The people were cheering in the city when they were present as the Chief-Generals' arrival with the scrolls to the families and relatives, while the people showing the peace banner where the people have long wished that the Dark Dragon's tyranny and crimes have stop. This is the first time Fang has ever been in front of many people of Xanadu Empire, even with other Chief-Generals--he watched Zihao was making a speech regarding the scrolls. Yinghua shivered when she had to use her white cape due to how cold the winter snow was, hoping the vacation will come and making her hot and cozy instead. "Regarding the Xue Jun and Zhou Cheng's investigation, which is far dangerous... the truth of their disappearance have never been clear. Never thought of being alive, thus let them have a rest until the mission had been reveal," Zihao announced with his usual and confident demeanor, with his arms crossed and standing firmly in front of public.
"However, we discovered that their graveyards actually has Black Beasts inside the coffin. Their bodies weren't there, no sign of possession within, yet... as I have told my comrades before, someone must've obstruct them."
The mysterious figure--cloaked in a black hooded-cape robe covered his head, only his nose and jaw were revealed. This entity was smiling wickedly in an instant when he noticed the Chief-Generals and their 'new' generals; a female and a male--as they were bringing the scrolls to the families' altar before Jingshen announced. "There are enemy among us, not just Black Beasts, Dragons, Mara clan and Dark Dragon--but INSIDE the Xanadu Empire! From now on, everyone must seek their culprit and kill them," Jingshen exclaimed, glaring daggers. The evil figure turned his back, waving a banner that represents the Black Dragon before he vanished in a flash.
Meiying watched from the balcony of the palace as the princess grew worried about the war, before she glanced at Zilian--the half-human Dragon prince she cared the most. "Zilian!" she shouted, seeing him standing on the edge in front of her. Zilian made a serious face, staring at the cheering crowds down below. Then, he look back down at her. "I understand that you wanted to find the Philosopher's Stone and stop your sealed Dragon King father... but please don't get hurt..." she begged, her hazel brown eyes was tearing. The prince sighed, knowing she cares to him a lot. It didn't take long for Meiying who stood a step near him, embraced him into her arms and his arms wrapped around her waist as he hugged her. "We have to try."
While the people were excited, even Sui-Feng was grinning as she love beating some baddies and Fang stood ahead of them with a stoic expression, his brown eyes was scanning the views but didn't really show any kind of reaction as Yinghua went and slap his back. "Hey hey, you have to raise your spirits and we can defeat them! Besides... my father will be saved, for real this time!" Yinghua cheered, it made him smiled slightly. "We must split into different groups for each Chief-Generals," Zihao spoke to the Twelve Imperial Generals, folding his arms.
"Fang and Yinghua, head to the South Mountain where the Philosopher's Stone is hidden... there's another Jade Natatorium you have to secure. Sui-Feng and Yukong, go after the other Dragon kins and make sure they won't attack the city. Baiheng and Jinghua, face off the Black Beasts. Ruqian, Naran and Chifeng, protect the Xue and Zhou clan and make sure their members' safety are secured. Yiyang and Taiyang, defending the city against the intruders. While Jingshen and I will patrol the northwest city alongside His Majesty," the commander said. Soon, everyone understood and given their order as the war's time had come, the battle's horizon going well.

Yinghua prepared their bags for their trip to Heaven's Gate Mountain, she watched their soldiers preparing their belongings. She patted on the white horse behind her, her finger scratched its chin and snout, seeing the animal loved the touch. "Fang, are you done yet?" she asked, folding her arms while waiting for him. "I'm done," he said, rolling his neck and then tapping his sword lightly. She can't wait to get that Jade Natatorium there and hope that their men will get there faster and safer. But, looks like both of them will have to be in charge, despite her reluctance after the shock she had before the start of her journey. "Princess, we're going to the Heaven's Gate, bye!" Yinghua saluted, while Meiying huffed.
"Ready!"
