1 day before the two universes fused.

A young man laying on his bed woke with a start. The alarm clock going off in the background being the only thing calming down his overly alert mind.

His face slowly changing from one of extreme alertness to one of elation! However his handsome face slowly turned calm as he examined himself and his surroundings.

Seeing the time on the alarm clock indicated it was 6:00 am on a sunday only served to heighten his elation, he was barely able to stop the smile that was coming on his face.

Knowing he had a full day until what was to come alowed him to relax somewhat. His name was Jay Grayson, a 23 year old college student living in an apartment. He had crystal like, large blue eyes surrounded by sword like eyebrows and complimented by a straight nose, chiseled jawline, and black and smooth hair.

Jay calmed his mind and started to think about his situation here on out. A day from now a universe will fuse with his own, with this will come the isolation of earth for 1 year in order for its residents to adapt.

Jay new all of this because this has already happened to him. On the day the universes fused he was in his house watching T.V. in the living room, only to be hit on the head by a crystal ball!

When he woke up the crystal ball was gone, he didn't know until later that he took it in. To be able to take in a crystal ball, which is most commonly referred to as a records crystal or R-crystal for short, one has to insert their mana into it. It sounds easy but due to a multitude of factors, with the loss of universal energy being the main one, there is no one who can manipulate it.

However little did Jay know that his talent for such things is incredible, and do to this he has enough energy, which is most commonly referred to as mana, he has mana equal to if not slightly greater to an average person from a mana saturated universe.

So when the crystal ball hit his head. Due to him having no control over his mana and suffering a concussion, his mana went out of control and radiated outwards. This amount of mana is so small that the effects it has on the surroundings is miniscule at best, and because of this it was very doubtful anyone would ever notice.

But thanks to this his mana entered the R-crystal allowing it to fuse with him. Not only was this R-crystal a class type but the class that it contained was most perfectly suited to his current situation. The class he received was the scholarly lord class, sage.

The sage class improved his mental abilities and gave him a few special powers. The most useful one being the inspect skill.

It was an extremely rare skill, of which does who possess it that did not have the sage class can be counted on one's fingers. At its first level it alowed one to read the most superficial of records, but that was more than amazing enough. With this and the mental faculties of a sage and amazing things can take place.

With the sage class he rose through the ranks quickly. Even though the sage class being a scholarly class was supposed to not be suidet to combat, But since it was a lord class normal classes still couldn't compare.

He was not even confined by the universe and once he was powerful enough traveled to others in search of knowledge and power.

One day he was cornered by many powerful existences who were fueled by greed. Seeing there was no way out he used the energy from their all out attacks to cast a massive spell that took him back in time.

The cornerstone of which being the mark of cain that kept him alive for so long. Jay used the its records that pertained to cain's punishment of watching all of mankind and its sins from the moon.

Because earth was the only one with intelligent life, only the records for earth was needed to go back in time.

Now here he was sitting on his bed with the only thing remaining of that time being the mark of cain on his right arm and the knowledge and experience he has gained from the future.
