I don't remember where I was born, I can't remember how long I have wandered or the circumstances around my birth, and I don't even have a name to call myself.
As I walk along the deserted road passing vehicles I wonder when it will be time to move on. I see the skyscrapers to my left and right, with not a single sign of life. Dust blows across the ground as the buildings stand empty around me, and I see a speck moving against the sky where the last vestiges of intelligent life make their way off the planet in their search for a new home.
I walk for awhile among the ruins and find an abandoned mansion to spend the night. After entering the mansion I find a bag of chips and a bed and wait until it is time to move on. And a few hours later I see it, the light around me begins to increase and I feel a buring pain on my skin and within my body. I relish the feeling that I rarely get and stand up to look out the window. I see a massive ball of light slowly expanding on the horizon and the sun begins its end.
Then nothing...
By the time I am aware again I have already found myself floating in space, no sign of anything but stars in the distance. I spend a few days floating among the stars, and take naps while enjoying lack of gravity. Then I look inside myself and see the energy running through my body, the last memento from my previous stop. I gather the pieces of light into the sigil on my left hand and slowly pull it across the space in front of me while releasing the energy. As I do so I observe a shimmering in front of me, and space is torn open as though cut by a knife, leaving a 6 foot long tear.
Within the tear there is nothing but darkness and as I look at it I already see the edges starting to close themselves. I slowly drift into the tear and brush the back of my hand against the edge. As I watch the skin on my hand comes off and blood begins to float around me. Then the area of muscle begins to regenerate and a few seconds later it looks like nothing happened. I fall into a daze as everything around me turns dark.
After a period of time I see a light in the darkness, and I prepare myself for whatever comes after. As I pass into the light I feel gravity once again take it's hold on me and I fall towards the grass a couple feet below me. I land on my feet and as I look around I see that I have landed in a clearing in an ancient forest. I ponder the direction to go, but before I can decide I see a large shadow emerge from the undergrowth. It lookslike a massive lion with green fur and tiger stripes, almost 15 feet long.

It slowly walks towards me and eyes me as though I am prey. I think to myself if this world has any intelligent life, or will I have to remain bored for awhile. Then the lion suddenly pounces. It dashes around me and claws at my side while reaching it's fangs towards my throat. I passively watch it as it's razor sharp claws sink into my hip and shatters the bone, then as it's fangs wrap around my throat I whip up my hands and dig them into the lion's large eyes. The lion roars in agony as it drops me and pulls away, only for it's eyes to come with me as I hold on. Once I land on the ground I jump towards the roaring lion and tear at it's nose while shoving my leg into it's throat. It begins struggling and tryies to shake me off and hits me with it's massive paws, but i simply pull myself up towards its bleeding eye sockets. It's paw and claws continue hitting me, breaking bones and ripping apart my lower body, but I just thank it for getting rid of some extra weight. I then reach into its eye and wrap my hands around the bones in its eye, In the process some of my fingers break, but i ignore it and shove my hand through the eye socket towards its brain, then I start moving my arm and hand around as more and more liquid come out of the eye socket. As I do this the lion's struggles slowly get less and less and it eventually collapses onto the ground.
I fall off of it's head and lay on the ground panting heavily as I stare at the sky. I drag myself over to the lion and tear at it's skin until I reach it's ribs, I dig under then and pull out it's heart, Then I begin to devour it and feel it's energy course through me. By the time half of it is gone I can already see my legs visibly growing back, and my bones readjusiting into their proper places. I feel like ants are crawling underneath my skin, but ignore it and finish eating the heart. As I lay there and wait for the feeling to end I stare up into the darkening sky and see one moon after another slowly fade into view until there are seven across the sky.
Then I wonder what this world will be like and if I'll be able to feel something from wandering it.
*This is my first novel, please let me know if you have any advice or suggestions, and if you think I should try to continue this story. I've always wanted someone to make something like this so I decided to do it myself, its simply the wandering of an immortal.
