Prologue

In middle of the great war between humans, elves, dwarfs, and half-beast. A middle-aged human that wearing his full bloodied armor could be seen. He seems to be bigger than the rest of the human’s foot soldiers and unlike the other human soldiers, he doesn’t have a shield, only his absurd large piece of iron could be seen in his hands.

The gloomy sky was filled with different type of spell. Different battle cries and sword clashing could be heard. He’s waving his large sword non-stop on the frontlines. Many of the orcs were killed by his hands and of course, his comrades were also dying nearby. His eyes seem full of vengeance but that was only the first wave. They’re the weakest, in other words, a cannon fodder.

The war between different races started fifty years ago. The reason is still unknown it may be their cultural beliefs or someone is pulling the strings from behind. It could be said that this war is the biggest since it started. All the intelligent races strangely participated with their full force at hand.

The second wave started, the humans were facing the half-beast while on the other side of the continent, elves and dwarfs were constantly bombarding each other. The humans were known as the wielder of all elements whilst their enemy, the beast, was known for their absurd strength, agility, and shape-shifting abilities. It could be said that the half-beast are the natural battle born amongst the intelligent races.

The human that wielding the large sword was still alive until the third wave of the war. He faced the leopard type of half-beast which was one of the fastest. And that was his weakness, he couldn’t hit them. The black leopard was just toying at him. His face was slapped many times by the black leopard.

The great war between the human and half-beast finished in just three days. The half-beast won and successfully conquer the kingdom of the human.

The human who was wielding the large sword awakens, his face was full of bruise. He was in the mountain of a human corpse.

As he gets up groggily, he saw that there was no one around aside from him and dead human corpses.

Did the war already finish? How many days that I slept? He thought as he walked on the human corpses.

He walked and walked while holding his large sword as it slides on the ground until he reached the only human kingdom. When he arrived, he couldn’t help but cry while kneeling on the ground.

The district that was once full of happy children were now indistinguishable. All the houses were just ashes. There was no trace of a human being.

After some time, he saw it. The human remains, they’re just bones. They were burned alive, there were even children and a baby. The human cry again but this time he seems like a kid.

Because of his loud voice, one half-beast that was walking leisurely heard him.

“Oh, there still a human survivor? From the war? What a lucky guy!” The half-beast said while standing on the back of the human. He was assigned on cleaning up the remaining of the alive humans. He is the third son of Leondor, the ruler of the half-beast. Member of the royal blood-lion beast house, he is Leondor the third.

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

When he looked at his back, the human that was supposed to be shaking in fear was full of determination. He wants to avenge them, at least kill this royal half-beast before he commits suicide.

“I am Phillip Chronos from the village of Deerburn. I might be the last human survivor.” The human said with a voice that seems to be filled with sorrow as he looked up to the skies. “The reason I’m still living is.. To kill all of you!” The human continued after the long pause as he lifts his large sword.

“What a bloodthirst! Haha looks like I’m going to enjoy this!” The half-beast lion said and positioned himself to his fighting stance. “I am Leondor the third, the third son of Leondor.” He said in a proud manner.

What? One of the sons of that bastard king? I need to kill him! The human thought and his rage went on another level.

The human was first to strike. He lifted his large sword and hit the half-beast vertically with all he got. The ground shook for a moment and dust filled the area where the human hit landed.

When the dust cleared, the human widens his eyes in surprise. The half-beast used his forearms that were covered in golden steel to blocked his all-out attacked.

The half-beast that was still smiling said, “Not bad for a human, good strength!”

The human who was catching his breath couldn’t help but frown. The half-beast attacked him using its claws, luckily for him, his sword was large and helped it to block the half-beast attacks.

He's just stepping back while blocking. He was trying to preserve his energy until the half-beast caught off guard.

They’re on who knows where in the human kingdom near the human castle. The human that has bloody body was kneeling on the ground while looking on the half-beast that full of determination.

“Not bad for a human, I want to still play around with you but-” The half-beast said but the human suddenly jump.

This was the human waited for, an opening. He lifts his large sword sideways with all he got. But this time a blood could be seen in his arms and mouth. His arms muscle were tearing apart while his bloody mouth did not come from the damage he received but resulting in gritting his teeth.

*BOOM!*

The place falls apart. The human couldn’t help but smile bitterly. He knows that he’s dying but his last strike went naught. He saw that the half-beast only lost his left arm and he knew that was far from dying.

...

The human who supposed to have already died was still alive somewhere deep underground. He lifted his eyes in difficulty and saw the unfamiliar place. He fell in the lost ancient ruin, there, he saw the different figures that holding a sword in a strange manner.

Some figures were just standing and there’s a different line surrounded them. It’s saying something but the human couldn’t understand it.

The human couldn’t get it and thus check the area around. He planned to exit but failed to do so. He tried to hit the bricks that surrounded the ancient ruin but it didn’t even bulge.

He knew that he was trap. He was bored and tried to mimic what the figures doing. It’s just a brief moment but he felt it, the unknown energy and knew that time how important these strange figures on the walls are.

He was trap for almost a month. He didn’t eat nor drink water. The reason he still alive was because he accidentally discovers the unknown energy. It prolonged his life.

After five months, his body couldn’t take it anymore. His body was like a mummy, it’s like a human bone that just covered with a thin layer of skin. Even with the help of the unknown energy, it’s still not enough. The air was so thin and he didn’t even drink a drop of water nor eat any food.

He wanted to cry but even his eyes couldn’t produce water. “I never thought.. That I will not die in battle.. but in hunger.. I’m sorry mother, father, brothers and fellow humans.. I will see you soon.” He said in a weak hoax voice that filled with regrets and closed his eyes slowly.
