"Abomination! M-M-Monster! Stay away from me!" Dr. Deadwood watched with a solemn gaze as one of his assistants was smashed into a bloody pulp.
"Sir, you must run quickly! That boy will kill you otherwise, so please-!" Before Head Assistant Laz could finish talking, a single hand pierced through his heart. In front of Dr. Deadwood, a peculiar black-haired youth stood. One of the youth's eyes was blood-red, and had a cross within. The other was pitch-black, with a golden circle dancing inside of it.
"Deadwood."
"Haku."
The two exchanged greetings. The whole facility was entrapped in a deadly silence. The halls which were originally a beautiful white color had been painted crimson with blood. It was a gruesome scene of carnage.
Haku looked at Dr. Deadwood, the man who had taken away everything from him. Normal life. Normalcy. Hell, even a faint childhood of happiness was stripped away. Despite spending over five decades in the Reichart Institute, Haku still possessed the mentality of a child. Only it also was accompanied with the coldhearted mind of a veteran killer.
"Why, aren't you begging?" As fast as lightning, a single hand grabbed the throat of Dr. Deadwood. Before a moment passed, the lithe form of the doctor had been lifted and pinned against the wall. Dr. Deadwood coughed lightly.
"Why should I?" Dr. Deadwood calmly replied before bitterly smiling. "You suppose that I wanted to do this and that? To create an abomination who has the blessing of the Sea Devil and is fated to oppose God, to oppose the Heavens? I think not. I knew, before long, before I had even injected the first strand of Demonic Power into your body, that you would one day break out and gain revenge for how much we had wronged you."

"Kill me. Kill me and allow me to reincarnate. One might wonder. This is Karma! Me giving you your godly strength can be considered sowing Karma. You killing me, could be considered reaping Karma. After all, Karma is a mysterious thing." Dr. Deadwood laughed. The man knew that today would be his last. After all, the monster had been released.
They tried to play with forces beyond their own comprehension, and this is the result.
Che!
Haku snapped the neck and threw the limp body of the doctor aside.
Soon, Haku was out of the science facility. It was a research lab, a hidden research lab that committed terrible atrocities in the name of science. At first, moral conscience had lessened the pain...the torture. Before long, a startling numbness had encased their heart.
Just like that, a monster had been born.
"Ironic, is it not?" Haku murmered. "That after leaving the living hell...a serene paradise would greet me."
Haku took a deep breath. Today, freedom had come. Today, his life of torture and pain was over. Inside his eyes, childish curiosity sparked as his gaze took in the beauty of nature in all of its glory.
Like this, a new child had joined the world. With a sparkling gaze, Haku set out.
