Chapter 2
Two sorrowful emerald green eyes stare down at her as she attempts to comprehend what had happened. First of all, darkness attributed power? Wasn't that, according to every story ever, something a villain would have? And wasn't her goal world domination? It took her a while to realise that she had a choice in the matter. She was able to say no, right? Is declining an option?

She spat a bit of blood as she heard that. Why me, she thought. This moment takes her back to the reason this all started. The thought of Wei Mang comes to mind. She gritted her teeth. Him. The best way to avenge herself would be to live and get her revenge on him. But after thinking about it for a moment, living through so much loneliness, she felt nothing towards her past lover. Of course, she had not forgiven him, but her hatred towards him decreased. It could've been because she had a soft spot for him, but that had hardened long ago. She sighs and gives herself up to this simulation. Out of energy, she mutters a low yes under her breath with a small nod, and accepts the task. She was so focused on the whole situation that she completely forgot about the other voice, spoken in tow with the robotic one. Then she felt a hand slightly press on her shoulder. She jumped, her heart racing and beating out of her body. When she looked over her shoulder to see who it was, she was confused. What was a middle-aged man doing here? She once again remembered receiving Xiao ZeZhou's memories. They were like a book. You could open and close them at your will. They had already been imprinted in her brain, but nothing had felt unfamiliar, despite her size and appearance. To be honest, she didn't even start it, but this man looked familiar to her, giving off a warm kind of aura. She wondered if he had anything to do with her. Racking her brain for a single memory of his existence, a light bulb suddenly shot up inside her head. This was her father, Xiao Guozhi. He was her only parent since her mother, Qi Huang, had passed away when she had only been about three years old. He had tried his best to give his only daughter the best life and raise her well, but the gods simply didn't favor them and they were cursed to live like this for eternity. In addition to the already terrible situation, she was very stupid, very naive and often caused a lot of trouble, even claiming the golden nickname of a retard. What a troublesome life she led. She thought about it, and there was probably nothing getting in the way of killing herself, but with the system watching her, it probably wouldn't let go of her that easily. An image of her father appeared, he appeared to be young and bright, right before her mother had died.

She looked back at him. Compare him to the picture, he looked like he had aged by 30 years. She felt his calloused hand still on her shoulder.
Staring at the man awkwardly, she decided she would adopt the role of his probably already deceased daughter. She wasn't too fond of this whole reincarnation idea, but she would try her best.
'Damn it, fine, I'll wait 2 months. Curse this whole system.'- she thought and finally replied to the worried parent patiently waiting for an answer.
"You don't have to worry father, I'm fine."-she smiled sweetly while grabbing his veiny, aging hand and hugging him. If her job was to be a good daughter, then a good daughter she will be. After taking care of that, she finally took the time to inspect her surroundings, glancing around the room. It was fairly similar to a hospital, every corner of the room was a creamy tint of white, shadows collected at the opposite end of the room. She slowly lifted herself up and made her way to the window with the help of her father. She really wanted to breathe in the cold air and feel the soft breeze of early Autumn. Well, she didn't know whether it was Autumn or not, it was just that it was that season in her past life. It didn't matter which season it was, she just wanted to get some air. As she glances out the window, her eyes bulge and her jaw drops as soon as she witnesses what laid on the other side of the house. There were witches flying on their brooms outside. What was this, Harry Potter? She looked down, expecting to see something similar to Diagon Alley, but instead saw hundreds of different species lurking around in the streets. There were elves, dwarfs, and an orc that could walk and talk. She stood frozen on the spot, the wind lightly kissing her cheeks and touching her skin. She couldn't believe it. She hadn't reincarnated into a book or movie.. she was reborn into a whole new world! One she had no knowledge of except for a stranger's memories. The thought of being somewhere that didn't feel like home terrified her. After all, it was human instinct. She was the type of person that believed in logic, facts, science, and nothing else. So, of course, it was hard for such a human to adapt to a world with mythical creatures that shouldn't be able to exist. She slowly took in a deep breath and heaved a sigh. Lifting up her arm, she pinched her snow-like skin.