Yinghua leapt on the horse, following as the two moved forward. The mountains are separated from each other, a straight view of the hill of Xanadu and the horizon of the land she can see clearly on top of the hill she often climbs up every sunset. She raised her head, watching the sun hit the mountain tops slowly giving it a golden light, touching the crowns. Looking above her, she remembered seeing sun on the gray clouds, then watching the birds flying away on the woods they will cross by the mountain ranges.
As they have arrived in the grassy hill across the mountains, they stopped their horses and began their break. Fang hopped down from the horse, grabbing something from the bag when Yinghua hopped down and stretched her arms. "Yinghua, catch!" he shouted, tossing the steamed bun towards her. Yinghua turn around and saw the steamed bun that made her eyes sparked, before she catch it with her mouth and chewing it happily.
The way she catch it made Fang stifle a laugh, seeing how she ate it with her both hands. The sweet and savory flavor mixes, make her cheeks filled in the steamed dough. "These are good... have you ever been into a steamed buns shop?" Yinghua asked, grinning happily as the fluffy texture makes her mood very up-lifting. "Indeed, it was, like what my mother had bought for me and the citizens... I'll buy it once the war end, since it started."
After that, they began their journey to the forest--they stopped to take a drink from the spring water; until Fang sensed something off. "Fang," Yinghua whispered as she was standing across him, sensing an eerie silence as they didn't hear their horses. Their eyes widened , seeing the two horses suddenly laying on the ground--dead by the cut wounds on their throats. "What the..." Fang whispered, before he hold his sword on his left hip and Yinghua was holding her sword on her hand. "Who's there?!" she snapped.
"Well well... looks like humans have gotten smarter than we thought... I guess we should go back to the capital..."
A voice called out from behind them, making Yinghua and Fang turn around to see a man wearing a black mask--revealed to be none other than Yiren; one of the Dragon kins they faced in the past. "Or else, we'll kill you both!" he threatened them, unsheathing his sword. "Shit, looks like we have to fight him," she said. However, Fang gripped her wrist and narrowed his eyes in a serious tone. "You idiot, a fight won't do!" he growled, before she snapped. "Hey, we faced a powerful Dragon once, what's so scary about a Mara kind?!" she countered.
Yeah, they have went through a lot of lives that make their partnership being tighten. Including the way the soldiers believed they've always been like siblings that fought the enemy together. However, after some time passes and both of them got through the same situation, they realize how precious is their own life is--especially about the death of her best friend that change everything in a split second. "I'm telling you, this is NOT the first time we faced a powerful Dragon! Remember when we faced Huifang before?!" she added.
Fang fell silent, he recalled on how they fought with the Fire Dragon and nearly defeated her. Was it a spur of the moment? Her boldness and her determination had spurred him forward, but he have done the same way she did during those moments when she did left behind. "You're right, we DID face the most strongest Dragon from their tribe," he said as he released her--gripping his fist tightly, cracking his knuckles. Even the thought of near death memory flashback on their mind, and remembering the intense battle against the Fire Dragon where they have no chance to win it alone. They need to go back to the capital without losing any of their souls. 'Perhaps it's already decided from the beginning, only us the two chiefs are the only people that must stand and fight against them...' she thought.
As they began their battle, Yiren was slashing his sword towards their opponents, only the last minute they get away and managed to deflect their blade. Fang and Yinghua were skilled sword fighter; since their strength has developed from the battle against the Dragons and their swords also forged with silver materials that is Dragon's worst enemy. Both swords clashed each other, but during the intense fight, some soldiers managed to attack Yiren from the behind and use their arrows to bind him with their ropes. "Silver..." Yiren muttered, loathing the sight of the silver blade forged from the metal from the distant past.
"So, you must be Yiren..." Fang muttered, recognizing him as he remembered.
