The is an RPG book. You will see some tables or boxes will reading the book. The boxes are either the system telling The Consulting detective something or his statistics that he is checking or profiles of victims or suspects that he can check. Only he can see the boxes, and it is like a mini game where he can level up or down depending on what he does.

This is an example of how the box could look.
Explanation of characteristics:
It displays the four main beneficial characteristics of Alexander. The denominator (larger number) shows the maximum that Alexander can be at. The numerator shows the number that Alexander is currently at. The middle of the denominator is where Alexander would be working out just naturally if he wasn't doing anything. It works as a sliding scale meaning that Alexander could use it to check how well he is doing.
For example if Alexander's intelligence is at 50/100, that means he isn't using that characteristic much, he is resting, it is his normal number. If it goes up to 85/100, at that moment he is displaying a lot of intelligence. If it goes down to 1/100 Alexander is being incredibly buffoon like and he needs to head to the local school because goodness knows how he is functioning in society.
Explanation of Experience points, clue points and stat points:
So the highest that Experience points can ever be is 500. Completing missions gives Alexander experience points. When his experience points reach 500/500, it automatically gets converted to 1 stat point and his experience points go back down to 0/500. In the beginning of the book, 1 Stat point can be converted into 1 clue if Alexander needs it. He can also use his free stat points to rack up clues straight away if a flash sale comes by.
If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
Clues, or free stat points can also be given as rewards for completing missions.
Free stat points can also be given to a characteristic. So 1 stat point can increase the denominator of a characteristic by 1 so that Alexander's maximum increases in that attribute and his average also increases.
