One dark and stormy night, there were two mice huddled in a tiny burrow.

"None of them survived", wailed the female mouse hystericaly as she looked at her dead family. "Shush", said the male mouse, "There is one that survived". "You mean that one",the female mouse shouted as she pointed at a sickly looking mouse, "That pup is to sick to even survive the night". "No, there is strength in this one", said the male mouse calmly, "he will survive the night, and keep on surviving until he grows old and happy". The male mouse, after finishing what he said, told the female mouse that he would be outside.

The female mouse turned to look at the pup. "I hope you survive, little one, and wish you good luck, for you willneed it". And with that she went outside with the male mouse.

POV cat:

*Oh look two mice just came out of there Hidey-Hole*, thought the cat, * and it looks like the rain is clearing up, so my dinner is all sorted out*. (Sorry if that sounded a bit awkward)

POV female mouse:

*What's that sound*, she turned to look at the male mouse, "do you know what tha- aaaaahhhh", the male mouse was getting eaten alive. She was frozen in shock and couldn't move as the cat turned toward her and pounced.

POV cat:

*That was a good meal*, thought the cat as it went back into it's owner's house.

With no-one to feed it the sick pup died from starvation.