"Where's Zilian, the other Dragon?!" Yinghua asked, raising her sword at Yiren. Seeing their situation is dangerous as more Dragons can ambush at them, he could destroy their army if his backup is coming. "Does it matter, human?" he snarled, before pulling out a dagger and cuts through the ropes on his arms, chest, and his feet. "None of your business."
Until, they saw a masked man suddenly appeared--stopping the mysterious man in black mask and using his light power to blind him. "Darn you, Zilian!" he sneered, before the man transformed into a black dragon and flies off into the sky. Fang hissed in pain when he hold his injured arm, before Yinghua helped him holding the sword on her left hand. "It seems like, you can never have a chance if your goals are foolishness at least," the man told him who left, before Zilian turn around to face both of the Great Warriors. "Princess Meiying told me about you two, Xue Yinghua, Zhou Fang."
Fang narrowed his eyes, how did he know about them? Does it have something to do with the Princess? As far he can remember, they did meet each other. But, did something happened when they were gone? The two captains walked down to the man, seeing his blue-and-white attire was covered from scratches and stab wounds which is still bleeding. "How...?" Yinghua asked, holding Fang's arm around her shoulders as her clothes slowly got soaked by his blood that seeping through the bandage. The mysterious masked man smiled, seeing they were so worried and protected each other's backs.
"I realized that I was just being used for my father's greed to take over Xanadu and obtain the Philosopher's Stone, though I only want to get that stone to bring back my mother's soul. Besides, Meiying made me feel something... that human feels--because I'm a half-human," he explained. This made Yinghua stared at him for awhile, before it brought her back from the dark place and the reality. "Before this, I was only thinking myself and my own desires. Even I betrayed my own human friends and killed all the humans because of what my evil father did to me, now... Meiying changed my viewpoint. Ever since that day," he continued.
Zilian wanted to meet the person who was responsible, the one who took his own mother away from him. The loneliness didn't do well for him, as he remember spending months searching on his own--trying to find his other half clan, the family of the nine clans together in Shangri-La.
"Okay...? Do you know where's the Jade Natatorium?" Fang asked, slowly standing up on his feet after she helped him. "Over there," he pointed towards the bushes at the end of the woods, it takes them thirty minutes or less to reach. Their path will be leading near from Heaven's Gate, and luckily they don't have to take a long way through. Zilian watched them, he had to make sure that Yiren won't stand in his way. Hearing a faint laughter in the distant, he turns around to see an incoming figure of a red dragon with a golden horn. "So, it seems I got the interest for them, huh?" he said, narrowing his eyes. "Also... I will stop my father at all cost."
Yinghua came across Huifang who was observing the steaming rivers in front of her, she recognized her during the Great War when she fought her after she killed numerous soldiers on her way with her flames. "As I can see, you just can't get enough the flames and its ability to grow ever mightier, little brat," she taunted, although Huifang turned her head towards her. 'These people were all a bunch of weaklings, this should be so easy,' she thought, without wasting anytime; she unleashed her fire balls against Yinghua as she swung her blade to reflect the fire balls and sent them back. Because her sword has a silver materials forged with Fang's sword, it would be enough to deflect a Dragon's magic.
"What an irony, a human could wield a Dragon's greatest weakness. Such fascinating weapon," she taunted Yinghua, spinning the spear to evade her sword and try to grab a hold on her. "That can be dangerous, even I can't be always lucky and I cannot trust on my skill much," Fang replied, before he evaded Huifang's lance. Seeing the opening, he swings his sword and threw the amulet, but she was faster than before. "Last time; we managed to knock you unconscious! No wonder, you're a human!" she spat.
"You're the punching bag here!"
Huifang's eyes widened when she saw Yinghua caught the amulet and press it on between her chest, not only the silver materials are strong against the Dragons; it also have an effect on the human's body when they are facing powerful Mara kinds. The Mara of Fire collapsed and got hit by Fang's sword, before transforming herself into her Dragon form and flew. "Huh, enemies should not flee before victory. Unless you're a coward."
