Chapter 1: Reborn in Chains

Chapter 1: Reborn in Chains

In a small, humble cottage nestled on the outskirts of the Kingdom of Eden, in a village filled with enslaved individuals, young Allen grew up under the watchful eyes of his parents, Thomas and Eliza. Allen was fortunate to have not yet reached the age of ten when children were forced into their duties as certified slaves, even if it meant sacrificing their lives. Unaware of his true origins, Allen spent his early years playing in the fields, his laughter blending with the wind as he chased butterflies and dreamed of adventures.

On a quiet summer evening, as the setting sun cast a warm golden glow upon the world, a flicker of memory stirred within Allen's young mind. Visions from a different time, a different life, began to weave themselves into his thoughts. Faces he couldn't place and places he had never seen before emerged as fragments of a past that didn't belong to this world.

Confused and restless, Allen sought solace in the embrace of his parents. Clutching onto Eliza's worn apron, he confided in his mother about his dreams of a world vastly different from their own. Tears streamed down Eliza's face as she realized that in a few years, Allen would be forced into a life of slavery, where both his dreams and his body would likely face a bitter end. She held him tightly, her voice trembling as she whispered, "I'm sorry."

As Allen grew older, memories of his past life flooded his consciousness. He remembered coming from a planet called Earth and a country called India. He recalled being a college student named Ajay Varma. He yearned to share these revelations with his parents, but he knew deep down that they would struggle to comprehend his claims. By the time he reached the age of ten, he had recollected almost everything about his previous existence. He remembered that slavery did not exist in his world. However, before he could disclose this to his parents, a loud knock interrupted their conversation.

When the door swung open, burly men dressed in the uniforms of the "Chivalric Knights of Eden" stood before them. One of the knights, wearing an evil grin, grabbed Allen by the collar as he struggled to break free. Thomas attempted to intervene but was brutally beaten, leaving him incapacitated. Eliza, filled with desperation, pleaded with the knights to spare his life. Annoyed by the family's pleas, the knight kicked Eliza mercilessly in the stomach, calling her a "bloody bitch." Allen cried out for his mother, but before he could utter another word, the knights struck him with a forceful blow, rendering him unconscious.

Hours later, Allen regained consciousness, finding himself shackled and brought to a facility where everyone toiled under harsh labor, even the women. As the knights caught sight of Allen, they stripped him of his clothes, disregarding his protests. He was taken to a room where a female sorcerer prepared to cast the "Obedience Spell," a cruel enchantment that forced individuals into unwavering obedience, against their will.

Allen fought against his impending fate, desperately shouting, "Let me go! Let me go!" Yet, his pleas fell on deaf ears as the sorcerer began her incantation. For the next excruciating hour, Allen endured agonizing pain as the spell took hold of him. When the torment subsided, a symbol, the letter 'p,' appeared on Allen's back, representing the designation "Slave Zero." In a wicked voice, the sorcerer declared, "From now on, you are 'Slave Zero.' Nothing more, nothing less. Welcome to your new life."

Overwhelmed by the pain and helplessness, Allen's heart sank as he contemplated, "Is this how my new life will be?”
