It's been a couple weeks since I posted my last chapter, and I wanted to explain why. I came down with a cold or something the other week and didn't have the energy to write, which ended up kind of bumping me out of my weekly writing schedule. The initial momentum of the newness of writing like this has thinned a bit, and I was starting to feel a bit like I just gave myself a weekly writing assignment like in college, which I had a bad habit of procrastinating on. That is not to say I've stopped writing nor lost my interest, but my pace has slowed down. Part of the issue is that five pages (the general length of my chapters on the google doc I write them) is kind of a lot. I am putting a poll below about the two ideas I have about what to do. One idea is that I break the chapters into chunks, which means writing each chunk is less to do. I think that will make it easier to get to each week. The other idea is for me to post chapters at the same length whenever I finish them, which will be further apart (probably not proportionately so, procrastination is weird like that). If anyone has any other ideas, I'd love to hear them as well. I'm still enjoying writing, and I have large chunks of the story storyboarded out for quite a while to come, so this isn't a question of if I'll keep writing, just the pace at which I do. Thanks to all of you that are reading regularly, it's really encouraging to see the number of people following the story slowly ticking upwards!
