The bullet Whizzed past my left shoulder as I kept on laughing, the ax swaying in my arm as I cackled.
"You should be dead!" the man shrieked, his eyes filled with terror as he scrambled to get away from me, tripping in the process.
"Let's say I have experience..." I chuckled as I quickened my pace to catch up to the terrified man.
"Come now," A wicked grin spread onto my face as I hoisted the ax onto my shoulder and advanced towards the terrified man. "We've been at this game of cat and mouse for over…." I glanced at my watch. "Two glorious hours." my shadow twisting into something sinister.
"Why are you doing this? I'll give you money, fame, anything!" the man was now babbling hysterically," Just let me go!"
I merely smiled as I took off my jacket before gently setting it to the side as I picked up the ax again.
"You prey on the weak; take advantage of them." I hissed, now bending down to look the man in the eyes. "You use youngsters for your twisted schemes."
"It's just not right." I hissed as I yanked the man from the floor by the collar, rage seeping through my being.
"Who are you?" his voice had now come to a whisper of terror, yet I heard him.
"Well, my dear friend," I began to explain as I dropped him and leaned on my ax. "I go by many names. Some view me as a savior, others a monster," I grinned psychotically as I continued, "Yet I'm most known as a simple radio host." I smiled innocently.
The man then began to scream, at which I sighed in annoyance before bringing the ax above my head. "We can't have any of that now; someone might hear you." I grinned wickedly, my crimson orbs glistening in the moonlight, a faint breeze blowing my brownish locks.
And then I brought the ax down with a gleeful smash.
I sighed as I finished my work, blood splattered everywhere, a good smile on my face; I wiped my mouth with a now blood-soaked cloth, scowling briefly at the blood on my shirt.
Sighing, I put my jacket on and picked the ax up. I walked back into the foggy streets, humming.
"And that wraps up tonight's musical selection, ladies and gentlemen.
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
A word of warning does stay safe in the streets. Rumor has it that our local serial killer is back. Have a pleasant night, and stay tuned. You never know when there might be something new. Goodnight, dear listeners."
Turning to the radio station and On-Air sign-off, I smiled as I took off my shirt, wondering how I would clean all this blood.
TRIGGER WARNING- MENTION OF SA; YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

I stretched my hand, trying to reach the knife I had hidden while I was held down.
"Now, why do you struggle to love? You know it's pointless." The grip on my wrists tightened as I scowled at the figure hovering above me.
Glaring, I tried to twist my body away, but Gabriel's grip tightened.
"Now, love, don't try to escape; you know the consequences." His eyes lit up with an evil glint; I froze, trying to think of a strategy to get out of my current predicament.
A sharp knock interrupted him, a scowl covering his face as he got up to open the door; I struggled to slip the knife up my sleeve.
After I had gotten dressed, he motioned for me to follow him, and I reluctantly followed.
I walked beside him as we walked down the corridor, cells ran along each side of the walls, and muffled whimpers echoed throughout the walls.
Walking past the cages, I held my head high, internal disgust growing at the state of the girls in the cells, knowing that I was in the same situation a few months ago.
Shuddering, I halted beside him as he focused on one of the cells. The girl inside seemed about 13, with dirty blond hair and dull green eyes as she glared at him; I cast her a glance of pity, knowing what was about to happen.
Two guards appeared beside us; I hastily took a few steps back as I watched them enter her cell; they grabbed her, shackled her as she screamed, and thrashed around her; the guards yanked the chains up, leaving the girl dangling in the air.
I reached for my knife, hesitating, knowing I was outnumbered vastly; I slipped it back into its spot as I watched with a blank numb stare. The guards had their way with her first that was usually the policy, the way the guards stayed employed.
She wasn't in such a bad condition compared to others I'd seen after they were finished; I had almost thrown up my dinner after witnessing that; it never got easier seeing this. The guards then proceeded to drag her out of her cell; the girl still had fight left inside her as she thrashed around again and managed to bite one of the guards, which earned the poor girl a harsh slap.
He motioned to the room I had been in with him previously, and the guards began to drag her away, her screams and protests echoing down the halls.

"Is this necessary?" I lifted my cuffed hands and gestured to his guards standing on either side of me.
"You do want your freedom, correct?" Gabriel sneered.
I merely nodded, futility attempting to remove the handcuffs around my wrists.
He placed a file in front of me and opened it.
I stared blankly at the file, trying not to react, trying to keep a blank face at the information in front of me.
"So, will you accept the offer?"
I shook my head/
"Last chance Mori." Gabriel cooed.
I merely stared back at him blankly.
"Gentlemen," He gestured to the men beside me. "Do with her as you please," my eyes widened in terror, struggling as they grabbed me and turned to drag me out of the room.
"Oh, and do try to leave her intact; she might reconsider my offer." He mused absentmindedly, and I thrashed around, trying to escape their grip as they dragged me away.