They have arrived at the Jade Natatorium in the cave, it's beautiful with its dazzling emerald green gemstones embedded everywhere inside the caves. Fang looked around, it's quite breathtaking although there are mosses surrounding the places, then they saw the big jade stone upon the golden tray. "So, any clue about the Philosopher's Stone? Also, both of our parents?" he asked, Zilian nodded as he was examining the old documents kept inside the steel drawer.
"It seems like, the Philosopher's Stone. A special kind of stone that can be able to combine all the elements into a single weapon or it can be used for multiple reasons, once they have gathered many gems and crystals. Many wizards had created it through their great alchemy skills, they were unable to obtain the power since it can never be mastered. However, it also contains 99 wishes with unlimited elements. Basically, it's using the combined powers into a single master," he told them, it makes sense; wishing their families being saved.
Both Yinghua and Fang never recall how do their families know about this until the latter found his grandfather's memo, especially those about the scrolls, the clues and most importantly, the history--the beginning where the Stone's legend began. "Regarding your parents... I saw them being frozen by one of my kins from former Khagan Empire. But, don't fret... because he's injured--I can keep him away from them and I hid their frozen state in here. The other Dragon was taken prisoner in the dungeon as of now."
If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
The duo was confused, why would Zilian want to protect their families? Let alone putting himself on the line for the Xanadu! However, since their Emperor gave a high regards for him... Zilian wanted to prove himself and saving Xanadu, returning him the favor he deserved. He felt disgusted that most of his kinfolk served the Black Dragon's cause. To be honest, Zilian hated his father with a passion but it didn't mean that he's a low life coward who runs away. "I wanted to restore my mother's soul, she's a human who don't deserve such a thing. She was my father's lover, and she was even one of the relatives belonging to the Four Shangs. Until, he left her once she died," he said, turning to look at the frozen prisoners. "I never see her again. My father took away everything, his life being a part of mine, that's why... the stone shall belong to them, not us. And... I will change that."
Fang listens when he noticed a golden feather fell down from his robe, Yinghua picked it up and showing the feather on her fingers. "This feather, perhaps...?" Fang guessed, but she looks uneasy at the sight of the golden feathers--seeing that some Golden Phoenixes have a connection with the Philosopher's Stone, a bit too suspicious for the sudden appearance of it. Now, that brings a question--how did this Dragon end up getting a rare feather on him? "Oh, that? Yeah, Lady Yukong had given a token as a sign. In order for her to determine if I'm worth or not, actually. A golden Phoenix feather. But, in order to stop the Dragon King... and the Dark Dragon, not in this era."
"Huh?"
Despite being half-human, Zilian still have the Dragon king's blood running in his veins--even though he's a half-human. "Not all kind can stop them, silver materials are not enough to defeat his corrupted energy when his body is bathed in the venom and darkness. Phoenixes are known for their magical divinity of the sun and the skies, their tears and flame are meant for humans--not dragons," Zilian explained further, which he sighed. "So, when you use the Philosopher's Stone... don't wish so many things at once. You can end up being a coward, just be straight with it."
Zilian take out his amulet and touched it to the ground, causing it to illuminate and a stone platform rose from the ground, with water trickling down--now the pool began to vanish and entered inside the amulet inside the crystal glass of the amulet. "Take it and come back, the Philosopher's Stone is located at the farthest edge near Xanadu," he told them, before he turn towards the direction behind them as if he heard a sound. "I can see him, and Huifang is going to ambush in your position. Hurry!" he snapped.
Fang and Yinghua quickly fled and disappeared into the bushes; heading towards another bridge to cross into Heaven's Gate. Both of them began to climb up and followed the track as their horses have died earlier, along the way, Yinghua gasped. There are tons of dead bodies in the woods they just finished few hours ago. It was like someone mercilessly slaughtered them and they were hidden by bushes, the snow must've hide their corpses. "Wait, I'm not feeling very well. It's suddenly getting darker," Fang murmured. They finally saw Yiren, who blocked their path and unsheathed his sword. "Get back."
