Mordiaty Household
[Year 702, August 15th]
On a silent night, a thunderstorm started brewing. Wind roaring, making the trees lose their grip, and falling all over the ground. It started pouring heavily. The temperature went so low that the rain started becoming hail and falling. On that stormy night, a boy was born with a horn on his head.
He opened his eyes and saw three people standing near him.
"What does this mean, Medic!?" a man's voice screamed the medic.
"I-I don't know..." he was shocked too. "How can this happen? How can a demon be born when both of his parents are human." He stepped back in fear, he was sweating enough to fill a bucket "Don't tell me that one of you..."
Another lady wearing a long white coat stepped back and fell to her knees. She was scared, and a sense of fear took all over her body.
"No, we are not!" a lady's voice shouted in denial.
"Medic, you should leave now." the man said.
"Y-yeah, I will" The medic hurriedly took his bag and belongings "Let's go Lilian" He called the lady who wore the white dress and ran straight to the door along with her, leaving the house.
The man standing on his firm feet stared at the crying newborn kid. He was also scared of his horn but upon realizing that he was his father, he overcame his fear of that horn.
"Kilia, take care of your madam." The man ordered another woman who was dressed in maid clothes standing beside the door to take care of his wife and bring her water to drink.
The lightning struck a tree in their garden, leaving it burnt. The downpour and hails extinguished the fire that started in the garden but the fog left behind covered the whole garden.
"Where are you going, Julius?" the lady asked her husband who was asking for an umbrella from the other maid standing beside the door.
Taking the umbrella and the hat from the maid, he said, "We can't keep this boy with us. It won't be good for either this boy or us." The man walked towards his wife who was lying on her bed holding on to the baby. He took the boy from the lady in his hands and covered his head.
The newborn started crying again and his cry echoed in the whole mansion.
"Then are you suggesting that our child should become an orphan even though we, the parents, are still alive!?" the lady lashed out at the man.
"Then what should we do? Let him stay with us? So that the whole kingdom can know that a demon was born in the Earl Mordiaty's Household? Neither the kingdom will let us live nor this child." He was holding his tears back. "We have no other choice but to let him live in the orphanage, but don't worry I will think of some way to hide his horn, and when I do it. I will find him and bring him back to our household. I promise!" He was sad. Though his facial expressions displayed that he didn't care, but his wife knew that he was only trying to be strong in front of them, he was crying inside.

Tears started flowing from the lady's eyes.
"Let me at least see him for the last time." The lady took the child in her hands. "I am sorry...my child. I wanted to raise you and wanted to see you grow into a wonderful man. But I failed too...I am sorry." She kissed his forehead and the horn he had.
The man then took the child back in his hands and started walking to the exit of the room. His wife, totally in despair and filled with sadness, saw him leaving the room.
The man was standing at the front door of his mansion. In front was a carriage ready to leave at his command with three elemental horses ready to pull it. The carriage was personally gifted to the lord by the lady of the estate and was a perfect choice by the carriage drive to use them in this kind of weather as they could withstand any beginner-level elemental attack. He gave the basket in which the child was sleeping to the maid standing behind him and opened the umbrella. "Take care of her, please. I am counting on you, Serita." he continued. " You are the only maid she trusts the most."
"I will do as you say, My Lord," she replied with a firm and reassuring voice. "No need to care about the lady, she would be fine."
"Yeah, I hope so too..." he said
"My Lord, are you alright with the decision you are making? Are you alright with letting the young lord become an orphan?" she asked. She was checking if the lord made this decision, he needs to have a strong will to do it, Does he have that?
"I don't know...but I can't ruin this child's life. He will suffer a lot if he stays at this mansion." he said.
"I agree, My Lord." Looking at the child and stroking his head gently she said. "Be well, young lord."
With that, the man sat in the carriage and left the estate.
It was still pouring heavily, the lightning struck at every tree the carriage was crossing. Even though the horses were scared, they went straight and tried to ignore it. They were well-trained.
After at least a half an hour carriage ride, he reached his destination. The carriage stopped in front of an orphanage. He got off from his carriage while carrying the basket in his hand, walked to the orphanage's main door, and stood there.
Looking at the child sleeping soundly he said, "I am sorry Will, or I should say Willford Von Mordiaty. I am an incompetent father, I can't even raise you as my son...I am really sorry." A few tears came out of his eyes and one of them fell onto the child's face waking him up. He took out his pendant and kept it in the basket that had a paper slip inside.
He kept his son at the doorsteps and then turned around.
"I will surely find a way for you to live a normal life. Goodbye, my son." After a tragic goodbye, as soon as he took his step away from him, lightning struck at one of his three horses. They got scared and started to go on a rampage but the carriage driver being skilled at his job calmed them down.
The child's father got scared and emotional at the same time. He ran to his carriage leaving the boy crying at the doorsteps of an orphanage on that stormy night. He sat in the carriage and left.
A few minutes later, hearing the child's cry, a lady opened the door of the orphanage to check who it was only to find an orphaned child.
"Whose child is it? They left this child here on this stormy night. Hah..." the lady sighed and looked around to see if anyone was there. She picked up the basket and saw a pendant kept on the belly of the child. She opened the pendant with her left hand and saw no pictures of anyone inside it. She was a bit confused as to whose it was. Inside the pendant, she found the slip. Before opening the slip, she closed the main door and went inside.
Walking inside, she opened the slip and saw something written on it. The words that were written on the slip were Will. That was all it had.
"Will...so his name is Will huh?"
"An orphaned kid?" another caretaker, roaming around spotted her carrying a basket.
"Yeah...his name is Will," she replied.
"I see. Welcome aboard, Will '' the caretaker said to the child. "But why is his head covered?"
"I don't know..." she was as confused as the other caretaker was.
