Chapter 016 : {Restrained and Lost}

Hey netizens, sorry about the absence. honestly, the only thing i can say, is that the drive to write left me completely...

I think, though, that i'll probably put up a chapter every two weeks or so, though no promises. I was absent for several months, and quit writing altogether during that time, but it's not like i've quit completely.

I'm just really bad at watching myself to write consistently, as i can be lazy a lot of the time...

Enough rambling, here's the short teaser for the chapter that should be up in a few days.

Sorry i don't have more, work and a bad sleep schedule from recent events has made it even harder to focus on stuff like this...

Edit 1: Full chapter up now, may add more to it later if i feel it's not enough...though it never is, honestly.

Alex awoke to the sound of wind in his ears, which he found strange. The last thing he could remember was that he told Siri it was an Amazonian that attacked them.

Then, next thing he knew, he had blacked out.

His stomach was pressed against something hard, and whatever he rode seemed to move sporadically. He couldn’t hear very well, and his limbs felt bound and heavy.

‘This doesn’t seem right...’ He thought to himself while he vied for control of his eyelids. They felt glued together like he hadn’t opened them in years, and the hard item pressed to his stomach made it hard to breath.

Muffled voices entered his ears as he fought with his body, too indecipherable to tell what they had said.

He gained slight control of his right arm and tried to lift his body with it, but instead grasped at air. It felt like he was dangling off a fence that rode down the interstate.

More muffled voices were heard before his mind suddenly blanked, and a fatigue overwhelmed him.

---

‘Agh…’

Alex woke again to a groggy feeling, his back against something cold and hard. He found his eyes were bound in cloth as he had tried to open them.

More muffled voices could be heard nearby, still indecipherable in what they said. No matter how much he tried to understand them, it did him no good.

He lay against the cold and hard surface he had found himself at. He tried to move his arms, but they were bound to his chest with metal chains that scraped against his skin. His legs were chained around the ankles with a metal cuff that scraped the floor.

His movement sealed, and his senses suppressed to such an extent alarmed him. Whoever had grabbed him under the noses of werewolves, and without a sound no less, had to be an exceptionally skilled kidnapper.

His thoughts ceased as he heard a metal door creak open. His breathing slowed to a whisper as his mind concentrated on his ears, the only sense he could rely on to get a feel of his surroundings now.

If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

Strange sounds of metal being hit in rapid succession came across the floor toward him, and his heartbeat grew quicker the louder it became. He heard metal clack against the floor when the unknown entity stopped before him, and words were spun he still did not understand.

Silence followed for several moments where he could not ascertain its location. He sniffed the air, his only other sense, but only dust and dirt entered his nostrils. When he gave up his search for the person and was about to feel for the metal clang he heard hit the floor, the heavy clack against the metal sounded out again close to the entrance it had come from.

The metal door slammed loudly as the entity left, which left Alex confused and scared at what had been in the room with him. His mind won out against his hunger while lost in thought, and hoped the sound was of his meal.

There should be no way a kidnapper would starve him to death, right? So he felt for the metal object from earlier with his feet slowly. His left leg hit a small metal object, which was close enough for him to scuffle over to with his bound arms. His chin met the cold metal rim and he immediately sniffed, in hope that the food was something at least edible for humans.

It smelled like sliced banana’s, and as his tongue felt around the contents, were cut into slices small enough to easily consume. He ate them quickly, his hunger slightly sated, and then search for anything they left to drink. Sadly, he couldn’t find anything else nearby in the area the chains on his ankles allowed him.

He scooted back to the wall and placed his back against it again. He contemplated the meal and what it meant, as well as the strange metallic sounds that he heard scuffle toward him.

Whoever had kidnapped him, was definitely not human. It definitely had more than two legs, if you could even call them that, and were hard enough to cause the metal to vibrate with each step. The race was still hazy though, as there were plenty that it could be, so he gave up his guesses for now.

The food, though, was a good indicator of the gender that fed him. Banana’s, sliced into bite sized pieces, would be a strange sight indeed if a huge burly man was seen cutting them. It wasn’t impossible it wasn’t a man anyways, but it was far more likely to be a woman.

He had a feeling it was though, what with his luck lately with women. Alex scoffed at his thoughts, as they were only conjecture, and decided to sleep; after all, there wasn’t much else to do until his enemy entered the prison cell again.
