possessed

We listened intently, secretly amazed. We wondered, is Niu Er truly fearless, or is he just reckless? While others would avoid the yellow-skins, he insisted on provoking them to show off his skills. Is he a hero or a fool?

Uncle Qi continued speaking, puffing on his cigarette.

Niu Er enjoyed being idolized by others. One day, a beautiful woman came looking for him. She was a stranger, obviously not from our village, but she was stunning, especially her captivating eyes. Niu Er, a fool to such beauty, had never seen such a woman before. He was quickly enchanted and fell deeply in love.

Since the arrival of this beautiful woman, Niu Er rarely left his home, keeping the door tightly shut, spending his days in passionate embrace with her.

After some time, Niu Er's neighbors began to feel uneasy. They hadn't heard from him for days and hadn't seen the beautiful woman either. Niu Er's house was eerily quiet, unusually so.

One neighbor pretended to bring pork to Niu Er's house to see what was going on. But after knocking for a while with no response, the neighbor became suspicious. If Niu Er was at home, why didn't he answer the door? What was he hiding inside?

Leaving the pork on the wall, the neighbor called out to Niu Er's house before going back to work in the fields. When the neighbor returned in the evening, they found the pork had disappeared from the wall.

The neighbor became even more suspicious. Niu Er must have taken the pork, proving he was indeed at home. But why didn't he open the door? What was he doing inside so secretly?

The neighbor decided to leave a pig's head on the wall the next morning and call out to Niu Er again. Then, instead of leaving, the neighbor hid beneath their own wall, quietly observing.

The neighbor planned to confront Niu Er when he came to take the meat. But what they witnessed next left them stunned.

In broad daylight, Niu Er emerged, dressed in a long robe, tightly wrapped with a big straw hat covering his head. He moved cautiously along the wall, constantly looking around, as if afraid of being seen.

Seeing Niu Er's strange behavior, the neighbor was surprised and confused. What was Niu Er up to?

Niu Er reached the wall and reached for the pork. Just as the neighbor was about to reveal themselves, they saw something shocking: Niu Er started eating the raw meat greedily, enjoying it with relish, his hands covered in oil.

Disgusted by Niu Er's behavior, the neighbor couldn't believe what they were seeing. Even if he was hungry, was eating raw meat necessary? Cooking it wouldn't take long. What was Niu Er thinking?

Unable to contain their curiosity, the neighbor climbed onto the wall and shouted at Niu Er. Startled, Niu Er dropped the meat and hurried back into the house, leaving the neighbor perplexed.

The neighbor caught up and swung a brick at Niu Er, knocking his straw hat to the ground.

Niu Er turned around, glaring fiercely at the neighbor.

The neighbor froze upon seeing Niu Er. The person before them was Niu Er, yet not quite Niu Er.

Why say so?

From the facial features, this person was indeed Niu Er, but for some unknown reason, his face was covered in yellow fur, hardly resembling a human. Bloodstains from the pork were smeared around his lips, making his appearance even more sinister, like a wild beast.

Not only his face, but Niu Er's entire body was covered in strange yellow fur, his eyes gleaming with malice.

After a few silent seconds, the neighbor let out a terrified scream and ran out of the yard.

Even the bravest soul, upon seeing Niu Er in his current state, would be terrified.

News of Niu Er's transformation into a monster quickly spread throughout the village.

The village elders went to Niu Er's house and found him alone, the beautiful woman nowhere to be seen.

The atmosphere inside the house was eerie. Niu Er, wearing a woman's red bra, with painted nails, was leisurely nibbling on the remaining raw pork.

Some people, upon seeing this scene, were so disgusted they vomited.

Niu Er, originally a sturdy man, now dressed as a woman, appeared extremely eerie.

One of the elders, somewhat experienced, pointed at Niu Er and scolded, "Who are you, demon? Dare you show yourself?"

Niu Er smirked mysteriously. When he spoke, everyone was startled because his voice had turned into a high-pitched, feminine tone.

"Niu Er killed my entire family, hands dripping with blood. Tell me, should such a person live or die?"

As Niu Er spoke, beneath his fur-covered face, a strange animal visage faintly emerged. Some could discern it clearly—it was the face of a yellow-skin.

The elder, realizing the gravity of the situation, panicked. Niu Er was likely possessed, inhabited by the spirit of the yellow-skin. When Niu Er killed that group of yellow-skins before, it was undoubtedly their revenge.

The elder tried to reason with the yellow-skin, asking if it could spare Niu Er.

The yellow-skin retorted, "If he killed your whole family, would you spare him?"

The elder was momentarily at a loss for words. At that moment, they saw Niu Er stand up and retrieve a sharp kitchen knife from the stove.

Afraid of Niu Er hurting someone, the elder immediately ordered everyone to stay back.

Niu Er extended his left hand onto the table, wielding the knife in his right hand. Without batting an eye, he swiftly chopped off one of his own fingers.

Blood sprayed out, but Niu Er seemed unfazed, a sinister smile lingering on his lips.

Next, Niu Er continued chopping off his own fingers as if possessed, chanting, "One, two, three..."

Blood splattered across his face, yet he continued chopping, emitting eerie giggles.

The gruesome sight left the villagers petrified, some even cried out in fear.
