Kieran woke up, with a dozy expression on his face. He had to think for a while to remember what he was doing before he fell asleep. In a jolt, he looked around, "Where am I?"
All he saw was... well, nothing. Not black. Nothing. There was no color, no smell. Though, he could still see himself, so that was a relief. He remembered that he... died? Oh yeah, he died. He disobeyed orders to save a few kids before stepping on a mine and blowing up. To be honest, he felt like he didn't regret that. If given the chance, he would do it again, though he would prefer not to step on any mine. He laughed at his own thoughts, though no sound came up. He was surprisingly calm, even he didn't expect that he would be calm in a situation when he died. He also didn't expect that the afterlife would literally be just nothingness.
A large, translucent panel materialized in the air before him, filled with strange symbols and text. After a few seconds, the symbols shifted, translating themselves into English. He stared at it, knocked out of his thoughts.
WELCOME, KIERAN.
YOU HAVE DIED.
BUT YOU HAVE BEEN SELECTED FOR A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY: REBIRTH IN A UNIVERSE OF YOUR CHOOSING.
Kieran’s eyes widened as he read. Rebirth? In another universe? Like reincarnation? Or is it like an Isekai situation?
As he processed the message, the text continued to change, scrolling down the screen in neat, precise lines.
YOU WILL BE REBORN IN THE STAR WARS UNIVERSE. YOU HAVE BEEN ALLOCATED 400 POINTS TO CUSTOMIZE YOUR NEW LIFE. CHOOSE CAREFULLY, AS YOUR DECISIONS WILL SHAPE YOUR DESTINY.
“Star Wars?” Kieran said out loud, a surprised grin spreading across his face. That was unexpected. Star Wars had been his favorite fictional universe growing up—he used to dream about wielding a lightsaber and moving things with the Force. And now, somehow, he was being given the chance to live it.
The screen blinked, and several options appeared, each with an associated point cost.
----------------------------------------
As Kieran scanned the screen, he saw a more detailed breakdown of options than he’d expected. Each choice had a point cost, and some even had trade-offs—selecting certain “negative” options would give him additional points to spend, though at a cost. He felt a bit like he was customizing a character in a game.
At the top of the screen, his available points were listed as 400.
----------------------------------------
RACE SELECTION
Each race came with unique traits and abilities, and the cost of each option depended on factors like natural affinity for the Force, physical abilities, and inherent traits. Kieran could scroll through a range of options, from common species to rare, ancient lineages. Some species would require a significant point investment but came with strong advantages.

There were many other races but he knew these were the ones he would be choosing from. He was contemplating choosing the races from these because, well, they were powerful. Granted, humans were not powerful, but they were what he was most comfortable with. As for Zabark, while they were not as powerful as other races, Maul, one of his favourite characters, was one of them. He'd probably not choose them but it would be one of his picks. He knew a little about Sephi-Human Hybrids. They were a hybrid between Sephi and Humans and they looked like elves. That was all he knew. As for the others, he only knew two more, which were the Celestial Descendant, which would be extremely powerful, and the Ancient Sith race. As powerful as all of those choices were, he was more keen on choosing either Sephi-Human Hybrid or just plain Human. He didn't want to waste too many points.

And he really wanted to look like an elf so he chose Sephi-Human Hybrid. And the fact that he would also have an extra hundred years of longevity also made it his top choice. While there were other races that gave far more lifespan like Yoda's race, they were either not to his aesthetic or cost too much.
Remaining Points: 300

FORCE POTENTIAL
The next category was Force Potential, a measure of his raw connection to the Force. He saw a note indicating that while Force Potential wouldn’t dictate his skill (that would come with training and experience), it would set the upper limit of his potential.
FORCE POTENTIAL OPTIONS
1. Average — 0 points
* Equivalent to minor Force-sensitive characters in the Star Wars universe.
2. Moderate — 50 points
* Comparable to lower-level Jedi Padawans or initiates.
3. High — 100 points
* Comparable to most Jedi Knights, with the potential to reach Jedi Master level like Obi-Wan Kenobi(Legends) and Revan(Legends).
4. Exceptional — 150 points
* Comparable to Jedi Masters Yoda(Legends) and Mace Windu(Legends), and powerful Siths like Sidious(Legends) and Plagueis(Legends).
5. Legendary — 200 points
* Nearly on par with the greatest Force-sensitive beings in history, though still slightly below Anakin Skywalker’s potential but above Luke Skywalker's potential. Capable of near-limitless potential with enough training.
Kieran selected Legendary Force Potential with hesitation. This would leave him plenty of room to grow and reach incredible power levels over time, which seemed worth the investment. Even though it was slightly below Anakin's potential, he would still be around that level so it was worth it. He knew just how powerful Anakin could have been if he hadn't lost all of his limbs against Dooku and Obi-Wan, which dampened his potential. After all, he beat the Son and Daughter on Mortis.
Remaining Points: 100

