it to billow slightly.
The metal flowed up to Kai’s back and over his head forming a set of large black metallic angel wings and a simple circle of black metal. The wings made all the looked at them feel as if they were looking at an angelic. They made everyone feel the urge to kneel before something so far above them while it judged them. While the crown gave them the feeling that it was by the angels' laws that they would be judged.
Finally the metal coalesced into a cracked and crumbling black metal halo floating behind Kai’s head. The halo gave off a holy and benevolent feeling. Yet it was marred by the cracks. The cracks gave off a feeling of desecration. Within the cracks were remnants of the immense powers that had created them.
Arthaya reached into the armor and pulled out a writhing ball of black energy. “Use the other two spells now. I will maintain the other spells.” Kai nodded as her voice echoed throughout his head.
With a gesture the circle containing a stylised crown floated over. The circle was now wrapped up in lines of runic script from Arthaya but its effects were mostly unchanged.
Kai placed his hand in the middle of the circle and chanted the spell. “I am the tyrant of the heavens and the horizons. I am the final authority over the rumble of thunder. I rule the wild force surging through the clouds. Those that oppose me are struck down by my furry. I claim the crown of thunder. Below me all bows. Thunder crown.”
The runic circles surrounding the stylized crown collapsed inwards meeting with the crown in the center. Slowly the crown started to come into being. The base of the crown was thick and jagged like a bolt of lightning. Around the base were small jagged prongs sticking up with dark electric blue jews and storm gray metal. In the front were three larger prongs. Electricity was cracking around the base and jumping from prong to prong.
The runic script that Arthaya had made wrapped themselves around the crown and then reached up to Kai’s head. The wrapped around the loop of black metal and dragged it towards the crown. The two merged together, the base of the crown was now made out of death black metal inlaid with storm gray metal and blue gems. The crown floated over and settled onto Kai’s head.
The circle with a pair of stylized wings floated over to Kai. Before he could start chanting the spell something caught his attention. Kai’s eye’s flickered over the runes trying to figure out what it was that had caught his attention. He allowed mana to flow into his eyes as he examined the circle. His eyes turned towards the main circle keeping everything together. It was similar in design to a web. It was attached to multiple circles and was simultaneously interacting with all of them. Kai could understand what exactly was happening but he knew something was missing.
Kai’s finger moved as he pulled upon his blood mana. His finger moved creating three runes that he knew he had seen but wasn’t sure where. The runes merged into the web and while he knew that it could be improved he put it out of his mind since he didn’t know how to.
Kai set his hand on the center of the circle and started chanting. “Lightning the blood of the skies. Thunder the roar of the firmament. The wild force surging beyond even the horizons. Beneath me all resides and beneath me all bows. Thunder form.” A crack formed in the circle splitting it in two. Another crack formed, splitting it in four. Two of the pieces cumbled further into small fragmented runes. The fragments started swirling around each other in a vortex, inside the vortex something began taking form.
Inside of the vortex a set of heavy plate armor began to form. The armor was a solid storm gray with embellishments of electric blue. Set into the armor were patterns made out of the same dark blue crystal used to create the crown. Set into the center of the chest and the pauldrons was a lighter blue crystal. The armor gave off the feeling of a tyrant that fully expected you to get out of his way or be stepped on. All was his and anything that even attempted to contest him would be struck down by the wrath of Thunder Tyrant.

Arthaya’s lines of runic script wrapped around the set of armor and pulled it apart. The lines of runic script dragged it towards Kai and fused it into parts of his robes. Parts of his robes became hard with plating and the metal halo crackled with massive amounts of lightning.
Kai turned his attention to the other two parts of the spell. One of the pieces was covered in extra lines of runic script while the other only had a couple. The two pieces flew behind Kai’s back to where his wings were and began to change. They shifted themselves slowly unfurling into a set of skeletal wings made up of lightning. More lightning flowed down the skeletal wings forming feathers made out of electricity.
The runic script covering one of the sets of wings reached out and grabbed onto the death metal wings and pulled the two together. The two pairs of wings slowly merged until they became one. The framework of the wings were made out of the death metal. While the feathers were made of pure lightning. Behind Kai were two sets of wings. One of pure lightning the other a combination of lightning and death metal.
Kai turned his attention to the sky. He bent his knees and jumped behind him, his wings flapped with the boom of thunder. Kai flew off in the direction of the army that was endangering his family.
Every flap of his wings created a boom of thunder. The wind whipped by as Kai flew through the air. Below him the ground was a blur as Kai shot across the sky. Kai channeled mana into his eyes, enhancing his senses and focusing the enhancement on his sight. In the distance Kai saw a massive misshapen cloud of flying creatures.
There was another boom of thunder as Kai flapped his wings shooting forward. As Kai looked at the flying creatures he felt immense revolution, disgust and hatred wheel up within him. There was another boom of thunder as Kai shot forward closing the remaining distance between him and the invading army.
