Prologue

Rizky was sitting by the roadside, sipping iced tea from a plastic cup, all alone and at peace. Suddenly, from a distance, he spotted Adi sprinting past him without even a glance.

“Uwoooooo!” Adi screamed as he ran.

Rizky just sat there, stunned, not sure how to react. Moments later, a group of high school kids came chasing after Adi, yelling angrily as they passed by.

“Get him!” “Don’t let him get away!”

Once again, Rizky stayed silent.

He closed his eyes for a moment, took a deep breath, and sighed. “Haaaaaaahh…”

Finishing his iced tea, he calmly walked to a trash bin, threw away the cup, and then started running after them.

“Wait up, you guys!!”

Rizky sprinted with all his might towards them. When he got close, he shouted.

“DIIIII!”

Hearing this, Adi stopped, smiled, and shouted back. “You got my back, right?”

“YOOOO!” Rizky yelled, charging at the group with his fist ready.

Adi turned around and started fighting the group from the other side.

They took down the entire gang together. Rizky and Adi were the local champs, so it wasn’t surprising that even twenty guys couldn’t beat them.

“Let’s head to my place. Grandma’s cooked,” Adi invited.

“Sure, by the way, those were kids from High School 52, right? What did you do to them?” Rizky asked.

“Ah, nothing major. I already forgot,” Adi laughed.

Rizky could only shake his head as they walked to Adi’s house together.

When they arrived at Adi’s house, his grandma greeted them. “Adi, why is your face bruised again? You said you were going to school, but you come home like this every time.”

“Don’t worry, grandma. They were just looking for trouble. What’s important is we won, right, Ky?” Adi said, pointing at Rizky.

“Ehehe, yeah, grandma. They started it, not us,” Rizky added, scratching his head.

“Alright, just stay safe and remember, don’t be the ones causing trouble. Now, let’s eat; the vegetables are ready.”

“Yes, grandma,” they replied in unison.

After eating, they took turns washing their plates and helped grandma with the dishes. Then they went outside to sit for a bit.

“So, what’s the deal with those High School 52 kids?” Rizky asked, still curious.

“I saw them bullying Mr. Nyoman earlier. That’s not even their territory. Plus, how dare they, high school kids, bully an old man? So I stepped in. But then Rendy, the leader of 52, showed up with his gang and chased me. Good thing I ran into you, hahaha.”

“Rendy? Which one?”

“The bald guy with a birthmark. You knocked him out.”

“Huh? That was 52’s leader? Seriously? How bold of them to cause trouble in our area,” Rizky mocked.

They both laughed heartily, reminiscing about the incident.

“Adi, get some chicken seasoning from the market! I forgot to buy it for tomorrow’s catering,” grandma called from inside the house.

“Sure, I’ll come along,” Rizky said.

“Okay, grandma, we’ll go get it now,” Adi replied, grabbing his sandals.

As they walked to the market, they suddenly heard a loud thunderclap nearby.

“WHAT WAS THAT?! It’s so close!” Rizky shouted, looking at Adi.

“Yeah, let’s check it out!” Adi said, running towards the sound.

Before Rizky could protest, Adi was already off, and Rizky had no choice but to follow. To their surprise, they found a human-sized black hole in the middle of the road. Rizky realized it was dangerous.

“Adi, stay away from that! It’s dangerous!” he warned.

Adi paused, hearing cries for help from within the hole. But he wasn’t sure.

“Someone’s calling for help in there, Ky!”

“Don’t mess around, Adi! We don’t know what this is!” Rizky replied.

“Help…!” the voice cried from within.

Adi couldn’t just stand there. “Sorry, Ky, but I think someone needs our help.” He looked at Rizky, confused, then smiled and approached the hole, trying to touch it.

As soon as Adi touched the hole, he got sucked in and disappeared from Rizky’s sight.

“ADIIIIIII!!!” Rizky screamed.

He didn’t hesitate and dove into the hole after Adi. The hole pulled him in, taking them both to another world.

In an instant, the hole vanished from sight, as if the sound, explosion, and their existence had never happened.
