“Arius.. Arius. Arius!”

A servant called out to a young boy who seemed to be about four years old. The young boy had decent clothing with silver hair down to his eyebrows, which his purple eyes complemented. A fierce look that contrasted his young face had pierced through like daggers, causing the servant to shiver.

“Arius, your father and mother will be home soon so get ready to greet them.” The servant said after regaining his composure.

Ever since Leo was reborn in this world as Arius, he noticed that his father did not like him very much. and his mother did take care of him for a bit until his father started beating her. After his mother started getting beat, she started to hate Arius because he was the reason it was happening.

“Also there will be special guests later so don't make your parents look bad.”

The servant then threw a nice black and blue suit on his bed and left shutting the door behind him. Arius looked at the clothes and picked them up. He went over to a mirror in his room and started getting dressed.

‘I wonder who is coming over, that they are making me dress up for?’

Arius wasn't provided with nice clothes since his father and mother did not care for him very much.

As he finished getting dressed he went to his door and opened it to a long hallway stretching to his right and a window to his left that had a view of a garden.

He started walking down the hallway in which maids were cleaning. As he walked down the hallway he started getting attention from the maids. And they all started whispering to each other.

“What's the point in keeping him around?”

“He is an illegitimate child who should not be allowed to live here.”

Arius has heard this plenty of times before from the maids. His mother had an affair at a party one night while she was drunk.

He just ignored the maids as he always did and continued on his way.

Arius made it to the front door of his home and stood there a few seconds before opening it.

When he opened the door he saw another kid standing there who seemed a couple of years older than himself with his back turned toward him. He was also wearing a nice suit like Arius and had black hair and blue eyes.

“Good morning brother,” Arius said.

He just ignored Arius and just kept standing there.

The boy was Arius’s brother whose name was Leif and he treated Arius the same way as his parents.

Arius went over and stood next to him and waited.

After about five minutes a black carriage came through the front gates of the mansion they were at. The carriage came over and stopped in front of the boys.

Leif bowed down toward the carriage and Arius followed after.

The carriage door opened and two people who were dressed like nobles came out, A man and a woman.

“Welcome back mother and father.” both of the boys said.

“Thanks.”

They both walked over to Leif and hugged him. Then his father just looked at Arius before walking inside followed by Leif and his mother.

‘I guess that means I can finally go now.’

After welcoming his parents back he headed to the library in the mansion.

This is Where Arius went when he was allowed outside his room so that he could learn more about the world he is in now.

The library was a huge area that had two floors with books everywhere so it was a good place to learn. He picked up a few books and went to sit down at a table.

As he sat down he thought back to all the information that he had gathered so far.

He was reborn into a world that had magic and monsters. He was born as the son of a marquess. He had a father, a mother, and a brother. His father’s name was Lazar and he was known as a great swordsman in the previous war which was called the sixteen-year war. His mother's name was Elora and she married his father through an arranged marriage. And his brother Leif was born two years earlier than him so he was fourteen.

He resided in the Thurian kingdom and it was one of the three kingdoms on this continent. The other two kingdoms were the Vreniel kingdom and the Traedia kingdom. They were all similar in power so they didn't have much conflict with each other.

After thinking about all the information Arius started thinking of what he was going to do. He thought of all the things that he could do in this world and he finally decided that he would try to learn magic.

“Arius!”

A maid opened the door to the library and called for Arius.

“Yes?”

“The special guest is about to arrive so get up and go to the dining hall.”

Then the maid left the library without waiting for a response from him.

‘I finally get to see who this guest is.’

Arius got up and put his books away before heading to the dining hall. When he made it to the dining hall there was a long table with food at the end of it. The dining hall had lots of decorations including paintings on the walls.

Arius went over and took a seat at one of the seats near the end of the table where the food was. When he sat down the door opened and he saw his brother come in. Leif went over and sat down to the right of Arius.

“Don't say anything disrespectful to the guest, he is someone very important,” Leif said with a stern tone.

“Who is it?”

“You will see who he is when he gets here”

Arius was thinking of who it could be when he saw his parents come in. Behind them was an old man who had grey long hair and a long blue robe. The air around him seemed unusual and made him look like someone who had faced many dangers.