Flying creatures of flesh and bone dove down Kai while releasing shrieks of joy. The moment they got close enough to him to feel his aura their shrieks of joy turn to fear. The creatures tried to turn around but failed as they were blasted apart by bolts of lightning that arced off of Kai’s body as he blasted past them.
Kai looked down at the sprawling mass of people and creatures under him. He looked up at the various types of flying creatures above and around him. In the front of the army were eight large ant-like creatures. In front of their heads were wedge-like objects made out of chitin and bone. Coming out of the wedges was a pair of pincers. Each of the ants seemed to be partially made up of an element. They each had a different element. The elements were blood, fire, lightning, earth, nature, metal, flesh and bone.
Kai’s finger started moving through the air leaving behind lines of light blue mana. In front of Kai a runic circle began to form. As Kai was working on the final spell Arthaya appeared.
Arthaya waved a hand at Kai causing runic lines to form and wrap around the unfinished spell. She turned her attention to the army below. Arrows, spears and spells were shooting up at them. Flying creatures of flesh and bone meddled with various elements were diving down at them. Arthaya let out a snort of derision. She swept her hand through the air causing a chain to shoot out of her sleeve and expand until each link was twice her size. The chain blocked all the incoming projectiles and creatures.
Arthaya gestured again, causing the chain to shrink down and retract back into her sleeve. Arthaya raised her arms. “You have made your challenge and it has been accepted. The tides of fate are rising and only one side can survive by standing atop the corpse of the other. This is your battlefield and you are bound to it until the victor is decided one way or another.” Around the army massive shining silver chains bust out of the ground. They shot up into the and wove together creating a dome above that would let no one out.
Arthaya nodded to herself with satisfaction and disappeared into the medallion.
Kai lifted his finger as he finished up the runic circle. Kai reached out and placed his hand on the stylized throne sitting in the middle of the concentric rings of runes. Kai glanced down at the soldiers below, his eyes burning with furry determination.
Kai opened his mouth and began chanting. “I call out to the firmament and beyond the horizon. I call out to the realm of the sky. I claim the seat of thunder. I claim dominion over the skies. Below me all bow. Thunder throne.” The concentric rings began to spin faster and faster. The circle began to break down as fragments of it shot off into the sky. The fragments flew off into the sky until all that was left was one final circle surrounding the stylized throne. The world went gray as clouds gathered and rain fell. Thunder rumbled and lightning flashed through the clouds. Kai closed his fist around the circle, crushing it. Fragments flew out of Kai’s closed fist and a massive bolt of lightning bigger than a house crashed down and into Kai. Kai stepped out of the bolt of light as it faded, behind him was a throne made of storm gray metal and electric blue gems.
Kai gazed down at the army array before him, his enhanced eye picking out grown men trembling on their feet or collapsing on their knees. With only a few keeping their composer. “Pathetic.” His words were cold and uncaring for the slaughter that was about to take place. “Die.” Kai’s hand closed around the scythe that formed in his hand as chains crawled over his chest and around the scythe's shaft and lightning crashed down from the sky to the ground.

Diomid looked up when he heard the shrieks of the flying flesh constructs. He felt the aura crash down on him before he saw the being it came from. The aura crashed and rumbled with lightning and thunder, with undercurrents of fire and blood, there was the cold silence of death and the clanking of chains. The aura was cruel and unbridled lacking any and all control. It was that of a tyrant ready to crush them underfoot for daring to cross it.
Diomid backed up his mind filled with fear. Then in a crack of thunder it was there. It was clad in loose flowing robes interspersed with hard metal plating. Behind it were two sets of angelic wings, one set was angelic while the other was tyrannical. And behind it was a cracked and crumbling halo.
Diomid’s eyes lingered on the halo as a shiver ran down his back and something clicked into place. Before he had thought that this was not a human but some kind of holy angelic being, yet now he knew better. This was no holy being. Not with the aura of desecration radiating off of that halo. Diomid’s eyes flickered over the being as he felt the off ness of it settle in.
Yes there was a feeling of holiness, but it was marred by desecration, death and tyranny. It felt not as if a holy being and descended from above but it had ascended from below.
A beautiful woman appeared next to the being. She looked at them with disdain before blocking all the incoming attacks and then trapping them in here to be slaughtered.
She disappeared and the being chanted out a spell. “I call out to the firmament and beyond the horizon. I call out to the realm of the sky. I claim the seat of thunder. I claim dominion over the skies. Below me all bow. Thunder throne.” Storm clouds formed and thunder rumbled. A bolt of lightning crashed down onto the being. Not once did Diomid think that it had been killed by the lightning. For how could it when the being ruled over the lightning. Diomid crashed down to his knees when he saw the throne that had appeared behind the being. The throne radiated an absolute and uncontestable control over lightning. When it came to lightning and thunder it was the ultimate arbiter and nothing could contest it.
The world turned white as a bolt of unstoppable power landed on him and Diomid was destroyed in an instant.
