Eva wore a blue sapphire dress and looked extremely breathtaking with her golden angelic hair that flowed behind her back like a waterfall. She was the epitome of beauty.

“Don’t listen to your father darling, you are my most adorable baby and also the most handsome man in the world,” Eva reassured Alpha as she planted another kiss on his cheek.

“Mother, stop kissing me like that. I’m not a little kid anymore.” Said Alpha with a childish voice while still enjoying his mother’s warm embrace.

He felt a sense of closeness and familiarity in his mother’s embrace, along with an unspeakable sense of happiness and reliance.

“You see, he doesn’t even like it but I do. I’m still a kid so give me some love.”Joshua hurriedly said as he gestured Eva to kiss him and pamper him with a lecherous smile on his face.

“Get your big old head out of my face, I’m talking to the love of my life.” Jokingly answered Eva as she pushed Joshua away.

At the same time, she shifted her gentle gaze towards Alpha and planted numerous kisses on his cheek before saying.” Indeed, you are not a kid anymore, you are my little adorable man.”

Even though Eva was saying that jokingly, she sometimes felt that his little precious baby was like an adult trapped in an infant’s body.

Unlike most babies, he didn’t have an innocent look in his eyes. His eyes looked exceptionally mature and were filled with intelligence and wisdom. She didn't know what made them like that.

She’s always heard and seen many kids more mature than their peers. However, it was different from what Alpha had.

He didn’t act like someone of his age at all. Even when they have brought him many toys and stuffed animals to play with, he would rather spend all of his time in the library flipping through the books rather than play with his toys.

Nonetheless, despite the fact she was happy that his baby was extremely well behaved and interested in literature unlike his block-headed father, she still wished that his baby would act more like a kid of his age and cause trouble rather than act like a mature person.

She wanted him to be a child and enjoy his childhood like most children. When his older brother and sister were his age, they used to be so energetic and flighty, but not Alpha.

He was always quiet and well-behaved like a grown-ass man. Sometimes, she would find him sitting still on his butt while closing his eyes as though he was meditating.

Alpha did not need to cast his eyes over to guess how wretched his father’s face was right then. At that point, he suddenly understood this famous saying from his previous life: love and pain will always go hand in hand.

“What nonsense are you spouting to my little angel. Do you want to sleep in the guest room for the next month?” She angrily added.
