You look up from your book and get up to stretch your legs.
"Err, Librarian?"
"How-"
The Librarian suddenly appeared in front of you without warning.
"Wah!"
"Ahem. How can I help you?"
"Ah, well, I read a few of these stories but don't understand what I'm supposed to learn. I don't even understand everything they're talking about."
"Hmm. Whatever insight you gain must be through your efforts. Might I suggest a break? You can change your surroundings however you desire."

"No, I'm okay. Though I guess I could use a lemonade."
A glass of iced lemonade and a coffee table appear next to you.
"Wow"
"A bit too sweet, but I can see the appeal."
You turn back to the Librarian, who is holding a glass of lemonade. He takes another sip.
"Ah, that's better. The perfect balance of sweet and bitter. Mortals really do know how to enjoy life."
"Uh yeah, I suppose."
"I must get back to work; if you need anything, simply wish for it, and it will appear."
You look down at your clothing and the coffee table.
"A large bowl of extra salty peanuts."
The bowl of peanuts appears on the table.
"Switch my clothes for pajamas."
Your clothes vanish in exchange for your favorite pair of pajamas; however, they're more comfortable than ever.
"Wow. I could get used to this."
You take a quick break and find that the lemonade and peanuts never run out. You never grow too full or uncomfortable, but you know you can't let this go on forever, and you get comfortable on the couch and continue reading.