MEMORY CUSTOMIZATION
As he scrolled down, Kieran saw the Memory Customization section. This gave him the option to erase some or all of his memories in exchange for additional points, though each choice came with specific drawbacks.
MEMORY OPTIONS
1. Retain All Memories — 0 points
* No additional points. You keep your full memories of your previous life.
2. Erase Selective Memories — +20 points
* Retains key memories and personality, but loses some emotional connections to your past. This might make you feel slightly more detached from your old life.
3. Erase All Memories, Keep Personality — +40 points
* Erases all personal memories but retains your core personality, along with all your knowledge of the Star Wars universe. This choice would make you feel mentally younger, around age 8 or 9, though you'd keep your intelligence and adaptability.
4. Erasure All Memories including all knowledge of Star Wars, Keep Personality — +60 points
* * Erases all personal memories but retains your core personality. This choice would make you feel mentally younger, around age 8 or 9, though you'd keep your intelligence and adaptability.
After thinking it over, Kieran chose Erase All Memories, Keep Personality. The idea of having a fresh start without the weight of his past appealed to him, and he figured the extra points would be helpful. And he didn't want to lose his biggest advantage, which would be his future knowledge.
Remaining Points: 140 (including the +40 from memory erasure)
FORCE ABILITIES SELECTION
With his remaining points, he could now choose from a variety of Force abilities to complement his Legendary Force Potential. Each ability had a point cost, and he could mix and match to suit his preferences. The abilities ranged from combat techniques to more mystical, support-oriented powers. He chose the ones below.
FORCE ABILITIES
1. Force Vision and Precognition — 30 points
* Occasional glimpses of the future and heightened danger instincts.
2. Empathy and Aura Reading — 20 points

3. Telekinetic Mastery — 20 points

4. Healing Trance — 20 points

Remaining Points: 40

LIGHTSABER TALENT
The next one was for his lightsaber talents, while not as crucial as the Force, was still cool enough for him to want it. It was also one of the reasons Kieran decided to erase all his memories. It came with the same note like Force Potential, which indicated that it would not be his skill level but rather, his upper potential.
1. Average — 0 points
* Comparable to a beginner or someone who has seen a lightsaber but lacks practical experience. Basic handling, untrained or minimal technique.
2. Moderate — 10 points
* Comparable to someone who has basic training. Can wield a lightsaber competently but lacks finesse. Might be able to defend themselves in a fight but is still learning advanced techniques.
3. High — 20 points
* Comparable to an experienced apprentice or Knight in training. Good command of basic and intermediate techniques, able to hold their own in combat, and execute basic offensive and defensive maneuvers with confidence.
4. Exceptional — 30 points
* Comparable to a seasoned Jedi Knight. High proficiency with a variety of lightsaber styles, able to take on skilled opponents.
5. Legendary — 40 points
* Comparable to a Jedi Master or a legendary duelist. Nearly unmatched in lightsaber combat, with mastery of all styles and the ability to adapt in any combat scenario. Capable of incredible speed, precision, and near-perfect technique. May rival the greatest duelists in history, showcasing near-limitless potential in the art of lightsaber combat.

He really liked to min-max so he chose to have Legendary potential in Lightsaber as well.

FINAL SUMMARY
The screen displayed his choices as a final summary:
* Race: Sephi-Human Hybrid
* Force Potential: Legendary (near Anakin-level)
* Memory Exchange: Erase Memories, Keep Personality
* Force Abilities:
* Force Vision and Precognition
* Empathy and Aura Reading
* Telekinetic Mastery
* Healing Trance
* Force Infusion
* Lightsaber Talent: Legendary
A confirmation button appeared at the bottom of the screen, flashing expectantly.
Kieran took a deep breath, his fingers hovering over the selection. He smiled. He was about to forget about himself. It would be good. He had witnessed many traumatic things, things he did not want to carry over to his new life. He felt like he was about to die. He would still have his personality so it wasn't that bad. He sighed and selected confirm. After that, everything went blank, and the individual from Earth known as 'Kieran' was gone, forever.
