CHAPTER FIVE -- Kiyorakana III (end)
[The devil said after a long pause again]
"So the third user was Ragnar von Vanserra, whom I think you already know about. The guy who told you about it was 'Kenji,' right?"
[Shikaku replied with a shaking voice, a saddened, confused, and, most of all, "scared" expression.]
I was barely able to speak at that time, but since Alastor asked, I had to reply. Simply put, in this situation, I was obliged to respond.
"Yes, his name was Kenji indeed."
[The devil spoke in a hasty tone, as if trying to wrap things up.]
"After that, to replicate this legendary blade's power, I, Alastor, an archdemon of Hell, had to reside in this bloodborne weapon."
"Although normally, if a demon resides in a bloodborne weapon, it would be a low-ranking or medium-ranking demon, but never an individual such as myself."
"To replicate Kiyorakana's power, I had to reside in it myself just to uphold the respect for bloodborne weapons—that 'a bloodborne is the strongest kind of weapon.'"
"Even though you are compatible with Pure Fury, you still won't be able to use 100% of its power; somehow, it is simply not accepting you.
Even to wield it, you must have some accessories with you as tokens of acceptance."
"I will grant all of the necessary accessories to you after you leave this dream-like domain that I arranged. I must warn you now that you must NOT tell anyone about this meeting."
"If you do tell anyone, well, let's just say it won't be good."
[Shikaku said with a horrified expression in a hasty tone.]

"Yeah, I shall not tell anyone about this meeting with the archdemon of Hell, Alastor. This meeting with you."
[Alastor snaps his fingers again, marking the end of this meeting with Shikaku.]
[After that meeting, Shikaku's first words, even though terrified from all of these events, were:]
"You lied, Alastor. Your words implied that you were in Pure Fury since the beginning, but in reality, you came after Thaddeus was killed.
I know that since last time this weapon had a completely different feel to it."
[After a slight pause.]
"Kiyorakana has found its new user, hasn't it?"
[Somewhere not very far away from Shikaku, there's a mysterious woman standing still at the very top of the tower on the pinnacle of a seemingly watchtower.]
[She has an emotionless face, wearing a cloak as if hiding her identity, watching from afar as if she is monitoring the situation.]
[She stares at the distant sky, and the words that come out of her mouth are with a confused and surprised expression, in a doubtful tone.]
"Is this what you want, Null?"
[The perspective changes again to Shikaku.]

[Shikaku saw a pair of earrings, both of different shapes—one resembling that of the sun and its rays, and one resembling the shape of a blade—and a pair of golden bracelets.]
[Shikaku put all of the accessories on their respective positions.]
One thing was clear: Alastor did not tell me the whole truth.
After all, he said in the very beginning that he would show me "the memories of all Kiyorakana's users and the beginning of when Thaddeus got Pure Fury,"
but he only told me about the two users, although I already knew about Ragnar.
So let's say three users, but he did not utter a word about how Thaddeus got Pure Fury. This is the first mystery.
The second mystery is that he said my memories have been sealed. I don't get it; why did he say that? What did he mean by I lack 'ideology'?
For now, it would be best to leave both of these mysteries on hold and focus on my deductions. This is my interpretation after this series of events.
One: Kiyorakana has found its new user because Alastor lied. If Pure Fury was as powerful as it is now, I wouldn't have stood a chance.
Pure Fury originally had minor to mid-ranking demons residing in it, but since it was in comparison with Thaddeus's ideology of Kiyorakana,
it just had to convince Thaddeus that it was as strong as Kiyorakana, the weapon his late grandfather wielded.
After all, Ragnar's legends were the only things he could hear or see, and the thing about how he got Pure Fury in Kiyorakana's shape is that he went to see the weapon once.
Although he got rejected, he got the idea of how Kiyorakana looked, and then later he got Pure Fury with some low to medium power in it.
But after Thaddeus died, somewhere around this time, Kiyorakana found its new user. What happened next is something that Alastor stated himself: "It has to be the strongest."
Because I didn't have the slightest idea of how powerful Kiyorakana was, it had to be more powerful than the original.
And because it no longer had the luxury of being like the version Thaddeus had in his mind, it had to be competitive with the real thing.
Now that it had become stronger than the real thing, it also gained a consciousness that rejected me. It seemed like Alastor didn't realize it yet.
[Shikaku soon fell asleep in his cell, tired from the events that occurred.]
