The sky glowed grey, indicating the coming dawn, as a small group of men and women waited outside of a small village.
Inside of the village men and women were stirring, still groggy from the past nights sleep, and were just now getting ready for the proceeding of the long day ahead of them. They were completely unsuspecting of the danger that was looming beyond their small town.
From the assembled soldiers outside of the village, one woman stepped forward, her wings spread, as she drew a sword of light, which dimly lit up the plains before the group.
She glanced towards her commander and waited for his signal to begin.
Irla : "Unitox, we are undetected as of now, you need but give the order and your conquest shall begin."
Lance : "Kill only those who fight back, and surround the village first, we don't want to let them flee."
Irla thrust her sword into the ground between them, knelt down in her thin dress, and put her hands on the sword.
Irla : "By your command Unitox. Tyndareus you may advance for the glory of your lord."
A Spartan male, presumably their leader due to his dark red armor, which was different from the rest, stepped forward. He passed the orders on to the kneeling soldiers while the women took up bows and arrows and surrounded the village.
Tyndareus marched with four other Spartans and Irla towards the village whilst the others spread out to aide the supporting archers.
Currently there were ten spartan females and five spartan males surrounding the village while five spartan males, Lance and Irla were walking towards it.
They walked straight into the village, and towards the largest house.
A shout rang out in the city, as people ran out of their homes, rudimentary weapons in hand, a stone axe here, a shovel there, a pitchfork over there, but only half of the males had these pitiful weapons while the other half simply shielded their families with their bodies.
A gnarled old man emerged from the largest house, leading an old wife behind him. He walked towards Tyndareus, seemingly not noticing Lance or Irla.
Old Man : "May I ask what you are doing here soldier?"
Tyndareus : "I have been sent by my god to conquer you. Do not resist your enslavement and it shall be painless and we shall treat you well. Those who resist shall die. Those who convert wholeheartedly shall be given a place among us. We have your village surrounded with fine warriors and archers, no matter which decision you make you are coming with us or dying. The choice is yours."
At his words gasps and a few tidbits of snickers laughter could be heard around the now assembled group of villagers. If someone were to count them, there were nineteen males seventeen females and thirteen children
The old man turned around, glancing around him. He gestured towards the crowd and a man came forward.
Man : "My father is old, has he heard you correctly? You give us three options? Death Enslavement or Conversion? What makes you think we will be so compliant to your demands?"
Tyndareus : "You don't have to be compliant, just make a choice, resist or don't. It only tells me who to kill."
The man, who was identified as the village elder's son, charged Tyndareus. A rather pitiful display of vanity, as Tyndareus was equipped in full armor with actual weapons while the man had only a pitchfork.
Towards the man's all out charge Tyndareus merely swatted to the side with his sword, knocking the charging man off course, and then instantly cut off his head in one clean stroke.

Tyndareus : " 'All who resist shall die.' Our God's words... Any more fools among you?"
At those words a few of the people started to kneel on the ground.
While this was happening, Lance turned towards Irla
Lance : " For the death of the man the points were instant, now that they are enslaved why haven't I received points?"
Irla : "Unitox, the enslavement requires a collar of obedience to be fully registered. They cost one point each and are permanent. If removed then the one whom the collar is attached to shall die, that is, unless you have fully converted the person to your culture. Once a slave has been converted the collar may be removed officially to make that person a citizen. That will give the extra conversion bonus."
At that point Lance searched the "store" for the collar of obedience, and after having found what he was looking for he selected two of them.
Two collars materialized at his feet out of bright blue energy. They were black leather collars, very simple looking things. Irla picked them up, brushing lance with her soft wing tip, and then handed them to Tyndareus. He took them, then turned back towards the assembled villagers.
Tyndareus : "Shall I assume that you choose to be slaves instead of dieing a dogs death? Good, you... step forward.."
Tyndareus pointed at the village elder to come forward. He sighed, tears in his eyes towards his dead son, but upon looking around and glancing behind him at his wife, he stepped forward quietly. Tyndareus leaned towards him and hooked the collar around his neck, creating a bright light in the early morning gloom. The collar retracted to his exact size and then turned metallic, going from black leather to a shiny black ring which was locked around the mans neck.

After a few more minutes of putting slave collars on people, the entire village had been enslaved. Tyndareus ordered the new additions to Lance's empire to march towards his city and away from the village after gathering anything useful from the buildings.
Lance ended the expedition with 198 more points then he started with, and almost fifty new slaves to aid his empires growth.
Irla : "Has this conquest please the Unitox?"
Lance : "Yes it has, but I am surprised at how easy this was, I mean, we only had to kill one person and then everyone submitted."
Irla nodded, giving a heartwarming smile to Lance, but it was still devoid of emotion, simply movements of her face with no emotion behind it.
Irla : "Yes, the Spartan's have a certain intimidation bonus, allowing them to capture towns and cities more efficiently. If need be they can still slaughter but their peerless skills allow them show only a small demonstration of overwhelming strength and most adversaries will submit."
Lance : "I am also slightly angry that you didn't gain any combat experience. I was planning on seeing how strong you are in comparison to normal soldiers but I guess that will not happen for a while..."
Irla grabbed his arm, lifting him into the sky with her wings.
Irla : "I have detected an enemy presence in our vicinity, if you so wish I can go out and eliminate it for combat experience."
Lance : "Ya, lets do that..."
