As the world seemed to be eating me, I felt myself slowly disintegrate screaming in horror as I fought to try to stave off another death. But my tries were futile as I slowly lost myself to the black abyss.

* 15 min Later Chapel of Anticipation –

‘Wake up! Oh, Johnny boy the pipes are calling’ sings Bob in his Boredom as I slowly come back to myself. “What happened” I said to myself ‘Nothing much really just us getting eaten by a world and ending up wherever we are’ replies Bob in his oh so helpful way. Getting up I start to take in my surroundings, seeing the place around me reminds me of a small and decrepit Chapel seeing nothing of use, I walk through the open doors seeing if I can find anything helpful of any kind. Walking out I see more of the same in every corner I see, seems worn out and aged to the point of decay finding nothing around I make my way forward to what seems like a gate.

Passing through this gate I come to a complete stop to take in this breath-taking view as I make my way down the middle, I suddenly hear something slam behind me. With my hair standing on edge, I slowly turn around to come “Face to Face” with an abomination, seeming like its body is just an amalgamation of human bodies sown together just leaving one singular human head to control this monstrosity. Before I can come out of my horrified state the monstrosity plunged both its swords hilt deep into my gut, crying out in pain and confusion I try my best to try and push myself off its blade, screaming in pain “why the hell is this happening to me, I’ve done nothing…” gripping the blade edge with both hands trying to unimpale myself. The monster then slings me off with full force causing my body to crash to the ground sliding onto the edge of the platform. ‘Seems this isn’t going to be pleasant john’ says Bob, “you’re right I rather go out my way” I say as a see this monster scuttle towards me I roll myself off the edge and into the dark cold sea bellow.

* 30 mins later a few miles West of the First step – West Limgrave

Merchant Pov:

Today I decided to fish to eases the hunger of the past few days since these Giant land octopuses give me time to idly rest. After a few minutes of waiting, I feel a tug on my line, and I pull with my surprise something unexpected was hooked “A tarnished now what a surprise.”

Mc Pov:

Coming to my sense I feel a heat source to my right, “Finally awake I see” says an unknown man

“Who the hell are you” I ask brazenly from pure shock of being alive. “My name is of no importance Tarnished just know that I have saved you from what was going to be your death” he replies calmly.

‘Now he’s gonna want something from ya I bet’ replies Bob, “but I did not save you for free tarnished I saved you to ask for your assistance, just over yonder there is a cave with a location I need to gather information from and I would like to ask for your assistance to clear it, worry not as I see you are on dire time I will lend you some of my ware but you must pay for it since nothing is free.” ‘Knew it I should have betted money’ says Bob smugly, “sure, sure but can I ask why your calling me Tarnished my name is john” I say knowing full well I’m getting scammed but I’m literally in only some britches (Yes I call them Britches makes me feel sophisticated.) “Thank you Tar- excuse me John for your assistance and the reason I call you Tarnish for that is what you are someone who is dead yet live” says the merchant in an amused tone never seeing such a naïve and weak tarnished. As the merchant is saying this he walks up the mount and gets a short bow and 2 bundle of 24 arrows in each “Here this is for your help but remember I still need payment for these things” he says while passing me the equipment. As soon as I touch it a prompt open up saying,

‘Sweet so I got an understanding system hu’ thought John so doing the first thing someone who finds they have a system would do he thought status and what came up brought to another bout of depression.

Now with more knowledge than before and a nice new weapon John decided to start his mission, he walks towards the direction of the cave the merchant spoke of. A few feet away from the cave their seems to be a few figures with silhouettes in shapes similar to humans thinking they might help him with his task he called out “Hey guys can you help me” I say loudly, jogging slowly towards them till I hears a scream, slowly realizing I might have mess up all I hear is Bob screaming ‘get ready you might have to kill some shit’ hearing that I start to fumble for my short bow thankfully it was just hung on my right shoulder as soon as I got it off I saw a thing that resembles a monkey come after me with a club, acting without thinking I punch with my right hand hitting the creature in the face it fumbled back, but before it got its balance back I grabbed an arrow and ran towards it and slammed the arrow head repeatedly on its face. Noticing as every time I hits its face its hot blood flings towards my body as I rapidly mutilate its face, while in my state of extreme fear I didn’t notice as another one of the creatures ran towards me until its club was in my face. Falling backwards clutching my face a begin to crawl back, as I do this I see the face of this creature as I see amusement and pleasure in its eyes, soon I hear two more of those cries hearing this the creature turns its head up to yelling seeing this I rapidly turn around and try to run but my actions didn’t go unnoticed as quickly as I got up and started running so was this thing.
