Chapter two:

A time to rest…. Maybe.

Although the excruciating pain that Thomas was feeling, he managed to get back home. He was the first to arrive, took a shower, the pain in his body started to fade away. Now, he only needed to eat something.

His father probably would stay out until late night; your mother was with his sister, so it was as if Thomas lived alone. He didn´t dislike it, at least he didn´t argue with his father about his old job.

Thomas finished preparing his food. In consideration to his father, he left some food to him too.

Thomas went to your room, ready to rest.

He opened his eyes, and perceived he was in a doctor's office. Thomas was sitting down in a chair across the table; a version of himself was looking at him.

This doctor Thomas looked like a mad scientist. He was wearing a pair of glasses, dark circles was around his eyes, and his hair disheveled, but this version of Thomas had similarities whit the assassin, the most prominent was the wild face.

“Hello, are you the patient Thomas”? The doctor asked fixing your glasses.

“Hm… yeah, I think”.

“Sure, I have your exams here. Muscular pain seems to be your problem, and I know why”.

Was it some other gift of the Watcher? Thomas didn´t knew, but thought it was all a coincidence.

“Your body it´s not appropriate for the techniques that you learned whit the assassin”.

“How do you know that”?

“We are interconnected now; I know a lot about you too, because… well, you are me”.

In fact, that´s make sense.

“So, I can´t fight”?

This will be a problem, Thomas thought. Tatsu was not the only that bullied Thomas at school, he was the tip of the iceberg, and maybe he could try revenge or something against him.

“No, that´s not the case, you can fight. But you will need to train your body first, and rest properly”.

The doctor pulled some papers straightened his glasses.

“You will need to go to the gym, three times a week, and eat protein to strengthen your body; otherwise… you will cause internal damage to yourself”. The doctor Thomas sighed. “In fact, I don´t know why the assassin taught the Fist of the god dragon to you, he is crazy”.

Thomas only listened quiet and agreeing. He hated exercising, but it was better than dying because of internal pain.

“Okay, thank you doctor”.

“You´re welcome… Ah, and one more thing, be careful in the school, Thomas”.

Before Thomas could ask why, he woke up.

Kaori never seen, Yui so interested before. Yui remained quiet all night after Kaori explained what happened in the dojo of the school, Kaori could see the gears on her master´s mind working to create a theory about this strange.

Now, on the way to school, Yui continued to be quiet in the rear set of the car, with a hand on her chin and her violet eyes full of doubt.

“What´s wrong, lady Yui”? Asked Kaori worried.

“I´m just thinking… because the seven Outsiders had already been chosen, but that Thomas could be other”.

Kaori was not an Outsider; she just knew the theory behind it. However, Kaori has already had contact with the other six, and they abilities matched with Thomas.

“It´s really a possibility, but this is bad”?

Yui´s black hair fluttered as she turned her head to gaze the blue eyes of Kaori.

“Maybe, I don´t know. Thomas is well-know at school, because of the aversion that the majority feel for him, now he have a power that classifies him as an Outsider, he defeated an experienced karate fighter, I´m afraid of what the other Outsiders could do for him”.

“They could try to kill him”?

“Worse, they can try to take advantage of him”…

The car stopped in the front of the school. Kaori and Yui went down.

“So, what are you planning to do”? Kaori asked, as she straightened up her mistress's wrinkled uniform.

Yui seemed divided.

“For now, just observe the situation”…

Thomas felt a different atmosphere around his class when he entered, the students who usually would look to him with sarcastic expressions, now seemed to be afraid. Thomas was not an idiot; he imagined that had spread the result of the fight… Tatsu was not in the class…

Well, Thomas didn´t care about any of that, if he could have a peaceful experience at school, it would be fine.

He sat distracted. Thomas was not the best of the students, he got average grades and he saw nothing wrong with that, Saint Michael was an elite school, so classes were difficult.

As soon as the class started, Thomas felt a tightness in his chest, a bad sensation, as if his body started to notice danger, cold sweat started to running down your skin, and he felt watched for someone.

The classes continued, with Thomas feeling the same discomfort. When the lunchtime started, he got up from his chair and went out of the classroom, one thing he didn´t were accustomed to do. He went to a tree to rest a little.

“Hey, how are you”? A female voice echoed suddenly, Thomas looked at the owner of the voice.

The girl had silver long hair and was wearing the school uniform, which fits her a lot. However, what caught the most attention, were his ruby red eye…

She smiled to Thomas.

“Yes”?

“Are you Thomas? I listened to some interesting rumors about you”… She asked, her smile only getting bigger.

“Yeah, I´m Thomas, the social pariah of the school”. Thomas replied closing his eyes again.

He was determined just ignore that girl, but apparently, she was determined to talk to him too.

“So, how did you manage do defeat Tatsu”? She asked.

“Luck”…

“Hm, really? Because the rumors said that you fought whit his gang too”.

Thomas stayed quiet.

“You know Thomas… I know why you spanked Koichi, I don´t think you are a social pariah”.

Thomas widen open his eyes with that declaration, a new sensation arrived on his chest, suddenly the ruby eyes of that strange girl started to look scary.

“What did you just said”? Thomas swallowed hard.

“I said that I know your motivations, I know the truth about you, and I´m very interested in this, by the way, my name is Aurora Shirokami”!

He wondered how such a friendly girl could look so scary. Aurora approached Thomas, pressing him against the tree and getting closer.

“If you continue to use your Outsider ability like that, you will die, I hope you understand that”. Aurora said assuming a serious look. “Not only you don´t are prepared for the extreme techniques that you learned before, as you will continue to draw the attention of other Outsiders for you”…

“Lady Aurora, stay away from him”!

A girl identical to the murderous Kaori appeared before their eyes; however, she had a much more serious look around her.

“Oh, and the pet of Yui arrived here too”. Aurora said playfully, and hugging Thomas. “I will not let you guys use him as you want, go away”.

It was a strange sensation, Thomas could feel the care that Aurora seemed emanate with her hug.

“We are not planning to use him, Lady Aurora”.

Aurora rolled her eyes, it was quite clear that no one would reach a consensus there. Kaori sighed.

“I am telling the truth, you are the suspicious one here. But if you don´t believe me, let´s make a reunion”! Decided Kaori with a serious look in her face. “Yui, you and Thomas”.

“What I´m win with that”?

Kaori opened his mouth to speak, but at the same time, something happened. The atmosphere of the place changed, for something oppressive, a specie of alarm started to ring inside of Thomas, saying that he needed to get away quickly.

“What will you win? Yui will not kill you”. Said Kaori, changing her speech.

And everything suddenly became clear to Thomas, the warning of his medical version, Aurora saying disconnected things and that oppressive presence. His mind made the call, and a sarcastic smile appeared on his face.

It was obvious; Thomas was not the only person graced with the gift the Watcher had given him, there were others.

In addition, for some reason, they looked like they were about to get into a confrontation. Thomas was now, on the middle of that madness.
