When morning came, Lida was the first to wake up. She normally had to help with the daily cleaning in the tribe. She felt a little confused after waking up in an unfamiliar environment. However, as she remembered the events of the previous day, her cheeks shone red from embarrassment. She still can't believe she did something like that with her child. Lida wanted to get her mind off of it, so she took the liberty of trying to tidy up the den.
Arzhen was awoken by the unfamiliar noises. Opening her eyes lazily, she looked at the hard-working woman moving around her. She felt it was the right choice to bring her back. Knowing that the woman was suffering from a lack of food, she rose up and intended to head out. Passing by the woman who hadn't noticed her, she lowered her head and inhaled the woman's scent. Very happy to smell her own intertwined with it.
Lida was surprised by the silent black wolf standing behind her, she turned around to see her contented smirk. Feeling helpless she could only rub the child's snout, before watching her leave the den. After watching the black wolf disappear into the distance, she went back to tidying up.
Arzhen felt that the woman deserved something special today. So she sauntered out of the valley, heading towards the direction of the tiger territory. This caused a huge scare for the wolf tribe that thought she was coming to deal with them.
The chieftain received the news very quickly, but heard that the monsters direction wasn't towards them. He breathed a sigh of relief, although he was wondering what brought it out of its valley. The answer would come quite quickly.
Arzhen looked down at the large male tiger she had just slain, the gashes on her body and the broken trees around her proving the vicious battle that had just unfolded. She carried the corpse of the tiger back towards the valley.
The chieftain felt he had grown ten years older just listening to the reports today. First the monster left the valley, and then it came back carrying a tiger not much smaller than it. The chieftain was only thankful that she didn't attack the bear or lion tribes. Although the tigers are fierce and powerful, they all live alone. This means it's less threatening to kill a tiger, instead of those very protective and brutal lions and bears.
Arzhen carried the tiger back into the den where the woman was resting. Seeing her bloodied child come back with a massive tiger in her mouth, she felt scared. Rushing up to her child, she checked the wounds on her body. She noticed the deep gashes on her body and couldn't help but worry.

Arzhen enjoyed the woman's worry for her, but these injuries were nothing to her. She dropped the tiger and nudged the anxious woman.
"I brought you a special meal today. I bet you've never tasted tiger meat. It's delicious, hurry up and eat."
Lida heard the child's words and was grateful to her from the bottom of her heart. In just over a day the child had given her more happiness than she had ever felt in her life. She felt cared about. Which was a far cry from what she experienced in the tribe. She sat next to the tiger, and tried to tear off some meat but realised its hide was much stronger than her human form could deal with.
Arzhen saw the woman's struggle, and with a swipe of her claws she tore open the large tiger's abdomen. She watched as the woman smiled shyly at her and then began to lower her head and eat. Seeing the woman so entranced by the meal in front of her made Arzhen feel proud. She lowered her head and began to eat as well.
Lida couldn't eat much, but she made sure she filled herself up, not wanting to waste her child's efforts. The rest she watched be devoured almost insatiably by the ferocious black wolf. She couldn't help but rub the child's head. The child didn't seem to mind and continued gnawing on the bones that were left.
Feeling her hunger satisfied, Arzhen felt a different type of hunger growing with the woman's touch. She quickly transformed and took the woman back to her bed. They wouldn't have time to worry about anything else today. It would take Arzhen the rest of the day to feel her lust appeased.
Lida's husband was not as happy as he thought. He was only a mediocre hunter, and as he was getting older he only became slower. With Lida helping around the tribe, she could get some subsidy from the tribe. Now that she hadn't returned, he could only rely on himself and his son to hunt.
He had already sent his daughter to start taking over her mother's responsibilities, but the fourteen year old had been taken care of very well by Lida, and she could barely do anything right. The same went for his son. He had grown up spoiled and lazy, never learning how to properly hunt.
Thinking of the monster in the valley that was strong enough to fight off the entire tribe, he felt angry at these two useless children.
The tribe could hear his shouting at the two children, but they didn't bother to intervene. They had never taken much liking to that family, and with the slaughter that happened only a short time ago, they had even begun to resent them.
Lida and Arzhen who had just finished their vigorous activities were laying together. Arzhen had switched back to her wolf form and just like the night before, curled herself around the woman.
Lida looked at the stars littering the night sky and only felt that this must be a dream. Though her child had made her feel exhausted, it was completely different from her time in the tribe. She had too much to worry about. Her children walked all over her, and her husband expected everything, all the while doing nothing. The tribe only acquiesced to her existence when she was needed to help. Only here with her daughter did she feel like she was a person, someone that mattered.
She hoped that if this was a dream, she'd never wake up. It was too perfect, so much so, that she couldn't go back to that cruel reality.