"I've been biding my time, waiting for the right time to meet face-to-face with you. It's been long since I killed so many humans, except since your father... my older brother sacrificed himself to save your lives. For the record, I won't waste any time or kill just for fun," he snickered, cracking his knuckles when he is eyeing them closer.
Yinghua raised her sword, her bloodlust eyes were glaring daggers at him. "I've waited for such a long time, and now I'll get my revenge," she hissed, they had a rematch and this time; it would be the death fight against them. However, even the battle was fierce and brutal, they barely wounded him. "Man, you're no fun--both of you."
Yiren said as he revealed the stone to them; a mysterious object that fits inside the hole of a wall-pocket. A black orb-like that is having a strange energy source. It was the Philosopher's Stone! "Shit! All along, this bastard managed to get the stone?!" she muttered, holding her injured arm and her head was bleeding. That's when they realized, Yiren held them off the moment they found the Jade Natatorium and hid the prisoners somewhere. And they missed a chance to save their families...
"Stupid humans, as for your parents--"
He laughs, and yet, it horrified Yinghua to realize what he meant. "Don't you dare!" Fang shouted, before lunging himself as he unsheathe his sword and gunlance, despite his whole body was covered by wounds. Then, a flash happened--they can barely keep up the pace before it ends quickly. Blood spilled on the white snow; Yiren pulled the weapon out from Fang's torso and the man falls to the ground while Yinghua gasped in horror. This man's rage isn't funny, it was just too much.
"FANG! NOOOOO!!"
After killing him, Yiren placed the knife next to her cheek and stared at her in the eye. "Look, brat. Zhou Fang's fate is sealed. This is your choice... join your parents, or stay alive and watch them die and rot," he mocked. When he touches the flesh on her cheek, she tried to stop him but her gunblade and sword was laying on the ground due to her wounds. Until, she froze when her chest got stabbed with her eyes widened. "This will be the end..."
All her memories of her family that used to be happy; the picture of her together with her laughing families; the celebration of her joining the army's parade, and her meeting Fang at the stairs. As she close her eyes, that will be the last time the Great Warriors failed to save the world and Xanadu. Yiren was about to end them with his ability, until he froze when someone stabbed him from the back. It was... he still retained his youth after being frozen for years with his friend. "You... You're alive," Yiren murmured as blood seeped from his mouth, before the knife lodged deeper. This gave him a chance, as he pulled the weapon out and Yiren turn around to see another youthful presence. He beheaded the dragon with his sword, killing him in no time.
As the Philosopher's Stone glowed in bright red and golden light, as if two wishes has been made before the footsteps left both of them. Fang stirred awake, recovering his vitality and energy when he was able to feel the warmth seeping through his veins after the powerful flash hit him. "Ugh... what happen?"
The wound was no longer there! And not only they found the Philosopher's Stone, someone just saved them from Yiren. Their mysterious savior had also thaw their parents, returning them to their real form! He glanced at Yinghua who coughed blood and the blood seeping out the corner of her lips--it made him panicking in no time as he reached to her and lifted her into his arms. He wiped away her wounds, before he let her rest upon his lap. "I'm still alive, idiot..." she muttered, despite the wounds are already healed. "Yinghua... Goddammit, I've thought I lost you," he said.
Fang embraced her in his arms, his brown-eyes turn misty before the tears fell. Despite being childhood friends, he considered Yinghua more than just partner, and he can't forgive himself if he can't protect her. "Please... don't say that," he stuttered in a quiet sob, feeling relieved to hear her again. Yinghua patted his back, embracing him back. "Alright alright... back to the Philosopher's Stone then," she responded, pulling away from him. Her wounds have healed, which meant they still had time and the stone is within their hands. "Also, who healed us? I saw our parents were safe."
