The woman who got out of the car was Brittany, who hadn’t been back for quite a while. After realizing who it was, Claire almost wanted to run away and make an escape. Brittany noticed her nervousness and smiled coldly as she approached Claire. “So, Ms. Bardot, why have you

been waiting at my house?” Claire clenched her fists to muster up more courage. She smiled and said, “Oh, hello, you just came back, my

dear in-law, I… ” Brittany interrupted her. “Stop right there, we’re no longer in-laws, don’t call me that.” Claire smiled awkwardly. “Oh don’t say that. Once in-laws, always in-laws, right?”

Brittany’s expression darkened. “Claire Bardot, what are you even saying? My son has gotten a divorce with

your daughter, so how are we still in-laws? Our family doesn’t have the luck to be your in-laws! Just tell me

what you’re here for. But I’ll have you know that we don’t welcome you. ” Claire insulted Brittany in all the ways she could in her mind. However, she continued to put up a smile.
