“What is the most important concept in this world?”
“What?” I ask.
“It’s power, no matter what shape or form.”

What is power? Is it the magic in cultivation? Is it the ability to deceive and destroy? Is it intimidation for self-protection? Is it the ability to love oneself and forgive everyone else? I didn’t understand.
My name is Jayden Luo, and I am the heir to the Luo Clan. I live in the Lower world, the first of the 10 dimensions. Throughout all the races, our race is considered to be the most versatile. However, we start out as weak as humans. One can ascend to higher dimensions by becoming stronger.
With enough talent, even humans can become top tier cultivators.

I haven’t awakened yet. My race, the Demigods (we aren’t actually related to gods, but are called that because of our mix of supernatural powers) usually awaken on their 10th birthday. Genius demigods usually awaken earlier, at 8 or 9 years old.
The lands of the lower world are split into:
Earth – Where humans reside. Many Light Faction Immortals also live here to protect humans from monster tribes.
The King’s Republic – Home to us Demigods, extremely dangerous on the countryside, home to legendary beasts and powerful rouge cultivators. The King’s Republic, like Earth, is split between countries and states. I live in a state named Behemoth.

Immortal Province – Home to the Light Faction Immortals. In my opinion, these guys are a little snobby and think they’re better then every other race.
Demonic Province – Home to the Dark Faction Demons. Evil and wicked in nature, unable to control their lust for blood.
Heaven Province – The land of Gods. The gods decide who gets to go to the upper dimensions, and who gets to stay in the lower world until eventual death. The gods don’t always get along with each other. No one can ever reach the land of the gods, unless a god invites them in.
Mystical Province – Home to the Mystical Revolution Sect, said to be the strongest sect in the lower world, where strength is the only thing that matters. Home to rare species like Fairies and Elves, which are very high talent and usually very strong.
There are secret hidden islands which are said to bring great fortune and boost one’s aptitude by a million. However, I think they are just myths.
What’s weird to me is how similar Demigods, Demons, Immortals, Fairies, Elves, and so many other races look like a version of humans. Us demigods look exactly like humans, almost like we evolved from them…
In every province (even on earth, the human province), there are academies which train cadets to become cultivators. We constantly compete to become stronger, better fighters.
The academies are split into K-5 Elementary, 6-8 Middle, and 9-20 are High school. From there, cultivators can either join a sect or continue with college.
Clans are like family trees, think of clans like a royal family. The main branch of the family tree is the one in charge, and this includes direct family members and most cousins. Main family trees are often very strong, while Branch family trees often support the main family tree, making the overall clan stronger. The more branches a clan has, the more powerful they are regarded as.
The cadet/child hierarchy is: Branch member (70% of members), House member (20%), Genius of the clan (Special talents vary from clan to clan), Prince (4%), Heir.
The cultivator/adult hierarchy is: Branch Elder (75%), House Elder (20%), Monarch (4%, the leaders close advisors, usually powerful in cultivation), Leader.
The magic of cultivation is called Qi. Shen (Positive) is Qi used by the Light faction, as well as humans and demigods. Chi (Negative) is QI used by the Dark faction, and by dark cultivators who failed tribulations.
