Meanwhile in a far away place, where light didn't exist. There were many people roaming around, watching each other with caution and madness.
The streets were governed with artificial lights. Which increased the sense of tension in that place. Lanterns, candles and there were even mashal that were placed at the end of each distinct shop and buildings.
The people here looked like they just couldn't wait to devour each other. Each one looked terrying enough. With scars running through various parts of their body. But that wasn't all, they had many weapons on their bodies. Ranging from knifes to swords to revolvers to pistols everything.
But despite the caution and murderous intent they directed toward each, they still didn't do anything. But just passed by each other as if the other person didn't exist in their mind.
This was the underworld, a terrifying place. By no means, a person who was able to come and survive here was an ordinary person. Each one of them were either vicious criminals or crazed fools who had criminal charges on their head.
But still their was harmony. Because the Boss of this place had power and money to make them cower in his presence.
Within this underworld. Inside one of the buildings, five people were sitting with grave expressions. They looked much more terrifying than those criminals on the street.
They were sitting in a roundabout manner. There was a table in front which was filled with snacks and liquor. But they weren't the one to care that much. It seemed like they were waiting for someone.
They each had masks covering their faces. The masks gave a distinct impression as if it would make you forget about the face of the person wearing that mask.
'So tell me K-5, what about the project you were going to handle,' a lanky young man said looking at a middle person with a smirk on his face.
The middle person knew their tactics and didn't bother much with his attitude. He was someone with white hair, and grey eyes.
'The retrieval of goods this time hasn't been in a good quantity. But this is because the conditions on those lands are much worse, but as I have said before. I only need to spread my hands on the land. The minute it is within my grasp, You won't be significant in the eyes of the leader anymore.' K-8 said, looking at the young man with his narrowed grey eyes. The depth in those eyes were enough to intimidate someone. But the young man near the end wasn't fazed in the least bit.
'Impressive,' the young lanky man said.
'What about the plan to unleash the old demon. Were you and your master able to find him?' the young man looked at another one of the five. This man was sitting at the far end of the table. His code name was K-15.
'The ancient texts were not clear about the information. From what we were able to decipher, the location roughly pointed into 9 distinct villages on the outer edges. So far we have searched the seven of them. But we haven't find him yet.' K-15 said he was someone who looked like he was someone of middle age by his stature.
'I don't even understand.' the lanky young man laughed. He continued, 'you can't find something simple as that and you dare to sit on this place. I can't understand how you can even have the audacity to sit in front.' A terrifying aura came from the lanky young man, much powerful that it had forced the K-15 to flinch under it.
K-15 was having a hard time breathing under the pressure from the young man.
K-8 watched calmly, he had no interest in ruining such a good show.
'Enough,' a lady sitting in one of the chairs said. As she released her own aura. Her aura was weaker than the lanky man. But still it forced the young man to look at her.
'K-10 if I remember it,' the young man said, though it wasn't visible due to the mask. But it felt like a hungry beast was staring at her. He continued, 'It hasn' been long since you had replaced the old K-10. It was a pity that the old man had died. But did you think you were strong enough to replace him.'

K-10 was someone who had joined the 10 of them with the help of another person. He was also a member of the round table. The master of K-15.
She had decided to support K-15, but in doing that she had attracted that monster's wrath. She regretted standing for K-15 at that moment.
‘K-2 I know you want to test your new found powers, but you will get the time.’ A booming voice resounded throughout the building.
K-2 suddenly felt stiff. In fact he wasn’t the only one, the other were astounded by the immensity of power they felt from those words. They too had stiffen up. They wanted to stand up but they couldn’t, such was the power.
‘Everything has a proper time. Don’t you agree.’ The voice said calmly. It felt like the voice was trying to calm two little kids of their anger.
K-2 found out he could move. He didn’t dare to wait a second and stood up instantly.
But before he him was another person. He was a young man. Who had stood up and said, ‘Emperor.’
‘Emperor,’ said K-2 following behind the young man, his head low, his voice and body full of reverence for the person who had said that.
‘Emperor,’ the other followed suit but they were a tad bit late.
