It is a plan that hatched when I researched eternal life out of curiosity. Immortality… the very taboo of life that is desired by so many fools in this world; but alas, they know little to no consequences had they received immortality. The thought of how much of a curse rather than a blessing it is repulsed me from continuing it any further. Instead of completely stopping the research, I came up with an alternative. I brewed a de-aging potion. I have tested the potion on a couple of mice and even some small monsters and the potion indeed worked as well as I had expected, they got physically younger. The subjects that I had tested the potions were visibly aged and soon turned into their younger versions with their prime prowess back as well, although initially, they understandably looked confused about the transformation. It would’ve been perfect if the effect of the potion lasted forever, but unfortunately, the early prototypes of the potion could only hold the young form for minutes, hours at max and they slowly turned back to their original, old forms. Some even perished the moment the process took place due to the abnormally rapid de-aging and growth that their bodies experienced.

Had I wanted to stop this current life of me as what the world calls “The Grand Magus”, an honorary title that I do not wish to be tied with my identity, I’d have to create the perfect de-aging potion which requires outstanding quality of ingredients. I did not look back and used up all of the ingredients that I had in my possession, creating a potion I named "Potion of Youth". I already planned what I wanted to do after I drank the potion. I had always wanted to be a swordsman when I was little, but my natural talent in magic pushed me away from my dreams, even my peers and past friends expected me to become a great magician with little to no interest in listening to my dream... except Valka… It’s a chance for me to live life a second time without regrets, a chance for me to choose new and exciting paths that I have never had the pleasure of adventuring towards.
Farewell, Grand Magus Lento. This will be the last entry of my journal. Becoming you was one of the many regrets I have in life. May you forever be buried, not a single soul will know this journal’s whereabouts. I will finally keep my promise to you, Valka.
