CHAPTER 1
ASHOK
Ashok is a short-tempered young man in his early 20s. He's studying engineering in college, but he's always getting into fights. He's strong and fearless, but he's also reckless. Ashok wakes up to the sound of his alarm clock blaring. He hits the snooze button twice before finally getting out of bed. He goes to the kitchen and makes himself breakfast, which consists of a bowl of cereal and a glass of milk.
"I'm so tired," he says to himself. "I didn't get much sleep last night. I was thinking about that fight I got into. I shouldn't have done that. I need to control my temper."
Ashok's friends come over to his apartment later that day. They're all worried about him.
"Are you okay, Ashok?" asks his friend, Priya. "You look like you haven't been sleeping well."

"I'm fine," Ashok says. "Just a little stressed out."
"About what?" asks his friend, Rahul.
"About everything," Ashok says. "School, my future, you know."
"Well, we're here for you, man," says his friend, Sameer. "We'll help you through this."
"Thanks, guys," Ashok says. "I appreciate it."
"No problem," his friends say.
"I know I need to control my temper," Ashok says. "I'm already volunteering at a soup kitchen. It helps me to relieve stress and make a difference in the world."
"That's great, Ashok," Priya says. "Helping others is a great way to relieve stress and make a difference in the world."
"Yeah, I think it's been helping me," Ashok says. "I'm still working on it, but I'm getting better.
We're all proud of you, Ashok," Rahul says. "Keep up the good work."
"Thanks, guys," Ashok says. "I will."
Narrator: Ashok is an ordinary boy who struggles with his temper. But even though he's ordinary, he's still trying to help the people who are in need. And that's what makes him extraordinary.