‘I feel guilty for what you had to see,’ K-2 said, his head lowered some more.
‘Nothing to worry about,’ the emperor said, exhibiting a hint of playfulness.
The emperor looked down at them from the floor above. He was sitting there calmly. His black hair glazing, complementing his demon mask.
He was sitting on the upper layer of the building. Looking at 5 of the K’s on the ground floor.
‘We should begin, Emperor,’ another one of the K’s said. He was also a young man, he was very tall, but there was a sense of calmness in him. That distinguished him from all others. He was the only one who didn’t have any sense of madness in his being. He was K-1.
He was the sole one among the K’s that was present at all times in this place. There wasn’t a meeting he was not a part of. Such was his identity as K-1.
‘You may begin,’ the Emperor said. He looked calmly at all of them.
K-1 began.
‘As you know, in the past 50 years the appearance of keys has become more and more. In the last operation we had infiltrated the churches, we were able to take or kill away 11 of their Keys candidates. But in that same operation we had also lost two our members from K’s. Infact one was a member of this round table K-10.’ K-1 said. As he talked he looked at the other members from time to time, as he talked about K-10, the new K-10 couldn’t help but shrunk her neck.
‘I don’t mean to be rude or anything, but what is the point you want to say,’ K-2 interfered, he hated K-1. It wasn’t like he didn’t hated anyone in this organisation. Infact most of the people in this organisation didn’t liked K-2 one bit, but he didn’t cared about them, they were like insects in his eyes, he could squash them, if he didn’t liked them a bit.
K-1 looked at K-2 but didn’t said anything. He finally looked at the emperor and said, ‘I think the churches has succeeded in protecting their keys.’ K-1 said. Murmur spread among the others.
‘What are you implying, that all those deaths, even of K-10 was for nothing. You should give us the proof of your accusation.’ k-8 said.
‘I didn’t said that they weren’t real keys. Infact I very much agree with the fact that we had captured back then were the keys. But don’t you think, it had been too easy.’ K-1 said.
Emperor looked at K-1. Infact he had already deduced all of it, but he still felt good, when K-1 was able to decipher on his own.
‘So what is your opinion, on it.’ Emperor said to K-1. He protsahan diya to continue.
‘Emperor, I think they are hiding them by some means. We are not able to guess what it is. But if given time. We would search and present you with the answers immediately.’ K-1 said with determination.
‘You don’t need to.’ Emperor said.
K-1 didn’t dare question him. He knew the emperor, he would answer them. And that was what he did.
‘If I am not wrong, it is a kind of divine protection.’ Emperor said.
‘You mean the gods are getting involved, but why.’ K-2 asked the emperor.
But the emperor didn’t answered to him.
There was a silence for a moment. When K-10 broke it while speaking with nervousness.
‘Um, If I am not wrong, they might be preparing for something, like…’ She was stumped, she didn’t know what to say.
K-1 was not looking at her, it was as if he was trying to analyse everything by himself. But he was listening to K-10, he was listening to her very intently. When she had said the latter half of the sentence, it had dawned upon him.
‘War, they are preparing for war. But for what?’ K-1 couldn’t guess why they were to start a war, without any purpose.
‘Could it be, they are trying to take on the ten families,’ K-8 gave his own guess.
‘Close, but not close enough,’ the emperor said.
K-8 was happy that emperor had acknowledged what he had said.
K-2 wanted to ask the emperor. But he saw his emperor’s pondering over something. So he suppressed his madness.
‘I think it is finally that time.’ Emperor said.
K-2 couldn’t contain his curiosity in check and asked the emperor.
‘What time?’ K-2 said, and with that he realised he had made a big blunder. K-1 K-8. K-10 and even K-15 had started looking at him.
But K-2 saw the emperor’s eyes gleaming over something. He hadn’t heard his question.
‘The Golden Age. It seems it has finally arrived.’ The Emperor said, he started laughing. For the first time in a while he let his inner madness take over him. His laughing increased, reverberating across the building. The K’s couldn’t help but cover their ears. But still blood poured from their ears.
The sound reverberated across the entire underworld. Until it mixed in the sound of thunderclap that filled the entire skies.
