“Valo.” A white ball of light appeared above the Light Mancer's outstretched hand. The light lit up the dark tunnel, revealing an group of tall humanoids with pointed ears.
“Good job Phyrra, only another couple hundred yards, you have enough MP left for a couple more?” a male elf in gilded armor asked the female mage, she had fire red hair and white robes, she was holding a sword hilt without a blade, but instead a chain dropping from the pommel, ending in an iron cross.
“I have enough MP for a couple more yeah, but I need to meditate so I’m at max before the last one. I don’t wanna waste time during battle popping a mana potion.” the female voice responded, her voice a little raggedy, almost like she was ready to pass out. The chain collar around her neck clanking loudly.
“Okay, just make sure you don’t screw this up. We need those supplies and the position for a trading town.” The male elf retorted to the slave elven woman, his vampiric eyes shone in the light, a dark red that seemed to swallow your soul whole. The Vampire elf looked behind him at his group of other vampires, their goal was simple, start an empire in the name of the Blood Lord. They were well on their way, nearly all of the Southern Elven lands on the continent of Salama. They just required one last town as a trading post between the DragonKin and Vampire kingdoms. Sadly, they had to take out the last known village of Unhumans. Unhumans were a strange variety of Human, elf, and dwarf. Human in body, elven in grace and hearing, dwarven in their ability of craftsmanship.
“Meditate now.” The leader said after a few hundred yards, just before the cave opened up into the side of the village. They had to kill several Kobold guardians who must have been pets to the silver tongued Unhumans, clever as they were Kobold were weak against those of Immortal blood. Settling down the female elf closed her eyes and waited for five long minutes, during which the vampires were completely still, no breathing seemed like a game to them, thus they didn’t breath, as they didn’t need to.

When the elf got back up a blue bar above her head signalled that her MP was full, sighing she set off around the bend, and into the dark town. After arriving in the town square she started chanting a deep and eldritch language, her MP bar slowly falling, along with her HP bar, ever slowly ticking down, her nose began to bleed at one point during her mantra. Suddenly everything was bright, and warm. So very warm. A nearby house had burst into flames, seconds later screams filled the air, a minute later the elf who started the whole mess fell over, dead. Another minute went by and the screams stopped, but everyone that lived in the town was already up and about, grabbing buckets of water and throwing them on the house. Near the cave entrance the vampire crew walked out and began slaying everyone upon sight.
By the time the townsfolk realized what was happening, it was too late. When they armed themselves to fight back, it was pitiful, and no mercy was given. Once the entire town was slaughtered the Vampires returned to the cave and awaited their king.Every vampire reviewed their status and smiled, they had all gained a level. When the sun was rising the vampires were a mile into the cave, sleeping deeply.
Around this time a lonesome child made his way back to hiss home, his home that was now burnt to the ground. The child had escaped the fire, just barely. When the child saw the burnt out corpses of his family, he cried. When the child saw his Father’s sword, he swore vengeance. When the child picked up said sword, he cursed, it was still warm from the fire. By the time the child could pick up the sword it was midday, and he had recovered some supplies from the houses that had not burned down, like food, maps, money, clothes. The child was due to receive his blue screens any minute now, it was his twelfth birthday after all.
The child picking up the sword swore vengeance once again. The child, walked off into the forest surrounding the now dead village of Unhumans. As far as the child knew he was the last remaining UNhuman on the continent. Little did the child know, he was being followed. Followed and lead unknowingly into DragonKin lands, where his Fate would change, for better or worse.
