First Encounter

Leia, after she reads the note, jumps out of bed; she frantically starts searching to know what day it is, as she is in disbelief that she slept for two entire days. She looks like an attractive homeless person looking for a calendar, but the calendar located in her fridge does not update itself.

Leia takes a quick shower, washing the essential parts and relying on her odor to mask any smells. She puts on her wrinkly dress. She looks at the mirror and puts the wig on to mask the horrible state of her hair.

Leia leaves her room and runs down the stairs. She sees the receptionist talking to another customer. Leia looks around the entire receptionist room to try and find a calendar. She doesn't find anything and sees the customer leave.

She anxiously walks up to the receptionist in a strong tone and asks, “Excuse me, what day is it?”

“...”

The receptionist looks at Leia as if she is a lunatic. He blinks at Leia before sighing. He rolled his chair to the calendar on the left side of his office. He starts looking at the calendar; he finds the date and again lets out a sigh. He rolls his dumb chair back to Leia.

“Today is the thirty-first of the third month.”

“...”

Huh? How did I sleep for two days?! Leia stays still, shocked by her sleeping for two entire days. The thoughts of how unprepared she is start creeping in.

Am I strong enough to defeat them? Is this the end of me? Was this part of his job? Leia takes a deep breath, and then she suddenly runs out of the motel. She gets beamed by the bright sun.

Leia looks around to try and find the perpetrator, she looks at all sides, from left to right to even up and down and there is nothing but people going to their jobs or just living their normal lives.

Leia starts massaging her eyes with her right hand; she opens her eyes to see a note on her left hand. She trembles and looks at it.

I told you I won’t lose. We will meet somewhere where no one will hear you beg for mercy and will help a piece of filth like you. We will meet in the far east of the mountain arch. Once you get there, another note will appear to give you more directions. Also, don’t worry; there will only be me, as I am a just individual.

This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.

Leia reads this note and starts biting her nails. She is getting more and more scared about the strength of this individual. She is still in shock about how they managed to stick a note on her left hand as she neither felt it nor sensed someone's presence close to her.

Leia starts walking to the nearest carriage station to order a carriage to take her to the mountain.

She walks for about ten minutes to the station. She looks at the different carriages and walks up to the person who owns the carriage where she wants to ride.

The carriage looks rather simple with a simple wooden cart and well-kept wheels. The horse is being washed, making it look very healthy.

“Excuse me, how much for you to take me to Mountain Arch?”

“Oh, hello. Um… Mountain Arch is far away, so it will be about five stars,” the man says without even looking at Leia and continues washing his horse.

That is almost all of my money. Leia takes out the pouch that holds all her money and takes out twenty-five golden coins. She extends her hands to where the man will see it.

The man looks up to see Leia looking rather mad at this entire situation. He gives a small grin showing one of his missing teeth. He takes the money and pets his horse as if giving it a warning that it will be a long journey.

The man gets everything ready while Leia enters the carriage. The inside is very simplistic yet is of Leia’s liking.

Leia waits for about ten minutes before the carriage is ready to get going.

She decides to cover the windows to try and think of a strategy on how to defeat them.

Throughout the journey, there were many rough spots where she felt the carriage jump from the imbalances in the ground.

The journey took about five hours; Leia felt the carriage stop, and the man got off her seat.

He gets down and opens the door to Leia; before saying anything, Leia jumps out and starts running to find the next clue.

Leia goes into the dense forest in the mountain trying to find a clue that will lead her to find the person.

She sees an awkward-looking tree in the center of an empty space; the space is illuminated by the sunset. Leia gets close while having her guard up to prevent any sneak attacks.

She reaches the tree and touches it to confirm any clues. After touching it, the tree opens up, revealing a stone talking about how everyone is destined to die. Leia pays no attention to it as she feels like a rebellious teenager wrote this.

She suddenly hears someone getting closer to her. She gets her guard up. In the trees, a hooded figure appears.

The hooded figure gets closer and takes off his hood to reveal himself.

Leia is in shock to see a man whose age looks no older than twenty-five, his blond hair nicely styled with a middle part. His blue eyes screamed for vengeance.

“First time meeting you, Leia. I would prefer it if you take that wig off and show the monster that is hiding.”

Leia, looking annoyed, takes off her wig and contacts, throwing them to the side and exposing her luscious crimson hair. She, still tense, decides to question the mysterious man.

“Isn't it polite to present yourself to someone? I want to know your name as you know mine.”

The man gives a small chuckle. “My name is Hugo.”
