[Updates] - Create Your Own Dungeon <Reader Interactive>

Hello everyone!

Thank you all for reading so far! I really appreciate each and every one of you. Reading the comments definitely makes my day. Anyway, I wanted to drop a few updates. About the series as a whole and the direction it takes. Now that I’ve finished writing two arcs, I have enough material to fill up an entire volume. The consideration of self-publishing is certainly looming in the back of my head. Naturally, this would take a lot of work, so at the very least, I won’t pursue it until the first two arcs finish releasing.

I wanted to post a schedule of the remaining chapters in this arc.

[Schedule]

009 - To be released on 11/25

010 - To be released on 11/28

011 - To be released on 12/2

012 - To be released on 12/5

Starting in arc 2, the chapters will be half as long. The amount of content you receive each week will not change since chapters will be released 4 times per week instead of 2. I hope you can forgive me for this; unfortunately, it does seem that royal road favors fiction that posts every 1-2 days. I really wish I could post that often with full-length chapters, but I am tied up with work and part-time college.

[Goals]

Looking at arc 2, I do really want to talk about my goals for this series. To start with, this series is going to be a long one; at least, I hope I’ll be here for a long time. With two arcs already written and 4 planned ahead, I’m still going at full steam. I really want this story to have the kind of world you can just absorb yourself into; it won’t always be linked to the main characters. I have some plans for extra chapters in the works and some fun art in the pipeline, which brings me to the next topic.

[Updates and Contest]

I’m working on a side story to The One Who Rules All Dungeons. The side story will feature our friendly neighborhood [God of Chaos] as he facilitates duels between dungeons. From this perspective, we’ll see lots of dungeons and how they fight each other. Since it will take place in the same world, we may even see some characters appear in the main series.

I also want to give an opportunity for you guys to really influence the story. Whenever I read your comments, I realize that as dungeon masters, you are all unique. As such, we’ll be having a dungeon contest. Read the guidelines for dungeons within the spoiler tag if you are interested in having your dungeon idea realized in both the side story and possibly the main story!

Welcome prospective dungeon masters!

Now is your chance to get your dungeon brought into this world—first, some guidelines.

There is a dungeon that must be designed for the story for a certain arc in the future. This dungeon will be owned by a fairly established dungeon master and will be an antagonist. The dungeon will be created with around 1-3 million DP

You should use the following guide to choose monsters that will fit your dungeon.

Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

[Cost of Monsters] Bronze Rank [0-200DP] Most healthy individuals without experience can defeat it with some amount of injuries Silver Rank [150-2000DP] Most individuals experienced in fighting can defeat it some amount of injuries Gold Rank [1500-8000DP] Most individuals experienced in adventuring can defeat it some amount of injuries Mithril Rank [6000-25,000DP] Only individuals that have both experience and skill can defeat it with injuries Orichalcum Rank [20,000-100,000DP] Highly skilled adventurers traveling in a party can defeat it with injuries Adamantite Rank [90,000-15,000,000DP] Only a group of the best adventurers can defeat it Dragon Rank [>15,000,000DP] Only individuals that blur the line of human strength should even attempt this battle. Any dungeon with this level of monster will be automatically marked as [Rogue] The limit of human strength ~2 billion DP While not a hard cap, any monsters above this are beyond what humanity is capable of beating, as such co-existence is the only option

[Cost of Traps] Bronze Rank [0-1000DP] These traps can only cause minor injuries and are often used to buy time Silver Rank [1000-10,000DP] These traps will kill an adventurer if they are careless Gold Rank [10,000-100,000DP] Even skilled adventurers will have a difficult time with these traps Mithril Rank [100,000-1,000,000DP] These traps are highly dangerous and will kill anyone who is caught unaware of the trap Orichalcum Rank[>1,000,000DP] These traps are at the edge of human comprehension and are highly unpredictable. Any dungeon with this level of traps will be automatically marked as [Rogue]

[Cost of Rooms] Excavating interior rooms cost 5 DP per cubic meter Claiming exterior costs 5DP per square meter Decorating interior rooms cost varies wildly.

All monsters will need to be provided with food, oftentimes that food is monsters of one rank lower.

Additionally, monsters of the same type as the dungeon master will receive a 50% discount.

Designing a dungeon isn’t an exact science; as such, we can only approximate the DP spend. That being said, with this information, you should have a good feeling of what you can do with a million DP.

Comment on the concept of your dungeon below in as much or as little detail as you like. One of the dungeons will appear in the main story. Make sure you name your dungeon!

Thank you all for dropping in!