Both of them got up and walk towards the Philosopher's Stone sitting ahead of them, even their bodies are slowly healing the wounds they got. He realized that the cut wound was only scratches as it was slowly fading from their body. "Guess, our questions can be answered after the war is over. But, Zilian didn't say anything about the Dragon King... and the Dark Dragon... like, we're not ready to defeat these two evil dragons yet," Yinghua said, before Fang nodded to her direction as she took the stone. "That's the problem, but we should head back and tell the others. At least, the mission has been accomplished."
"Definitely."
Meanwhile, Sui-Feng and Yukong are dealing with the Dragon kins like Saran and Huifang. Sui-Feng had a rematch with Huifang as she ended up sparring blades against her. Yukong deflect the ice attacks from Saran, she couldn't believe this male Dragon kin is very deadly despite his injured state. Both of them were dancing their weapons, trying their best to knock down the powerful foes while the fire blast and energy blasts fought each other and pushed away. Sui-Feng stabbed her gunblade in Huifang's feet and blood sprayed upon her torso, using her sword to slice the throat, leaving a large cut open wound and letting her blood gushed out. Huifang screamed in agony, stumbling back before she transform into her Fire Dragon form, she let out a powerful roar which the people down below could've felt like a terrorizing scream.
Sui-Feng pulled out her other gunblade as Huifang continued thrashing violently while a few soldiers are either getting trampled, smashed or burnt to a crisp. She can see it coming as she leaped and firing beams toward the head, before blasting through the eyes. Saran got injured as well, before he reverted back into his Ice Dragon form. "Yukong, do you think we should do this part?" Sui-Feng asked, looking at Yukong with a frown on her face. Yukong let out a sigh, holding onto her catalyst that have flame ornaments as a form of the catalyst. Saran glared daggers and unleashed his ice powers against the two, however both of them reacted quickly and Yukong shot a energy pellet using her catalyst with Sui-Feng combining her gunblades and charged up their attack and releasing a large wave that burst the ice fragments and slammed their weapon towards the powerful foes and crushed them for good.
The Dragons are very strong to kill them, they have no choice but slaying them completely. The people witness the destruction, but one can see a white-greenish healing glow from Yukong's hands. "Seems this isn't the end of our struggle," the vulpine-hybrid human warrior stated, glancing at the view. In her mind, many things are happening a moment ago. The war will always continue, she have no choice--she must fight without end. "I guess I have to unleash this ultimate power," she said with a grin, making Yukong glanced at her. "What is it now, Sui-Feng? Did you have another option, a plan perhaps?"
"Oh, I do!"
Sui-Feng smirked at the view, before she rose her fist and slam it down to the ground with bending her body--creating a huge turquoise wave around her as she unleashed her wolf-like spirited familiar phantom and her dual gunblades morphed into her gauntlets with blades on top. She grinned with confidence, facing the incoming enemies like the Borisians and the flying Black Wyverns alike. Her eyes turned red with aqua-blue ring-like pattern, before leaping and jumping forward from the ground as she hit them as though she was fighting an invisible person. Her trusted allies remain where they stood, she also used her aura's tail-like form and wrapped a few beasts and slammed them down and threw them against several buildings. "I may not have a vulpine tail, but that DOESN'T mean I'm not part of the Sky Fox clan. FUCKING BULLSHIT!"
When a horde of a dozen wyverns heading their way, her eyes glowed like a red ring and unleashed a dark waves, engulfing them into bright flashes as their bodies were turned into a form of a daffodil, peonies or irises and landed down at the ground. She managed to burn several Borisians around the left side, their bodies turned into the said flowers with the same ability she have. Yukong watched both Saran and Huifang are endlessly attacking Sui-Feng, before she aimed her catalyst at them. "Not so fast, fools," her voice shouted when they saw the giant magic circle underneath them.
