In the upper levels of the Planar Realm, two powerful gods collided. Attacks powered by divine power were exchanged, and nearby planes were greatly affected. Some smaller planes were even partially destroyed in the aftermath. The residents of those planes never even had time to react as their worlds fell apart.
One of them, an unfathomably large lion with wings, was pushing the other back. The other god, a long snake covered in divine rocks, noticed it was losing. It prepared to escape to another part of the planar realm using a large-scale divine spell, but the lion saw through its plans. The lion attacked with all its might, layering several minor divine spells to increase its power, and shot at the snake head-first.
"Oh, no you don't!" the lion spoke in the divine language.
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
The distracted snake didn't dodge in time, and the attack landed. The snake was sent spiraling uncontrollably through the Planar Realm at unimaginable speeds. Small spacial tears even formed in mysterious lines behind it. The snake desperately tried to finish its spell, but the lion's attack ruined it. In a last effort to save itself, the snake entered the nearest plane it could reach in hopes to confuse its opponent. It was controlled by a weaker god, so the giant snake had no problem breaking the defense and forcing its way in.
The snake's view changed from the mysterious expanse of the Planar Realm to that of a smaller mountain range. Due to the plane being in the upper levels of the Planar Realm, the snake's power was greatly limited. However, it still towered over the mountain range. The snake landed in the mountain range causing destruction no being in that plane had ever imagined.
In order to escape the lion, the snake would have to leave quickly before the lion tracked it down again.