Saran and Huifang were shocked as lightning and dark aura wrapped their entire body, they can feel a little powerful surge coming from their bodies and began to charge themselves! Sui-Feng and Yukong's attacks to the two powerful Dragon kins are hitting them hard, it would seem they have gained unbelievable strength from the two chief-generals and an odd sensation inside their bodies! Yukong chanted with her magic spell she's creating and her summon circle did a destructive blow to the two, the magic circle released an explosion's smokescreen that nearly covered the entire city and beyond. Sui-Feng whistled as she stand up and reverted back into her normal form, turning around to face Yukong with a grin. "So, think this ain't that bad, eh?"
Yukong lowered her catalyst and glanced at the damaged buildings. Those are beyond repairable, it seemed several people ended up being buried underneath those debris. Both women sigh in unison, without a restful moments they've been prepared their duty and to redeem themselves.
"So, where does Dark Dragon was trapped?" Yukong asked next, turning her face to look at the soldier when she heard her steps.
"Most probably in the North, where the Zhongjing Province should be avoided. Dangerous."
Near the mountains, the soldiers who tried to pursue Ruqian who were investigating something. However, they heard a scream and a clank sound. Naran and Chifeng came across a river where they found the fainted Ruqian whose uniform was quite soaked. Naran was helping him wear the upper cape to keep her warm. They recently killed the Black Beasts, and the soldiers who were working for the Dark Dragon from the inside which happened during the past three years.
"So... these bastards almost fooled me and all soldiers," Chifeng muttered as he twirling his bamboo leaves at the corner of his lips. "So, who's the traitor of Xanadu Empire, hm?" Naran pondered, tapping his chin in a ponderous manner. "Someone must knew about the connection of their goals, the scrolls, and the place where they are keeping it," Ruqian suggested, cracking his knuckles and making up his mind to give whoever the black dragon worshiped a painful revenge. "Alright, let's do a guessing game. Who's the guy that doesn't reveal his face during the announcement?" Chifeng huffed, folding his arms and a suspicious intent was crossing his mind. "Oh wait, there's a cloaked figure, too," Naran added, and somehow, Ruqian felt like that they got the piece of the riddle.
The man wearing a black mask must've have done something--perhaps using other Dark Beast and the traitors under the disguise. Which is too risky, which one would never notice? Until, Sui-Feng ran towards them when she heard their voices. "Guys! We got bad news! Princess Meiying got kidnapped!" Sui-Feng shrieked, worried about the princess's life. Once Yukong told everything, Naran sighed. "In the name of... whatever, I'm gonna find those guys and give them the reason!" the Chief-General snarled, cursing the unknown entity out loud. "Wait, do you see the kidnapper?" Chifeng asked.
The other Chief-Generals has arrived, before Yiyang informed. "Guys, did anyone of you see Chief-Commander Zihao?" she asked in panic tone. When Ruqian remembered, he didn't see him there and Jingshen also grew suspicious. "Shit, this can't be..." Baiheng swore under his breath, they didn't hear anything and without their orders. Jingshen just learned that the scrolls might not be Zihao's, while the fused scroll could've been forged into something. For the past months, a crime had occurred by the people having same face but it was revealed as a victim of a glamour potion, whoever made that must've been involved and tried to fool their allies. "Guys! The Emperor and the Empress got injured with her younger brother!"
Yinghua shouted and everyone turn their attention towards them when they returned. "Fuck, I knew it!" Ruqian growled, he kicked a small boulder on his way. "So, what's going to happen now?" Chifeng asked, he turned around and thought of something. Did the mystery ever wanted to lure them into a trap and tricked them? Too early for anyone to decide, since the battle hasn't even began. "I'll take the lead, for now," Fang declared, becoming the Acting Chief-Commander instead. "There's no more time, all we have to do is prepare," he said as they were ready to go against the true enemy.
Zilian clenched his fists, the half-human Dragon prince will save her no matter what!
